  1. I like it, but am slightly disappointed in the Lazarus Pit itself. I think it's a great, small set for what will probably be $40. In sick of vehicle centric sets. Buggy aside, it still looks legit.
  2. I love the Ras fig. Can't wait to see Talia.
  3. The Space Slug set is going so high on eBay now. Part of me wants to hold onto it, part of me wants to sell it and go get Assault on Hoth... Any word on the availability of this set? On eBay, a list says only 3500 were made but who knows if that's accurate. My friend at the store said that they were only keeping the sets for that hour event, and after the doors open to customers they are taking their remaining stock and shipping them back. Kind of makes me wonder what will happen in the long run on the aftermarket...
  4. I was just about to post this: http://imgur.com/8oiawdT http://imgur.com/GjAGABb Sorry for not posting it earlier, I cropped out my store address. I just don't want to get my pals in trouble.
  5. I'm on the West Coast in the US, but the last time I got an invitation like this it was for a double VIP point and Gingerbread House event for the Holidays. The store opens an hour early for VIPs with those invitations. This is plastered with May the 4th branding (oddly) and the invitation also mentions the Stormtrooper minifig promotion. Release party was probably a poor choice of words.
  6. A free set and poster with purchases of $150 or more while supplies last The poster is awesome as well. It's very simple and elegant in design, not a typical Lego poster.
  7. The pictures were employees only, from a manual that seemed to be printed and stapled for the whole event. Only two pictures, one of the box and one of the set. I think it said 160 pieces? It's small. The Falcon in the set looks similar to the Advent Calendar one, to give you an idea of scale. I would take a picture but it has the store info on it.
  8. Just got an invitation to a Hoth Base release party at my local store. My buddy showed me pictures of the exclusive set and poster they're giving away to people who spend $150 or more. EXOGORTH. WE ARE GETTING A MINI SPACE SLUG!
  9. I was content to sit that one out, but after getting the Silver centurion I took the plunge. The Iron Skull minifig is pretty good, the build of the sub is decent. The teeth up front are fun to construct, but it doesn't make sense for a sub to have a tiny cockpit and a big compartment for prisoners. But I like it alright.
  10. Holy jeez, that's awesome! ...wanna trade for a Silver Centurion? :p just kidding not trying to break rules
  11. My god, man, this is a great mod. Like poster above said, I appreciate the build more after getting it but this is MUCH cooler
  12. I am guilty of that as well, haha. I modify nearly every Robin, change plastic man's hair, and even made a Wonder Girl from WW torso, red legs, and Friends hair. If I changed it from blonde to black, it'd go from a decent N52 Wonder Girl to a great Classic Donna Troy, but I need that star design for my girl Donna if I'm gonna MOC her I wonder how much it would cost to BrinkLink all of the 67 minifigs...
  13. Yeah, I actually got my first one at a different GameStop and only got more because my Lego Store pal missed out. He hooks me up all the time, only fair to do the same. It's one of those times where you don't want to get away from the Sprawl /arcadefirereference
  14. I don't really mind the different "universes"/versions of characters, because honestly some character designs are better than others. Finally buckled and bought the Bat Cave (or should I have said "caved in"?) I have only built the first three sets of bags but I really love this set. At first I was on the fence due to the nature of these separate components hooking together, but I honestly think it works after getting the Study and Firepolls section done. Plus I finally have Bruce and Alfred minifigs (and Grayson!) although I do wish these characters resembled their comic book parts, but I enjoyed the 66 version when I was a kid so I'm not too disappointed. My minifig collection is nearly complete (in my eyes). Just need those Croc and Scarecrow figs!
  15. Exactly. They had a box of about 15-20 left, as well as some Mad Max hot wheels cars (got 2 of those). I think it's because the area I work in has two GameStops right next to each other; in a mall and a stand alone. I'm trading it to my boss, the comic book shop I work at on Wednesdays. I don't mind because we help each other out all the time. He sold me a Temple of Doom set brand new. The box was open, all bags were sealed. Got it insanely cheap, as well as Raiders opening scene and the Wolverine Chopper Showdown with Deadpool at crazy low rates. He deserves the Centurion in my eyes! Also giving another to my friend at the Lego Store because he's awesome and missed out, too. Edit: sorry, don't want to give my exact location away, I have employee friends I don't want to get in trouble (probably just me being paranoid) but I live in a suburban sprawl surrounding a major city. There are TONS of GameStops here.
