LEGO Star Wars 2011 Pictures & Rumors
Thanks! The minifigs do look good. I can't tell though if Leia's hair is a new mould, or the one used in Battle of Endor? And if it's the existing mould, is it in reddish-brown, or dark brown? She looks good, though. I was wondering if there was any close-ups of the actual set in the place you got those pictures from? Thanks. I'm an adult, and I love play sets. I'm not the type who like to just sit and look at my sets, I like to be able to play with them, and have room inside to have play around with my minifigures. I'm quite sure (but also kind of hoping !) that I'm not the only one around here that does that! And I really want a Jabba's Palace set, in fact it's one of the sets I want to see a remake of the most. There's so many possibilities thy could do with it...

MOC/WIP: My Modular Town
Excellent MOC's, LegoCityMann! I agree that you need to include some roads in your layout, but the individual buildings are really good. I especially love the hardware store's interior - the designs are great. The MODed bank also has loads of great details, like the sign and desk. Well done, good luck, and thanks for sharing!

Crystal Cave
The waterfall certainly does look excellent, as does the fire and the rocks. I like it! Well done, and thanks for sharing!

Best POTC Character and why?
My favourite character is probably Tia Dalma. I like her mysteriousness, and I love the scene where she is introduced (her Voodoo shack place). Also, she has an amazing accent . I'd love to see her as a minifigure. I think she should get a new female dreadlocks hairpiece mould if she were to become one. My favourite minifigure at the moment is Syrena. That amazing new female hairpiece in dark brown, what I believe is the only crying female face ever, a great tail and torso in a new colour - what's not to like? Elizabeth Swann is a close second, with her beuatiful hairpiece in a kind of rare colour, her great face and a new dress.

MOC: Skike Costumes
Great work, Follows Closely. Both shops have excellent details, and look very good. I absolutely love the sign for the costume shop, and the roof on the staircase is marvellous! Well done, and thanks for sharing!

2012 Friends Discussion Thread
Oh really? What makes you say that there's going to be a Disney Princess theme next year? Personally I'd love a Princess theme (new printed dress slopes, big Fantasy castles, new animals), but I'm not so sure well get one soon. But you seem to know what your talking about, would you care to share with us how you know about such a thing? I completely agree with you about the houses. I love LEGO houses, so I was very happy abbot last years house. I hope to see a lot more in future.

[Vig] Artist's Room
Nice vignette! I like the easel, and your decals are actually works of art themselves ! And of course, the light is a great touch. Well done, and thanks for sharing! Funnily enough, you are the reason I started making vignettes! Your excellent vignettes are quite inspiring. You made me realise that people can make great things without needing to have lots of parts.

REVIEW: 4867 Hogwarts
Thank you for the great review, Clone O'Patra! I really like this set, even the box art is great! I like the overall design a lot, especially the way they crammed in all the interior details. There's some nice new parts to be had, which is always a plus. The figure selection is good, IMO. The room choices are mostly good, like Lupin's Classroom, the divination room and the bunkbeds room. However, I feel they wasted a lot of place by not using the chambers at the bottom and that completely wasted empty room. However, it would be pretty easy to mod. If I do gt this set (which I hope!), I think I'll use the empty room as a Ravenclaw common room (blue chairs, desk, Rowena Ravenclaw statue), and add some things to the empty basements. I'm disappointed TLG didn't include the Ravenclaw common room, as it's quite important in the book. We can't get everything though, can we? Well done and thanks again for the review!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Oh, I forgot about that . I think it's possible they'll be scheduled for an April/May release, though, seeing as Series 1 and 4 had that.

What did you buy today?
On Friday I bought a Series 2 Surfer (missing surfboard and stand), a pink stud and a knit cap for £2.50 from my cousin. I'm quite happy with it, as I really wanted the surfer but missed out on him.

What was the last movie you watched?
I watched Changeling when it was on the telly on Thursday. I went to see it when it came out in the pictures a few years ago. Now, I'm not one to get all emotional at films. However, there is a few exceptions, and this is one of them. The acting is very good IMO, and the story was very captivating. It's very sad yet disturbing, and the fact that it's a true story makes it that bit more creepy. Despite the fact that it makes me feel quite upset, I really enjoy it. I'd recommend it to those who enjoy emotional films, horror films and mystery films!

Lost and found...
I lose parts all the time. Most of the times, I'm very lucky and manage to find it sometime or other. Other times, not so much. One time I remember losing a part was when my younger brother had a friend over. They were both about 5 or something, so they weren't very good with LEGO. At that time, I didn't have a lock on my door, so I just told them not to go into my room while I was out, and they promised they wouldn't. When I came back, the room was covered in broken MOC's and parts. I managed to find most of the parts and rebuild the models. However, one hairpiece (Vernon Dursley's, to be exact), was missing. I was quite upset, as it was one of the only ginger-ish hairpieces I had. I still to this day have not found that piece. I definetely agree with the people who said about the bricks running away. My door is at the opposite end of the room from the desk where I usually build. If I drop a piece, I usually finish what I was doing then go to retrieve the piece. A lot of the time, however, I find that the part is not by my desk, but beside my door. I have absolutely no idea how this happens, but it's pretty annoying.

