  1. Short answer = Batman & friends will continue in 2015 and beyond. But in all seriousness, I thought they would branch out this year too, and they didn't, I expect this trend of heavy Batman to continue, just like in City where Police and Fire are repeated and even in Star Wars where many of the main characters are featured repeatedly. Nothing new, what is popular will continue to sell. Would I like to see sets featuring Green Arrow, Shazam and Martian Manhunter as the stars? Absolutely, but for now unfortunately those characters will be confined to SDCC.
  2. That is a preliminary picture so it can have figs that are missing, not finalized etc. I expect Johnny Thunder to be the one from TLM book. I wonder how close the Dropship is going to be to the movie 'prop', they look exact. Also, this is probably going to be how Benny will look (molded 'simulated' crack):
  3. Thanks for all the details. I am super happy we are getting that version of Cyclops from the game, that is easily my favorite version of him. I hope in 2015 for DC they do JL sets, like a JL Hall of Justice, Fortress of Solitude, more comic based sets etc.
  4. I agree a Safari type subtheme for City would the best solution for getting anything from sub Sahara Africa produced as a theme. It can be like the new Arctic theme, simply a exploration/research theme, no conflict needed at all.
  5. Honestly, no it wouldn't. I am pretty much satisfied with everything they have made to date.
  6. That would be really cool, I loved those little robots from the old space sets.
  7. Thanks for that information. Cyclops isn't a surprise but I am very happy we are getting him in his Astonishing outfit. That set is easily a must buy.
  8. This year looks great, that small modular is the perfect size I think, nice details. Arctic looks just as good, with a polar bear and a dog sled team (4 new huskies) and looks like they are exploring the ice for fossils again. This year is getting expensive fast. I agree that Cargo train should be another great set among a line of many good cargo trains, the animal car will be interesting and new, and I hope we get a better view of the cargo depot it comes with.
  10. According to Brick Fanatics that will be in October.
  11. Wolverine looks good, that Sentinel is bleh, hope they make it much better for the final set. No pictures of the GotG sets, understandable since they are movie based. I wonder if they will be on display at the Toy Fair(s).
  12. That is a good polybag for parts, the hair, torso and printed legs will be nice to reuse in City. I'm still holding out for Green Lantern in the Blu-ray release, those minfigs are usually packaged in their own plastic case over a polybag.
  13. Coulson, Vision, Ultron and Jarvis all need to remain their own separate characters IMHO in the MCU.
  14. According to this topic, the original line of numbered CMF will return in October as Series 12. That will be the classic CMF Series everyone is familiar with. So that leads me to believe there will be 4 Series released this year. We know from Funcom that the MMO is being released in the summer and it is being released alongside its own unique CMF Series. These minifigs are ones that Funcom and LEGO collaborated on together with the game specifically in mind. They said these minifigs and the game will be released in the 2nd half of 2014 which begins in June. My guess: January - TLM May - Simpsons July - MMO October - Series 12 It makes sense, since those who didn't want any Simpsons CMF won't feel deprived and technically there would still be 3 Series of regular minifigs released in 2014.
  15. 'LEGO THE SIMPSONS' Series has now been officially confirmed by TLG in the press release.
  16. That is what I am thinking, at least descriptions of what the sets include. I agree, it is about time we get some larger builds for Marvel, that $50-60 price point for the X-jet is about what I guessed it might be. If it comes with Astonishing Cyclops, I will be very happy. With three sets for GotG potentially, there will be a good amount of minfigs included. I am expecting at least Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Gamora, Drax, Groot (Big Fig), Ronan, Nebula, and maybe Thanos, Iron Man Mk 39 Gemini, and Nova.
  17. That is what I love about this theme, it has gone on so long, we are now starting to reach fan levels of minifig obscurity. TC-4 and the Cantina band members I never thought would be produced. I wonder if TLG is going to be doing anything special since this is the 15th Anniversary of the theme.
  18. That ship is amazing and a must buy when it comes out. The directors of TLM were instrumental it seems in having CS heavily used in the film, apparently one of their childhood CS sets is going to cameo in it.
  19. Congrats Bob! Now can we have a Destiny theme month in September, pretty please? *dumps bucket of Gatorade on Bob* Sorry I was late to the party.
  20. Green Lantern not being the green minifig in the Dropship is a disappointment but not a surprise. That is a good guess, he might be in Emmet's mech too. Or isn't there also some sort of book that will come with a fig too?
  21. No one knows, it would be great if we got one GotG, one TWS, and one ASM 2 set. However since the previous rumor only mentioned GotG and X-men, I think it would be safe to assume those three will be GotG since the film comes out in August. However I am not ruling out those options or even more X-men. On a side note, great job to TLG for listening to feedback, this increase in Marvel sets is very welcome. What if Green Lantern turns out to be a Duplo fig?
  22. Batman will come in the Police Dropship and possibly Green Lantern too. From a few pages back. Although the green minifig might just be the green Ninja.
  23. Thanks for the picture, too bad they didn't snap a picture of the whole page, I would have liked to have seen the GoTG set. The X-jet with Storm, Cyclops and Wolverine against Magneto sounds very plausible, and a must buy if that is what it is.
  24. They have an August release date. Benny's ship has 939 parts, Emmet's mech has 707, and a set called Super Secret Police Troop has 853. That dropship sounds pretty substantial. I love this theme.

Nice find, direct confirmation of what 1974 had previously stated. It will have been about 4 years since the last "City" trains sets were released, they seem to be on a 4 year cycle. Looking forward to seeing the designs.
