  1. Welcome to Eurobricks. The home of Lego love. *wub* Well you seem to have taken same angle as I did; make a post so long that there are no questions to ask! However, after much thought, I have one question to ask that you missed; how old are you? I assume you are 29, am I close? :-P Oh, how I drooled over that set. Never got it though. :-(

Don't we all?! *wub* Welcome to Eurobricks.
  3. Well in Germany the MTT is 130 Euros, and we (I am Australian) are charged $180 AUD, thus it could be about $200 AUD.... but it generally isn't that simple. Some sets are a bargain, and others are a rip-off. The Hyperspace ring, for example, is a rip-off.

Well I am the one who stupidly mentioned nudity... :-$
  5. I agree completely with Sir Dillon and Starwars4Js discussion above. The simple truth with beliefs is that there is no right or wrong. But facts are another matter and most beliefs can't be proved or dis-proved.

So when you were a baby everyone just shut their eyes? There is no logical reason that being naked is indecent, the only reasons that I can think of are that many religious books demand it. ...Time passes... I was going to go on about how in-consistant and illogical the Bible is (for example if Adam and Eve started it all, then their kids must of boffed each other; ickie!), but I thought better of it as there is no point and it will simply cause trouble. Feel free to believe that being naked is indecent. But please refrain from calling people liars. I, and many others, find that extreamly offensive. (Not to mention confusing; I thought you liked Disneyland and Star Wars. Are you aware that they aren't real?)
  7. Well that is a darn good excuse! :-D Congrats! Lego women are great, but they don't compare to the real thing.

There is nothing degrading about being naked. You are entitled to your opinion, but I can't say that I agree at all. The definition of lying is generally seen as being decietful or un-true. Since everyone knows that actors are acting there is no decieit.

It is very hard to avoid. Even in movies actors often need to be naked for various reasons. It really isn't that big a deal. People go to the beach 95% naked, and you can guess the last 5% anyway... Darn. I have never had that, but I did have worse. One show I did we had one person turn up, and he left half way though! (Oddly all the other shows were packed; it was the first performance so it could have just been that the advertising was not out yet.) I will try to do the same, but mine are fifteen years ago!

Don't knock it until you try it. Honest. Indeed you should. If you aren't prepared to be seen naked you have zero chance of becoming a successful actor.

You're right; that part was a laugh! The stage hands all rugged up in dark clothing, me in nothing trying to act casual...

Nope. I was wearing nothing. Honestly, I was playing a just a streaker. I also played someone who came on wearing a specially knitted form fitting sock that was not meant to wear on my feet. It was one of those university/college things. Three weeks of it; we even toured! It is the only show I did that my Mum refused to go to; no idea why, it's not like she hadn't seen it before!
  13. I love it. *wub* It is just what I wanted. Additionally, I don't have a good Luke (or a AT-AT) yet so it is all good for me. I did buy 2 of the Dark Side development kits (100 USD retail, I paid 20 AUD for them!) but they were too spindly for my liking. (The micro scout sux too.) This looks like a beefed up version of that. All I have to do now is wait for the Australian price... I strongly doubt that it is only $50 USD. That is the price of the Hyperspace ring and that has only two figures and no motors. I would guess at least $75, if not $100, but I hope I am wrong.

Yes. The worst part is waiting in the wings for your cue trying to act like you aren't doing anything unusual.
  15. Hi!

Welcome to Eurobricks. Welcome to our community here!

Thanks very much for that review. I downloaded the instructions last week and I was largely impressed with what was in it. However, like Holodoc, I am waiting for the Bulldozer. I might have to settle with the dino though if Lego charge Australian some absurd price... EDIT: I just watched the videos. Thanks! They are great. The dino is better than I thought...
  17. MOC like Sock, and I tend to actually say "Adult Fan of LEGO". Remember though that while I have freinds who buy Lego, they are Star Wars fans who like Lego, when I am a Lego fan who like Star Wars. Thus we don't talk about Lego, or MOCs that much. It is my wife who bears the brunt of that...
  18. You've been there too eh? Bit cold but it sure killed some time over the weekend.
  19. Siegfried replied to The Middleman's post in a topic in Community
Thanks for posting those. In my youth I did a lot of theatre but the only way I was paid was with free grog! The last time I was on stage I was naked playing a streaker. (Sorry, no photos!)
  20. I picked Imperial Trading Post, but it was close.
  21. I *wub* the entry by *vader*. That is one excellent rancor. I would make an entry but I don't have any gungans. I do plan to buy at least one though so I can roll my MTT over it.
  22. Nah, I wouldn't worry about that; my biggest sin is Envy.... of people with more Lego than me!
  23. True, but that would leave it with only me knowing for sure what I meant. Now we all know what I meant... I think. Incidentally, back on topic. I agree with the idea of why you think this is a good idea (that is to get to know people better), but I am just not convinced it would work well. All you need is one trouble maker to say the wrong thing and... However, it is obviously not my decision; who does decide these things? Yay! I'm home at last! :-D
  24. Just to clarify, no I was not being mean or sarcastic. I was just being silly. *wacko* Even so, sorry if I annoyed you. After hinckley39s comment it seemed appropiate, but maybe it wasn't considering the topic.
  25. Yes, at last it has become clear to you. This entire universe was created, just for your amusment, just so you could grow to be the person you are today. Now you have seen though this, it is time for you to leave the cradle, and ascend to take you place with the others. My purpose is now complete and I face the void willingly as I know I have helped to create a perfect being.
