both Martini and Gulf oil livery are licensed too. There would have to be another license. 1) I seriously doubt Lego would use alcohol license - so Martini is out 2) Gulf oil colours are copyright protected and you can use them for your racing car either if Gulf oil sponsors your racing team, or if you pay to Gulf oil (or whoever owns the rights now) neither colours are anyhow Porsche's colours. Lots of famous Porsche racing cars "sports" these colours, but these colours are not Porsche's colours. Lancia used Martini, Williams F1 used Martini, Ford used Gulf oil etc.

OR? Will it be either/or? so my wish for choice of colours will actually happen?

more I am looking at it, better the pictures get, more doubts I have. At front, there are quite a big gaps between panels. MOC 911 (I dunno who built it) that was presented here was more shaped. I am afraid, black is chosen for presentation to cover this. Suspension looks to me exactly the same as 24H race car which costs fraction of the price. Rumours about RC are gone, it seems no powerfunction. Where is 300Eur in it?

there are 4 basic factory colours options for real one (unless you want to have custom made one - which is also an option for Porsche). I hope there might be 4 Lego colour options. Simply one or two bags in the box will be different colours according to which one you bought, rest of the parts/bags will be the same. It is not impossible. body colour would be marked on the box. Since there are rumours that Porsche will be available only via official Lego shop, I can't see why that could not be done. (if reviews convince me it is worth 300eur and it is available in purple I will get one - so far I am "out") Purple on sports car is badass and bonkers. Bonkers is good. White or black is boring. Boring is bad.

This way (like at 42042 A model) is much better for playability - especially for kids, which should be still main focus of Lego designers.

The door mechanism is brilliant. Wow.

metal axles is highway to hell. Just imagine how long would plastic part that holds metal axle last if such and axle would start rotate in it? Solution, either come up with some completely different material for plastic part (there are plastics that would last - but ABS is not one of them). or come up with bushings, bearing, greasing and killing Lego for what it is.

I am afraid B instructions will be only pdf. (I really hate this policy - I do not like building from screen - I do not want to (but I have to) always get it printed and sealed into booklet)

tunnel boring machine? :-) (I do not find that boring, but exciting) with buckets going around horizontal axis, with super slow crawling body behind that does not exceed front boring face at all so the tunnel stays round. I will build that one too.

Wow. Guys, I admire you. Please do not upload complete instructions before Lego will. (They might get cross) :-)

I agree that BWE is big step for Lego. There might be even quite a lot of customers who do not exactly know what it is. (without being mean even here folks refer it as addition to their construction site collection - it is mining, not construction machine. Nobody builds anything with BWE, nobody digs tunnels, do roadbuilding earthmoving with BWE). But it is excellent starting set. For amount of parts at very interesting price. Maybe it will be dead end for Lego, but it might be also new door to lots of previously unheard of stuff. Hats off to Lego for trying new roads. Without trying new things, you never get anywhere. Lego can't rely always on (no matter how good) mobile crane MKIV,V,VI,...XII etc.

after few days from toy fair photos...(to copy Ondra :-) ) (I admit my opinions might be in opposite to what I wrote before - real up and down for me) Volvo - it will sell like cupcakes. Great set for good price. Since I find real Volvo not exactly pretty, same goes for Lego version. I do not like "cage" cabin. But overall I like it. It grew on me. Xerion - I would welcome non-motorized version with steering that allows to turn even if you do not have big house. I would welcome agricultural attachment (seeding machine droping 1x1 bricks, or plough, fertilizer, something like that - but still I will get this one, because it is pretty and I will "fix" it myself. BWE - I am biased here since I like mining. It could have been prettier (central structure would benefit from more shaping - like Sandvik BWE). But it is badass bonkers set. B-model is cool too. Winner for me. Porsche - price is the killer for me. I like it, I am sure it has lots of clever features, but still, it is only car. Lots depends on colour of the body for me. I am not interested if it is RC, without it is better for me. Lego RC car is never match for dedicated RC car. RC Lego is "crying on the wrong grave" for me. disclaimer: all is just IMO.

Are you seriously buying 2 sets? Isn't dismantling and building again point of Lego? I do it again, and again, meanwhile build fantasy MOC etc. I harldy ever keep models on the shelf for long. My temptation of building does not guarantee them long "life". :-) B model is amazing. Absolutely amazing. I am so happy Lego is not stuck with construction vehicles. This break into mining/industrial open lots of new doors. I am very happy. I would love to see more industrial inspired Technic - even stationary - like assembly line, steelwork, factories. (build it from Technic, put normal bricks in on 1 side, lego city car is finished on the other side - licensed by Toyota)

Gulf oil colours are great. Everything looks better in Gulf oil colours. Fact. :-) But thing to consider is that it is copyrighted colour scheme - property of gulf or whoever owns it - there would have to be another license.
