[WIP] [UCS] Zeta-Class Cargo Shuttle
Definitely a solid start! My partner, ( not a big fan...) also commented that she liked the "one that looked like a turtle" because the wings look like flippers during flight mode. A good resource is the DK Rogue One Ultimate Visual Guide. It has a great double page spread on the shuttle with some nice cutaways and interior details. Would certainly help with scaling a UCS.moc. All the very best with this project. Really looking forward to following your progress. First thing I thought of when I came out of my first viewing yesterday was "Wow, Lego have to make that officially at some point... hmm, it'd be a big old set though..." Without being too spoilery, it's not exactly a mere background "blink and you'll miss it" ship.

Review | LEGO 75168 Star Wars ● YODA'S JEDI STARFIGHTER
I like this set considerably more than I thought I would after watching the review. Also, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Brick Ministry for his fantastic early coverage of these new sets. They've certainly helped to direct my purchases. I watch his videos at half speed to enjoy the builds and spot any sections that could have a quick mod. The music takes on a very soothing quality too! Thanks BM!

[MOC] Small-scale Starkiller Base Turret Inspection
Hi, First off, I'm no photographer, just got lucky with sunlight, a sheet of A4 and windowsill placement but this turned out quite nice so thought it was worth sharing. Space is limited for me but really wanted to display the new minifigs so tried to envision a little scene of General Hux inspecting a new defensive turret placed in the snow just above the main trench. I can't recall what the turrets actually looked like in the movie, so the cannon is very much non-canon but it's nice and beefy now. The turret itself is made from the base that comes with the First Order battle pack, but the business end was pretty much just a few bits and pieces from the Death Star Trooper battle pack - only added two extra black 2 x 2 tiles and a couple of grilles as that's all that was available to hand. It rotates and can move up and down. The two long grey tiles leading to the turret are there to indicate a power line. Also reappropriated the Death Star Troopers printed trousers for the First Order here. They work really well! Thanks for looking.

Video: Resistance Troop Transporter Reivew (Princess Leia)
Thanks for posting this great vid and thanks to the young reviewer for demonstrating a hitherto unknown feature even though the "real" craft is known to be a modular design. Quite a few Lego sets waste space for minifigs, so assumed this was the case and I planned to spend some time opening up the areas where the black roof hinge was but now it all makes sense! It needs to be robust to support this modular connectivity. This is easily my favourite TFA set. You get a nice movie accurate bulky transport but with the simplest of operations, you can have a good looking fighter ( a C-wing? ) that is the very definition of used universe and have the transport module on land as a temporary base of operations at the same time. Again, a very slight spoiler from the Incredible Cross-Sections book... which only has twelve craft but can be picked up cheaply ( and is worth it IMO )...

Star Wars sets anyone?
The Resistance Troop Transporter is up now too @ £59.99. The brick count doesn't look too high for this set but there's some bigger parts in there, the minifig selection is okay, you're getting Ackbar and Leia, but given Takodana's price point, I thought the official Lego price would have been 69.99 for an actual ship relative to the mark up on some walls, door and a strip of bacon! All about the minifigs as always. http://shop.lego.com/en-GB/Resistance-Troop-Transporter-75140?fromListing=listing

[MOD] First Order Transporter
Great mod, really tempting to pick up a FO Transporter and try this modification, looks so much better than the chibi-like original. There's a nice cross-section of this vehicle in the new TFA Cross Sections book. Very, very mild potential spoiler:

[REVIEW] 75133 Rebel Alliance Battle Pack
Definitely picking this pack up, some nice parts and I think the Duros head will look super-cool in one of the new Resistance troops yellow visored helmet.

[MOD/MOC] Middle-earth 16x16
Thank you so much for sharing. These are absolutely fantastic. The official "Council of Elrond" was a great gateway set for me also. I enlarged it a bit, got rid of the play feature and added more minifigs and it's now on display on the front room bookcase. I'm a big fan of Tolkien, so even ended up getting machine printed custom figures which stand equal and in some cases, dare I say it, surpass a few official releases, but don't really have any display option. Definitely need to try something similar to these MOCs to give Glorfindel and others a little home outside of a poly grip bag. Really inspiring work!

Video: Resistance Troop Transporter Reivew (Princess Leia)
Hi, that's good news. It's a litle hard to tell from any angle how much space is available under the black bracketed sections. Brick Show put a review up of this set also now. I do like some of the little colour details. The canopy stickering seems to be two separate stickers for ease of application. I'm not sure whether to go with them or not. I've not seen the movie yet but I'm really curious if we get to see the pilot of this craft and whether or not he's a unique pilot style or just a slight variation of the "standard" yellow visor Resistance troop. If we don't see the pilot, I'm planning on using the pilot minifig from the 75050 B-Wing update ( who's modelled after someone who piloted a Gray Squadron Y-Wing I think. ). It's a happy coincidence that his burgundy helmet markings nicely match the burgundy markings beside the cockpit. Easily my favourite pilot figure and X-Wing flightsuits didn't change much it seems, so I can easily imagine these plucky characters in the more unfashionable craft didn't get much of an upgrade in the three decades.

Hello!
Hello everyone! New member, but a longtime lurker here. Felt this was as good a time as any to get properly involved. I'm an older chap but will have a bit more time in the next few months to hopefully contribute to the great wealth of discussion and information found on this excellent forum. I enjoy looking at all Lego themes but my purchases are usually limited to LOTR , Star Wars sets and DC minifigs. Although I like both major comic universes, the Marvel minifigs don't grab my attention as much. My wife collects the Minifigure blind bag series and recently Scooby-Doo ( after stopping smoking she replaced that addiction with a much healthier Lego one! ) so that's always an area of interest. Thanks for reading!

Video: Resistance Troop Transporter Reivew (Princess Leia)
Hi, First post from a long time lurker but it's quite interesting that you should say that. Spoiler Warning: this link will show you a picture from The Force Awakens Visual Dictionary. If you don't want to see what the "real" troop transporter ship looks like and some details of its origins, please don't click. http://imgur.com/Sc8ldTJ Thank you Zusammengebaut for the review. I'm a little disappointed in the canopy sticker but I think I'm still in for a purchase on this one.
