  1. This thing turned out awesome! Another "must build" for my MOC list. By the time I get around to it, hopefully those curved panels will be released in a few more colors. This thing in black with the gold wheels and stickers would look wicked!
  2. Purple with silver stripes... Mmmmm:)
  3. Once I have enough forum experience to send a private message, I'll hit you up for that McLaren CAD. The F1 is hands down my favorite car of all time so I HAVE to build it!
  4. Good to hear instructions are still moving along. Were instructions for pvdb's McLaren F1 ever finished? I'd love to get my hands on that one as well.
  5. PLEASE do so! Would love an option with a V6/V8 and a 5/6 speed gearbox w/reverse
  6. To the top of my build list! This and pvd's One:1 are the two best supercar MOCs in my book. Any chance of a "B" model with no PF that has a gearbox and engine? I like my LEGOS more as mechanical exercises than RC toys...
  7. Thanks guys for all the insights! I just snagged a good deal on a used 42009. I updated my first post. I have six sets and 10,000+ pieces to start tinkering with. I can foresee not using a whole lot of the parts, but that's fine with me since four of the sets are current/retired halo sets. Can never have enough "classic" sets;) Anyway, looks like bricklink for the foreseeable future until that fancy new Porsche comes out. Thanks again. I probably would have kept making silly offers on eBay and slowly collecting undesirable sets for no reason. It'll be a lot easier to slip parts by the wife when they don't come in gigantic boxes I can barely fit thru the front door:p
  8. I've been spying 42009 sets on eBay but I've yet to be able to get one for what I deem a "deal". I'm sure there's a ton of gears and such that I'll need down the road, it's just a bad time to try and get a deal on one since prices are going up. Missed the cheap sets by a couple months it appears.
  9. As the title says, I'm 34 and emerging from life without LEGOS for about 20 years now. I'm extremely inspired by a lot of the MOCs out there and I'm wanting to build up a solid Technic brick collection over the next few months so I can duplicate/build some myself. I've recently snagged the following sets: 2x 8110 1x 42043 1x 42038 1x 9392 1x 42009 I want orange/white/black/gray pieces mostly at this point so I can mod a Mog extensively. Any suggestions on great price per piece Technic sets to keep an eye on? Not interested in power functions just yet. I want to get my technique ironed out before I go blowing up gear boxes
  10. Sign me up for a set of instructions! Beautiful work on one of my favorite all time cars, sir;)
  11. I've been a long term lurker and admirer of MANY awesome MOCs on this site for quite a while, but this one finally made me post;) I'm a Porsche 911 and Audi R8 fanatic! I'm extremely excited about the upcoming 911 release from LEGO and I've about pulled the trigger on Crowkillers 911, but there hasn't been anything exceptional in regards to the R8. Congrats! This thing is awesome! I like the spring doors with the locks, moveable spoiler, etc. I won't take offense to you stealing some poor Mini owner's dinner;) Any chance of you cranking out some instructions for this MOC? I have a small stash of instructions saved for future builds and would definitely add this one to my stack!
