Probably, but I still am curious. Do you have any pictures?
  2. Welcome to the happy place that is Eurobricks. I like the Delorean as well. I might actually borrow part of that design; I have been considering making a 6-wide Delorean on train wheels for a while and yours is about the right size...
  3. Indeed. Personally I have always been more impressed with his Bucketwheel MOCs. Large and accurate. I suspect he is involved in mining... and if he isn't he probably should be!

But (while more likely) this interpretation isn't as funny and it leave me with no chance to recieve free Lego from EB members.
  5. I really want this set. The colours (IMHO) are way more usefull than the 4956 house, even though I am considering buying that as well... I love the new third design. I hope there are instructions for all three, and going by 4953 and 4939 there probably will be. On the subject of the new Creator sets, I have been surprised at the absence of ideas. I was reading a the blog of the guy who designed the Fast Flyers set... http://sideshowjamie.livejournal.com/12065.html ...and he says that there was supposed to be "INSPIRATION" pictures for a "Speedboat" and a "Space Shuttle". I bought that set, and there were no idea pictures at all. Anyone know why Lego decided to skip them? Anyone besides me miss them? I loved the ideas in the previous sets.

Enjoy your stay. I lurked for years before I decided to join. I wonder how many other lurkers there are out there. Yes, I am talking to you. No, not him, you! Join now!

I propose a meeting at my house, next weekend. (Not this weekend, too late notice.) All attendees must bring me 1 (one) new Mars Mission or Castle set.

I think so. The old one is not suitible and you can't have Indy without a whip.
  9. I am from Australia. I am going out tomorrow and I will look out for this. "Dwarfs Mining" sounds great...

Welcome to Eurobricks. I like the engine; especially how it fits more than one figure. It looks realistic. I have to modify mine like that...

Welcome to Eurobricks. I have browsed your brickshelf folder before; I love your Harrier. (It is one of my favourite aircraft as well.) I think your work is quite good actually.

Errr... full price is 189 NZD so it seems you got them all on discount! Eitherway, I have only one (poor me) and it cost me full price at Toyworld (169.99 AUD). I love Silent Strike. I have modified mine to bulk up his waist and make the cockpit less jutting, but aside from further tweak plans I have zero intention of breaking him. The fortress is another matter. It is too big to keep together in my opinion, but you don't seem to think so! Thanks for sharing the photos and welcome the Eurobricks!

I agree. Gluing almost the whole thing is excessive. Providing the bottom doesn't come off it doesn't matter. While I bought my mainly as a chess set, I also wanted the ability to have extra men for temperary reasons, such as taking a photo. I am also considing swapping a few heads. If every figure is glued it makes it less flexible. It will be exclusive to S@H and Lego stores. I have never seen one anywhere else, but the Death Star is supposed to be exclusive and I have seen that in two stores in my area. I have the same problem with S@H shipping. What I do is wait until a sale so the postage is covered.

The only black guy in a set with a medical/prison truck that I recall is in Arkham asylum. I just flicked through my catalog collection and the NBA figs in 2003 (Australian catalogs and thus Australian dates) seem to be the first time they used black and flesh, then spiderman went peach/black in 2004 (4857 has a black ambulance driver), Harry Potter went flesh in 2004, and Star War converted in 2005. To my knowlege the only set with a black head and a yellow head is Cloud City. http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/10123-1 But I could be wrong...

That set is better than I thought. I just added it to my BrickLink wanted list thanks to you! (Thanks for the review just the same...)

Thanks legomilk! Excellent find! That looks great. I especially love the hat; that is going to be soooooo useful. (Unlike multiple batmans...) I am over the whole flesh tone thing. It used to bother me, but it doesn't anymore. I think Lego really had no choice once the started showing figures based on real people. If they didn't re-colour them then they are saying in effect that the yellow guys are white and thus Lego look racist. This way they can keep the yellow ones without offending anyone... at least that is how I see it.

Indeed. Thanks for finding this. The are still too low in details, but any improvement is welcome!

I think I know why they do it though; I have the Knights Kingdom chess set and I find the Queens will break almost every move due to 4 studs bottom, 2 studs middle. I have seriously considered gluing a few of my own. (Yes, I bought mine as a chess set!) On the other hand, if you have no intention of ever using as a actual chess set I can understand your annoyance; but is it really that good a deal for just the men at full price? What would you do with the board? (That is glued even on mine.)
  21. While there is room in my heart for both, I voted for the new style. The fact is that Cafe Corner is still too small to be realistic, but I feel that it is a better comprimise. (No I don't want Lego to release bigger buildings. The new onese are big enough.)

My first mention on the mainpage. *wub*

My pleasure. I just love how they keep saying "kids" in the press release. While I hope that this will appeal to all, I think it is the AFOL who want this the most. I hope you are right about the game. Ooops! I did. Thanks for picking up the pieces!

Welcome Henrik. Eurobricks is the best Lego forum and I am sure that you will (do?) love it here.
