  1. I saw one (half empty) box In Tesco on my weekly visit. The following week, nothing.
  2. Did this for Series 20 and frankly I was disappointed with the response I got. (I thought it would be appreciated, but no one even seemed to notice haha) ...but here I am again. I have to do this to speed up my own process of breaking down boxes and having gone to so much effort it seems selfish not to share. Even if it only helps one of you find that fig you’re looking for on a shop shelf then it’s worth sharing. I’m in the UK and every box I received follows the same pattern. Thanks, Nath
  3. I work in payments, I have PP contacts and when this happened to me a while back I fixed it. It was quite a simple error that wasn’t difficult to address and completely unnecessary. No one should have to do this again going forward. A real pain for anyone to have to call in and auth again. Especially if you have an AMEX as LEGO don’t accept and PP do. My razor crests arrived the other day without issue having pre auth’d with PP a very long time ago.
  4. I’ve picked up two since launch @ £480 & £500. I think that says it all... Just sold mine for £500 and EBay is slowly starting to flood with them so the price is coming down and down. I hope the rumour is true because I’ve only sold my current one in order to pick up a couple of the remakes when released, I otherwise would’ve kept it. Fingers crossed!
  5. You’re welcome. I am VERY confident it will be. (May alter by region?) There are too many OBVIOUS patterns for it to be coincidental, and it matches exactly with what I had been told prior to purchase. Three knights in the middle column, three vikings along the front
  6. Birds eye view of the Series 20 Retail Box Distribution. Some VERY interesting placements...
  7. Didn't glue mine and constructed the 'stand' out of LEGO. The falcon REALLY lends itself to being mounted VERY easily.
  8. ..........do I swap out my 10179 for my 75192? I think so! ?
  9. Your first comment is fair in my opinion too, but quite an unquantifiable risk for them with hard numbers to the contrary, no matter what the sales figures for far smaller SW sets looks like at present. it's no coincidence that LEGO continue to chose to produce playsets. The ghostbusters HQ is a playset with a far lower price/piece. We all know both SW & (actual/adult)UCS sets cost considerably more. The Ghostbusters HQ was a relative bargain by comparison. Please share your source for the HQ's successful sales performance. The SSD did not sell well either, which is the next most appropriately comparable set.
  10. I agree it is just a matter of time before they start selling another 'UCS' MF. The sad truth is however that a new MF will be $650 minimum. They struggled to sell the MF the last time around because the price was so high. They sat around on shelves for a very long time. I'm not sure they will take the risk again. i do not believe LEGO will have the confidence to sell something at that price for many years to come yet. It will likely be far smaller. Those of you that think it will be as big and impressive as the original, but stronger, better made, AND have an interior etc, for the same price, are just dreaming haha
  11. yes you are. My posts are opinion, as are yours, his, and everyone else's. :) only haha thanks for your help
  12. Haha you selected three sets of your choosing and devided the number of pieces by the price. Congratulations. You're a smart one. No different to what I did, 20 posts ago. :) There is no factual reasoning in your posts. Just opinion.
  13. Yep, same as you and everyone else.
  14. There is a LOT of hope in here, and very little sense... It has to be £600+ in today's money, or the set will simply be a lot smaller and not UCS. You only have to look at the current price per piece (consider the price per piece of existing MF sets and the thought of one for £500/$500 is hysterical) to work that out, and I'm in danger of repeating myself here but we in this room represent a HUGE proportion of the tiny amount of potential customers prepared to lay down such a colossal amount of money for a childrens plastic toy. It won't sell at that price in the numbers required to justify stocking it. Try and keep some perspective and seperate blind hope from logic.
  15. you're suggesting the price of the MF will not have risen(inline with all other LEGO) over the last 10yrs(specifically in the US? Haha)
  16. my chosen words/analogy does not change the facts I'm afraid. It was enormously discounted before it eventually sold out.
  17. The SSD is another example of a set that performed disappointingly for LEGO. 600 quid is $900 BTW A very modest 0.10ppp x 5k pieces is £500 and then some... A 5k piece MF will not be $500 Haha $500 yes, but it'll be considerably more than that now I am afraid. That's what is was sold for over 10yrs ago. You could sell it at £1000 and it would still sell to adults that missed out, in very, very limit numbers. Numbers that unfortunately can never sensibly justify the costs of reproducing it. It will never sell in the volumes required or at the price required and unfortunately LEGO know that. No matter how strongly some of us want it to happen doesn't mean it will. :( BTW I am not suggesting it will be £1000. Just a LOT more than $500
  18. Don't see it myself. I've said it before many times and I will continue to say it. The UCS MF didn't sell the first time. It was hanging around on the shelves for a long time before LEGO finally managed to shift them all. It was too expensive, at a price that now seems like a bargain. At today's LEGO prices it would be between 5-600 uk quid. Even with all the new hype, can LEGO ever have the confidence it will sell at that price sufficiently enough to justify development and production when they can infinitely churn them out at 1-200 quid all day long? What's been seen is more likely some sort of one off for a show/display or something. That I can believe... https://www.facebook.com/ThugLifeClips/videos/1300643799964580/ ...and let's be honest, the original is an awful build. It's pretty terrible. LEGO are more likely to come up with a complete new design then rehash an old set which isn't even that good. BUT the Ghostbusters HQ is pretty big, all be it without the additional SW price tag, so anything is possible. If they do release a UCS size MF in the next few years, I hope it's big enough to take the crown of 'the biggest set' I've always found it a little irritating that it is the 2nd biggest.
