  1. @kbalage with this Ford GT set, there is the answer, why the color of the 42126 Ford Raptor was changed in the develpoment process to orange, intsead of the blue prototype :)
  2. I really like this set, - based only on this photos, I will wait with my end verdict the release - maybe because I'm not a huge fan of the original car. I liked the 2006 GT version that was for me unique, but the after 2016 version GT is for me too common, just an another supercar from this area. This Lego version reminds me about the Ford GT40 Mk IV trough the headlamp pieces, and the overall shape of the front reminds me a bit about the Ford GT90 also. If I'm 100% honest, I like this iteration more like the orginal vehicle, but that obviously not denies your concerns :) As I see, the main difference with the blue picture is the height, and this is the 1 stud what we like to see avoided by the gap between wheels and fenders, and also from under to have ground clearance after all. The length difference is in this profile is there, but from another angles maybe this is the best compromise (I like very well the headlamps, as I said). Maybe in Mods and improvements topic we will se a better iteration after release :) That would be awesome! And then everyones wish fulfilled :)
  3. I made a fast size comparison, I don't know that, if the suspesion has any suspension travel limiter, but nowdays I remember only in Defender about suspension travel limiter (but there was also Milan the designer), all other supercars (based on my knowledge) have sadly only the ground as limiter. So the first suspension is ca. 1-1,1 stud (marked with yellow) travel (the gap between the tyre and the fender is in hight is ca. equals to the height of the pin in the background) the nose section is a bit closer to the ground, but if the rear suspension is comperessed it could be 1 stud. The rear suspension travel is ca. 1,5-1,75 stud (marked with red), but there the rear bumper section have parts lower than that, so there is the limit by ca. 1,25 stud. So, basically this version is made with the 1 stud travel, only in the rear the gap between the wheel and the fender could be smaller.
  4. I understand your concern about the look of licenced lego technic sets general, but in this case I think this comparison is not fair, due to the fact the Ford GT has an adjustable suspension, and yout photo is in "race" mode, so it's dropped 50mm (!). In the normal ride height it is closer to the technic version, but I agree, still not perfect. I have seen no clue about this feature in the set btw.
  5. If I see correct, this are the classic cylinder block bricks in transparent
  6. I think, the only thing, what we have not seen yet in the technic super car lineup (in official lego set) is a proper convertible soft top with textil on it. It would be the only thing, what's from combustion engine area not made yet. Yes, we had the 8448, but that was only the sturcture of the mechanism. I agree a new modell with an another fake engine and an another transmission with some new paneling is no more a technical highligt. That was enough in 2018, but I think it's not more in 2022, the automotive industry is now on emobility. Or maybe TLG suspension system or brake system can have some opportunity to evolve. Maybe we get a bus/truck with air suspension. Who knows?
  7. the engine cover also lamborghini branded, but for me looks like stickrs there
  8. for me seems the outside elements and calipers are printed (maybe the dashboard too), but the engine cover seems me stickres
  9. I think at 1st May will be the press release, because on hungarian offical Lego Store homepage is a pre-order opportunity, and this page says: it will be available for purchase at Lego Stores, in limited number from 1st June of 2018. Online pre-order option is available until 27th May or until stock last. So I think 1st June is the VIP release day. link
