Jurassic World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Popped into our local indie toy shop this morning and they had the whole lot on the shelves, came away with the Giganotosaurus set and a very happy 7 year old!

Jurassic World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
Any store can choose to break the release date embargo, the release date is the 16th as confirmed by the Lego press release which also confirmed the UK price (£114.99), I guess it may be in the official UK stores today, who knows?!

Jurassic World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
76949 (Giganotosaurus) hasn't appeared on the UK Lego shop@home today (it's not even 'coming soon', so weirdly the release date in the press release doesn't seem to be correct.

Jurassic World 2022 - Rumors & Discussion
My 7 year old has saved since Christmas for a few of the new JW sets but has decided to go with the Giganotosarus set now he's seen pictures. We called our local store (Bristol) who confirmed they had the new sets (but would not acknowledge Giganotosaurus, oddly) but as they were shut on release day, they would not sell them until Monday 18th. After a bit of digging, it seems it's actually out tomorrow (16th) at £114.99. Can anyone confirm? It's an hour drive but we don't want to do that for a set that as it stands, apparently doesn't officially exist! Very strange all round, 17th for most new sets, a day which pretty much every store in the UK is shut and no deliveries, and another set which may or may not be coming out but no official word on yet.

LEGO Ideas - Central Perk Coffee of Friends
So this has crashed the Lego site worldwide and sold out within hours. If the aggressive pricing was an experiment in a new pricing structure it seems to have worked quite nicely, impressive for a site with only exclusively adult appeal.

HIDDEN SIDE - 2019
I need to order the Friends set asap but I'm not going to risk ordering and not get the promo. I'm guessing they've put that banner up too early.

[PRESS RELEASE] 75936 - Jurassic Park
I wasn't expecting or anticipating a visitor centre, but it's fair to say I was hoping for a minifig scale Explorer, Jeep and a new Dino (sauropod?) mould. Or a large set containing all of the above in the existing minifigs scale. Or even a Creator Expert size Explorer or Jeep. It just seems like such an obvious win for Lego that for whatever reason has not happened. Me and my 4 year old son would move heaven and earth for a set containing any one of the above mentioned features. I don't think it would have been underwhelming as a D2C to have lots of relatively smaller elements to make one big expensive set, particularly as most are desperate for them. A couple of dinosaurs, minifigures, minifig scale Jeep and Explorer and then a smaller play feature would have ticked almost every box. As somebody has mentioned, it's like Ghostbusters sets without Ecto-1. Lego love a vehicle, the Avengers sets even have entirely made up one's!

Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
They had the full range of the new sets in the store at Legoland Windsor today. They all look great, my 4 year old son had his Christmas money and struggled to pick between the Triceratops, Baryonyx and Mech T-Rex.

Jurassic World 2019 - Rumours, Speculation & Discussion
As soon as my son see's that robot T-Rex his head is going to explode. It's bonkers but I'm sure it will be wildly popular.

The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion
Minifigure have been in our local toy store here in the UK for a few days now. My wife picked the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th as the store owner assured her it was a fresh untouched box (and it looked untouched) but she got none of the Wizard of Oz characters! On the plus side, the little cat is awesome and so detailed. I think it'll be near impossible to guarantee in intact order sequence in a store unless the case is unsealed right in front of you.

The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion
Interesting, the Lego Movie 2 sets have been available direct from Amazon UK for some time now so I wonder why they are holding out, we got the classic Benny set on Jan 2nd if I remember correctly . Certainly in my local Tesco Extra they put everything from 2018 on clearance immediately after Christmas, the Lego shelves have basically been completely empty ever since. They had a promotional stand with loads of the new City sets just before Christmas but they sold out within a week and have never been restocked.

Jurassic World 2018 - Rumors and Discussion
Agree on the above. My son loves the dinosaurs but isn't too fussed by the sets (apart from the t-rex transport they aren't particularly inspiring). Obtaining the different dinosaurs is prohibitively expensive as it stands, but weirdly it wouldn't seem so bad paying a large premium to buy the standalone dinosaurs. He's effectively just spent £45 (his Christmas money) buying the Junior T-Rex set just to obtain the dinosaur. It's money well spent in a way as he absolutely adores it, but the rest of the parts have already gone back in the box.