[REVIEW] Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator 7961
Thanks for the great review, Jigsaw Killer! Four posts and your already giving us a review of this quality? Well done! The figures are excellent in this set. Pananka is perfect IMO, The new Qui Gon is great, flesh Padme is nice and Maul is great. Sure, it would've been great if Padme was in a new outfit, but she's nice nonetheless. The ship, unfortunately, does not live up to the figure's standard. The bottom looks awful, and the main part's interior is very shabby. The cockpit looks very good with it's smooth, crimson goodness. The lightsabre holder is also good. Thanks again!

LEGO Princesses
I am so jealous ! I want every one of those dresses, yet I only have four of them (CM Witch, Fantasy Era princess, Original red/black Witch, CM Giesha). Maybe someday I'll manage to collect them all. Thank you for sharing those images with us of all the dresses together. By the way, I love the figure in your avatar, very nice combination!

REVIEW: 4865 The Forbidden Forest
Thank you for the wonderful review! I really like this set. Although I don't find the parts particularly interesting, I do like the set a lot. I don't own any of the figs yet (that's right, not even Harry !), so this is a great figs set for me. True, it should have at least another plant, like a bush or something, but I think it conveys the scene well. I have a very, very limited LEGO budget, so I have to choose between a this, Freeing Dobby, the Captain's Cabin and Isla de la Muerta.

Next "Adventurers" Theme Ideas
That's a great idea! It would be a way of making adventurer's fans and western fans happy. I can imagine Native American protectors, like a Buffalo guy (and a real buffalo mould, of course!), a Totem Pole guardian and the likes. I also like Lighningtiger's polar ice cap idea. A polar bear guardian would be great! And maybe an igloo?

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
I think that they'll becoming out in April/May 2012, that is if they do come out. We don't usually find out about the next year's sets until around August-ish, I think.

Cafe MOC
Great cafe! I have to admit, I didn't bother looking at it at first (I don't usually look at MOC's that aren't directly posted here). However, after reading the comments, I had to take a look for myself. I really like the colour choices you've made, the tan and brown do work well together, as does the lime. I love the back of the building, it looks like somewhere I'd see on holiday. The interior details are wonderful, like the toilets and the kitchen. Well done, and thanks for sharing!

MOC: chinese restaurant
Great work, Scrat! I really like the navy - white colour scheme. The detailing on the Walls is also very nice. However, I'm also wondering if there's an interior. Anyway, well done, and thanks for sharing!

MOC: Lovegood home (wip)
Good job! It really does look great with all the details you added. You included almost all the details from the book, and you made them perfectly. Well done, and thanks for sharing!

POTC - Black Pearl!
Thanks for the picture! The ship is very disappointing. It looks so small and rushed. The cabin is very low, and the whole thing's just really plain. It seems very empty. I hope they change this a lot before the final model. The figures are decent. The figs they made are excellent, Davy is perfect and the hammerhead guy is great. I wish that instead of the guy with the bandana, they included Tia Dalma or a new Elizabeth, though. I hope the figurehead comes with a new wings mould, and that they change the whole fig to dark bley. Overall, it's pretty disappointing. It's still a prelim, though, so I'll wait and see. Thanks again!

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 5 discussion
Thanks for all the detailed pictures and information! The cream pie looks pretty shabby at the bottom, but that doesn't really matter. It's a shame that the Tommy gun doesn't fit in the violin case, but that also doesn't matter that much, as you wouldn't be able to see it inside. Series 5 has definetely grown on me after seeing these pictures! Although they're still my least favourite series, I still like them a lot. I've even come to like the fitness dancer, because of her torso, head and boombox. I now look forward to getting these!

Vignette: The Escape
Okay, I get it now. You meant "glove" instead of "globe". A few people seem to like the gloves, even though they're probably the easiest thing to make in the whole vignette, and it was a pretty easy vignette to make!

Single Pane LEGO Licensed Theme Funnies
Those are all quite funny, Oky, as are yours, JimButcher. The one about Kalima got me laughing for quite some time!

Harry Potter 2011 Discussion
I agree. Although the figures are excellent, the set should be about the set. I actually think they may have changed the ending. In the trailer Eskallon posted in the thread about the film (Culture & Multimedia), Harry and Voldemort jump off a bridge into a seemingly bottomless pit . It could be related to something in the book though, we'll see when the film's released. Sorry about the off topic-ness!
