  1. Some kind of Mindstorms/Raspberry Pi integration would be neat. Something that promotes coding perhaps?
  2. Forgive me if this has been said before but if I, a 6ft human, stand in a doorway the top of my head is a few inches away from the top of the doorframe. If I were to scale myself to the size of a minidoll there would be a similar amount of space between me and the top of a 60596 doorframe; whereas if I was scaled to a minifigure there is a much greater, unrealistic height. I use this comparison to say that any WIP building I make would have better, more realistic proportions and look visually more appealing if I build at minidoll scale. I rarely create MOCs that aren't going to look visually comparable to objects, buildings, ect. in real life which is why minidolls help me scale things down a lot easier. This is just my opinion because I have a particular reason why I prefer minidolls and doesn't mean I don't enjoy minifigures; minidolls just suit my needs better. That's why I think Lego would be better to continue minidoll scaled creations into the future because buildings would look more realistic.
  3. I got around 1200 LBG 1x1 round tiles in the Leicester Square store the other day. I now own about 3000 of them, which is nice.
  4. Perfect use of diamonds as water in the bath. Really cool build all round.

Set 1796 'Freestyle Bucket' was my first. I must have received it when I was 3 or 4 one Christmas and I have a few candid photographs from the day. Unlike most I never had a 'dark-age' and now, 16 years on, the very same Freestyle Bucket is currently sitting in my Brickcave next to my desk.
  6. I never had a 'dark age' simply because I've always had encouragement from my family and the friends I keep. Plus I have invested far too much of my 20 years into becoming an expert MOCer to think about quitting.
  7. I get the impression that every cashier is confused when I, a smiley long-haired 20 year old child, come bounding up to the register with a box in one hand and naivety in the other. I'm a happy chap when I'm with or around Lego but I can acknowledge just how odd it must seem to an 'outsider'. I'm honest about my hobby if people are curious but otherwise; yes, I do get embarrassed when people comment on my obsession.

Hello fellow builders As I write this it is currently 02:30 on a Sunday morning and I have been spending the last seven hours MOCing a pirate ship only to have it flop over and crumble in my hands. It seems inevitable that I need to develop my building abilities or risk remaining stuck in this rut of assorted pieces and the looming presence of the alcohol left over from Christmas. If any of you want to size my building pedigree I would suggest visiting rdflego.tumblr.com but, for now, I am going to hunt around this forum and find the structural technique I so desperately need. Thank you for having me rdflego
