  1. That is a must buy. I look forward to a better photo. Thanks. They, as well as the new mars sets aren't in my area either. I did find, and buy, the harbour last week so I can't complain.
  2. Australia, Germany and UK (not sure where else) Ferrari 248 F1 Team Item #: 8144 Was AUD 119.99, now AUD 59.99 Was GBP 49.99, now GBP 24.99 EUR 69.99, now EUR 34.99 http://shop.lego.com/Product/?p=8144 Insane for a new set.

I love that set. Thanks very much for finding and posting it. I haven't seen any picture of this since the toy fair. It reminds me of the early Model Team sets in that is looks bigger than it is. I am dying to find out the Australian price. Going by the Euro price it could be under $50. Excellent....

Cool! I noticed your avatar in a few of the photos. I hope his train comes soon.

Maybe we can all move to Victoria together! I am targeting two years. My daughter plays with Lego inconsistantly. She loves my new Cement Mixer, she liked the "Girls Fantasy Bucket" but she tends to go back to her dolls after a while. My son is little better; his main interest is making extreamly simple space ships and "mean guys" and then smashing them both up. Ah well. When is you due?

Ahh, I wanted that set so badly when I was a boy. I made one like it with what I had, but it wasn't the same. What was the imperial doing on the moon anyway? :-P
  7. My bad. :-$

Welcome to Eurobricks. I am from Tasmania. From what I know Melbourne is more the place to be. They even have Lego conventions! http://www.brickventures.com/index.html (There is one soon but the site is behind.) I am actually considering moving there! (Yes, I am serious.)

Welcome! I spent two weeks in Singapore as the ship I was on had engine problems. It is a very interesting place.
  10. A challenge indeed! Well, I will have to leave it up to you as I have re-built mine into something else that I actually like. Yes 7075 does. Both designs are for shorter (middle section removed) ships that are taller. Neither look any better. But I can't find any pictures and my boxes are archived in a hard to find place. Nope, I didn't get the concept. I do now. Sorry for being a dolt.
  11. Looking at the pictures (and comparing it to the 7905 Tower crane that I have myself) it is bigger than I thought. It is a shame that I probably will never see this set in person.

I have an excess of female hair (not sixty though) so what I plan to do is try female hair with all my heads and see what ones make acceptible females... ...and hopefully they won't look like they are in drag... or worse.
  13. Fair point. Sounds like my old Gemini.

Have kids. You will never be bored again. You will learn to savour the times that you have absolutely nothing to do!

Strewth : exclamation, mild oath ("Strewth, that Chris is a bonzer bloke") http://www.koalanet.com.au/australian-slang.html (I am in the habit of using low level swear words as I have kids. I find it funny as well.)
  16. Thanks DJ. That Hailfire droid is looking good...
  17. While I bought it, I saw it as a "fixer-upper". I have been annoyed at how hard the big brown piece and the black side pieces are to re-use. To make something with just that set would be frustrating.
  18. Yes! The airships would make great sets, but I can't see it happening as they are all too big.
  19. U da man! (Yes we are interested.)

I hope this isn't an indication of the interaction that will go on when Lego Universe starts...

Wow! OMG! Strewth! What more can I say!
  22. Wow! That is nice. Shame about the $50.00 BrickLink price, but hopefully it will be in a new set soon. (The sandcrawler is too expensive for Australians.)
  23. 7075 is the only pirate set that I have! I wouldn't want to try an make a MOC using just those parts though...
