  1. splunk is a data management company though, so it's a legit company. https://www.splunk.com/en_us/mclaren.html
  2. Minor detail but WRC.. WRX is a Subaru trademark.
  3. This isn't the only new Falcon being released this quarter. Bandai is releasing their 1/72 Perfect Grade Falcon. You should do a comparison of them all when that comes out!
  4. Just finished bag 4 and I'm missing a tonne of pieces.. the 4 teal 2x2 plates that form the base of the carpet in the living room and the single teal 2x2 plate that's the base of the telephone. Also all the slopes for the kitchen chair backs are missing.. and the 1x1 bricks at the bottom of each of the kitchen table legs. I just ordered this set from Lego 2 wks ago too, I wonder if I should call it in now, or finish building the other bags..

In the RC world, Boca and Avid are two reputable companies - try them too. Quality is very consistent: http://www.bocabearings.com/ http://www.avidrc.com/ Probably won't be able to get near the ebay pricing, but have a look anyways.
  6. Not sure if it's already been asked, but with all the submission ideas and the official releases, has anyone tried replicating the submitted models to compare with the Lego release? I'm particularly interested in the Exo-Suit and the Caterham..
  7. In anticipation of this release, I picked up an 8653 Enzo on Bricklink to go with my 8145 599.
  8. It is a Lego brand retail change. If you have comments about the change (Note you are not to take parts from the PAM sections to fill your PAB cup) please contact consumer services in Enfield (1 800 835 4386) and voice your opinions.
  9. Nice model.. I saw it up on /r/Lego and though I'd come here and read the discussion. You matched the lines really well!
  10. still OT, but Kyosho is doing the F40 Competizione in 1/12 scale due out in 2015.... should be quite the model. If the Lego set is the same 1/12 scale I can forgo the Kyosh.. waitaminute. I have the Kyosho 1/12 F40, Tamiya F50, 288GTO, Enzo.. I'd get the new F40 too.
  11. Thanks.. I wasn't aware of that function in Rebrickable. I'll go through it and see how much I still require. So far I think I'm at 92% completion. :)
  12. I'd like to build this, well, start buying parts for it, but I don't know where to start... I've got a Mac but I'm not familiar with what to do with an MPD file. I'm going to start going through the build instructions to compile some parts.. Other thing is, we're in the process of making a big order of parts, where can I find a quick and dirty tutorial on how to best compare what I've got (I've got the current Technic crane and some beams in my collection) but I'm sure I'm missing a bunch of other stuff.. Thanks in advance,
  13. Just came across this.. do not have a layout in mind yet.. what should I get? Haha.. so much for saving money.
  14. Received a bunch of Valentine's cards from Warner Brothers, the studio promoting the movie. Sorry for the grainy nexus 4 camera picture.. they all say "I think you are AWESOME!"
  15. NIce.. reminds me of the Han and Chewie illustration:

All this talk about bricklinking long out of production sets (specifically the UCS Falcon) has me curious - has anyone bricklinked a 10030 ISD? I have two (yes, two) old light gray ISD's, been staring at them for a while and I've been wanting to trade one up for a new bley ISD, but haven't had much luck with that... other than the large tractor tires in the back, everything else seems mostly attainable. They're both built, definitely not mint, but they are complete. I bought the second thinking it was the bley version (even the seller said it was), but it was too good to pass up even for an old grey version. Has anyone attempted it and how much did it cost, if I may ask? Thank you.
  17. Hi Mortesv, Long time in the making.. I'm workign on my SSD now - do you remember how much you lowered the "city" by? Thank you.

Story here is that the Lego brick and mortar stores have this in stock already!
  19. Ordered this (and 41999) at the same time.. they're all shipping to Canadaland from "SOUTHAVEN, MS" - first time I've seen things come from there.. even the Theatre modular didn't come from there.
  20. Heh, this is fun to read. Just like the 10179 serial number thread. :D There is a Honda S2000 serial/production numbers list too.. was interesting to see where I placed on the 2006 MY production run.
  21. Ordered at 0040h MST on August 1st, site indicated that it would take a month but shipped this morning. I'm excited. :D
