  1. Err.... Dr S.... Isn't it time for the vote? Smarty pants! :-P

Indeed. *wub* Tableton is one of the best. Have you seen his cool video? :-P Surprisingly, I am Sinner on Brickshelf. ;-) That's from a few months ago, so it has changed a bit. (The Town House is currently a space craft! :-D ) It's quite lame compared to many others. :-$ Hinckley's is pretty cool. *wub*

Welcome to Eurobricks! Confusing members aside, you WILL* like it here. (*"Will" is not used in a literal sense. Your results may vary.) Speak for yourself. :-P It's a cold day in hell when I need tech help. People used to come to me for tech help... until I bought a "No, I will not fix your computer" mug. No one has asked me since. :-D
  4. Welcome to Eurobricks! *sweet* Which one?
  5. Welcome to Eurobricks. *sweet* It's good to hear that someone sees Ferrari sets as their favourite theme as it doesn't seem to be going away.... :-/

I'm pretty sure it is. As I said before, it looks like a coaster. Perhaps they can use it for cola instead....

Are you aware that the Holiday train is trackless? Eitherway, you will need some more houses; the Town House set is a great deal if you want more roof pieces. I also reccomend the Harbour set. But it really depends on what you like as Sinnerton reflects my interests, and what I like may not be what you like. My town is limited by the fact that I insist on having a harbour and a train in a small (about 1x2 meters) layout leaving me with little room for anything else. *wacko* If you are prepeared to leave yours on the floor like many then you can be more flexible. I suggest you browse though Brickshelf and decide what you think works.

Well you will just have to wait then! :-D

I meant an interior from front to back.... kind of like the Bison from Captain Scarlet... ...or even this one. :-$ While on the subject of Armageddon, here is a cute copy of the Armadillo. *wub*

I want to give mine an interior... but it would be piece demanding so I'm not sure if I can.
  11. No, but a friend of mine does and I am hoping to buy it off him...
  12. To answer your question, I think sets like the Heavy Hauler and the Passenger Plane have a limited future, especially with AFOLs. I bought both, but I can't justify buying many others (if any) like them. (Making the Heavy Hauler in green sold it for me, so depending on price I could be just as won over with next years plane. :-$ ) However, I don't think that Lego have made many pieces bigger than they used to, just the scale has changed. Aside from the trays, the Heavy Hauler has great and useful pieces, and with the plane it's just the nose, tail and wings. I do however think that Lego are more happy now to include bigger limited production pieces that make a set look more impressive at less cost. Aside from your examples, the bridge piece in 7900 and Sentai is a good example. Overall I don't think bigger is always better, and I think Lego is just trying to make sets more appealing to children and parents. I have no problem with Lego continuing down this path... but I hope it doesn't go much further. While I agree with your first two examples, I think you are off base with the Armored Drilling Unit (7699). The 1990... ...version was much the same, and space generally did have big pieces in it.
  13. I think that looks a lot better. *sweet* There was too much of a gap last time. Now that your defensive force is complete do you plan on making a story with them?
  14. Siegfried replied to ExoBuilder's post in a topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Great mod; you should re-name it Hedgehog! :-D Where did you get all those fins? 8-
  15. Happy Birthday! *sweet* So, whatcha get? :-P
  16. :'-( I just sent a exchange request to Lego. This has been a bad order for me; I wait all year for the 7699 MT-101 Armored Drilling Unit to arrive in my local stores, give up a few weeks ago and decide to buy it on-line, and then it turns up the next day for far less money! Now the 10173 Holiday Train, which I added largely just to make the postage worthwhile, has gone half price. :-| I think the world hates me. To make it worse the order still hasn't arrived so I am left with a large case of buyers remorse without even having the Lego to enjoy....
  17. Ya know... I didn't think of that... :-$
  18. *wub* Thanks for another great review. *sweet* I am also glad that it is a very different alien fighter design as I already have three varients of the old type! The fighter transforms better than I thought it would; I was expecting just the wings. I should be buying this set as well... Well, since anti-grav doesn't exist, and will never exist, there has to be another option! Looking at it in tank mode it does have a vague aerofoil shape so I think it should be able to work as a lifting body. All it needs to do then is move fast enough to start taking off and then it can extend the wings... 8-|
  19. Another! When will this stockpiling stop?! :-P I prefer this to your last one, but your tank is still the best! (I'm not a big fan of the front how it stands proud of the front...)
  20. Thanks for the review! *sweet* Aside from the fact that I like the model, this set has a few new and useful pieces so I will have to get it! *wub*
  21. Welcome to Eurobricks! *sweet* We have had a lot of Mech fans join lately.

A decent picture of one or both would help a tad.

:-D I would like to claim that I did it on purpose, but that would be a lie! Can I have half points anyway?

Ahhh, I didn't notice that. The typeface matches too; Aren't they bankrupt?
