The red one's probably gonna be torn down and rebuilt to work with BuWizz and planetary hubs, so this is likely its swan song. -

Otherwise, as Johnny1360 said, you're probably better off connecting the servo motor to a linkage built with liftarms and/or towball arms. You can see something like this, albeit without the servo, in 42068.

It's intended for 81x35 tractor tyres.

This is a fully remote-controlled tow truck. I used the RC distribution gearbox from my cherry picker so I could get eight RC functions out of three motors. The functions work in more-or-less logical pairs: drive & steering, crane lift & extension, crane winch & rear outriggers, tow fork lowering & unfolding. The model isn't based on any real vehicle - it's more of a random take on 42008. The cab is a lazy jumble of 42098, 42112 and some weird insect. Thanks Ha ha, yeah, my trucks do tend to all look alike, although the lime one is actually quite larger and heavier on toddler-enrapturing features.

It's got manual drive & steering, an inline-4 (in the cabin ), opening doors and eight two-way motorised functions driven through two gearboxes (one with six functions in the carrier and one with two functions in the crane) by 1 M motor. You can see some WIP pics from a previous version (the mechanics have always stayed more or less the same) here.

The upcoming 42144 set looks like a pretty easy one to upgrade and make more playable. Looking at the carrier alone, these mods come to mind: - 4-wheel steering - tighter steering angle - superstructure-routed HOG - modular outriggers (may already be stock - can't really tell) - drive with differential & fake engine - linked outriggers I've more or less figured out the first four, based on what little I could glean from this pic - so it's very likely I screwed up all the proportions To be fair, the steering angle shown above is actually too tight - some Ackermann would be needed to cut tyre scrub.
