Apple Store MOC
I'm trying to deeplink and the message "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board." keeps popping up. I also haven't uploaded the file from LDD (only screenshots) so I'm not sure how to add a .lxf file. Sorry, this is my first attempt at dealing with LDD.

EDIT: I fixed the problem thanks to a tutorial. This won't happen again as it was the first time I have used brickshelf (having previously used flickr).

Apple Store MOC
Hello all, after seeing all the amazing modular builds made by lego and you guys, I decided that it would be really fun if I tried to make one myself. It's a little different to the official ones. I decided that if I ever wanted to afford it, I should make it 16x32 instead of 32x32. Also it is only 2 stories instead of 3 but the first one is so tall, I don't think it will be noticeable against the official ones. Also as it is an Apple Store, my inspiration was taken off the one nearest me (google image apple store solihull for pics), in this case this means it has no windows though, which is a shame because I wanted it to be similar to other modular builds. I don't think this would be possible whilst keeping in line with the aesthetic I wanted. I would very much appreciate your help in a few ways. Firstly, any general comments on the building, ideas on improvements would really help. Secondly, I know that Lego, Design by ME has recently closed down so I would like to know where to find the parts list if this is an option. Also if somebody could point me towards a good (UK) bricklink account that could provide me with most of the parts I need. Thirdly I would like to know if anybody thinks it would be worthwhile to sell the instructions on ebay as I have seen other people do this. I was thinking I could email instructions for £5 to the buyer. I want to walk you through the set first. Here's the first pic Store 1 I don't have anything to explain in this picture as it is just an overview of the set. Store 2 This is the set taken apart into the 4 sections. The mini figures are as follows. Blue shirt man: He works in the shop floor can be placed anywhere on the ground floor. Woman: She's the one who fixes the products at her work bench Police Man: He's outside the store to stop any thefts. Other Man He's just a regular shopper. Roof Here's the simple roof, it's mainly plain but I like the skylight and it doubles up as some sort of air conditioning unit. Behind the figures you can see there are some plates; these are meant to go on a bench in the store which I'll discuss later. The keyboard is a keyboard. The 2 grey 1x1 plates are meant to be magic trackpads. Th white round 1x1 tile is a magic mouse, the piece is new and currently only available in grey and trans red in the pick a brick selection. I think I'll replace it with a round plate if it doesn't become available soon. Sign This is the sign. It looks quite good I think compared to the solihull store, real version. It attaches to the second floor but overhangs a little onto the ground floor. Floor overviews This is the birds eye view of both floors, you can't make out much on LDD so I'll explain them with other screen shots. Right bottom floor This is one side of the ground floor. At the front of the floor are ipod touches and iphones. Above them is a blown up 'poster'. There is also a genius bar on the left which has a cool bench and chair design which I made myself. You can't really see here but there is just enough space for a minifigure to walk around the bench into the back of the store through an archway. The back of the store is solely to access the top via a ladder. Left bottom floor This is the other side of the store, it has an iMac, two ipod classics and two ipod nanos. Above them is an ipod classic 'poster' and a mannequin holding and ipod classic. I don't think this is in any actual store but I think it makes the set interesting. Front bottom floor Here's the front view of the floor. In the middle table there is an ipad. Behind this is space for the keyboards, magic mice and trackpads but they are not here because according to TLG, a tile on a tile is not an acceptable technique. Back top floor On the top floor we have a work bench. On the wall there is also so apple products being hung up and some spare imacs either to sell or to fix. Front top floor We see here that this is also where the worker lives. This was basically an excuse to fit in some furniture which I think is needed in all good modular builds. Rook fitted This is just a picture to show how the roof fits on the top floor. Back 1 Back 2 These are just some pictures of the back views. I used the sloped roof because I thought it looked good, it would save on cost and there was nothing else I wanted to put there outside of possibly a toilet. That was the only thing I skipped out but really wanted. I'm quite proud of this MOC and I can't wait to hear feedback.

LEGO Superheroes 2012 Rumours & Discussion
I'm I the only one who's worried that Lego will have to rush these sets out for the movie in a sub satisfactory condition? I can only imagine all the printing errors that might befall our precious minifigures if the were rushed. Anyway I found this neat little video today:

30055 Vulture Droid mini review

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 4 discussion
Seems to me that these figures are getting more and more pieces. The hockey player looks like it has 11! head, torso, legs, helmet, visor, chestpiece, stick, puck (1x1 round stud, look at the instructions!), the two skates and the base.

I think maybe it's because minifigs are out of proportion in the first place. Thats probably why small MOC's like these can look a little funny.

A bricklink question
I've been looking into buying parts on bricklink for a fairly large battle scene MOC. I had a look at the EB trusted sellers list and 'A Minifig is for Life'. I've noticed something odd on lots of the parts that are in his store. Here's an example of what I mean. You'll notice that on some of the lots, under quantity there are two numbers. There's one number in bold but then next to it (in brackets) is another number with an 'x' before it. i presume the 'x' means 'multiplied by' but I'm still not quite sure what that means. I do have an idea that for example if I buy one 'Bright Green Plant Leaves 6 x 5' for £0.20, I will get 10 of them as next to the quantity there is an 'x10'. That is my optimistic view though So I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this issue for me?

Star Wars: The Clone Wars: season 3 discussion
I loved all the carbon freezing refernces at the start of the episode and how much they're including Plo Koon throughout the series'. Wondering if this is the begining of the Vader and Tarkins somewhat hostile relationship in the OT.

BARC V5
It just looks a little short to me, though I'm sure that somewhere, there's a pic that'll prove me wrong and that it is the correct scale.

LEGO Star Wars 2011 Pictures & Rumors
I think when new pictures get released it is awfully hard to keep trak. I posted that waaaay back when the pictures first came out but at that point, the forum was growing at a very fast rate! I think now that it's slowing down, we've all seen that there are new shades and we all agree on it.

Geonosian Machines Gauntlet
Wow one question though, why does Anakin have a green lightsaber?

LEGO Star Wars 2011 Pictures & Rumors
Actually I beat everyone to it. At least I'm quite sure I did, it was my second post after the pics were shown which I'm quite sure came before yours. Oh well, the fact of the matter is that now everybody knows that there is something (I presume a jetpack) there.

Has anybody ever had this before...
Were the orange ones by any chance from the podracer set? I had a look at my only one (ones been missing for years now) but it still has a small bubble in it. I wonder if we'll ever know the real reason and whether these apparant new colours will be bubble-less or not.
