@BrickMatit That was a very helpful reply, thank you. How disappointing! I certainly preferred the style of the 2018-21 sets. However if I'm wanting to collect the theme long-term it looks like I'll have to start actually getting these 20th anniversary ones. I did love the look of the Chess set, although I don't think I've ever seen it in stock! Wow! That moc is exactly what I'd hoped the (2018+) official castle sets would eventually look like when combined! A shame it's 'finished' with the Astronomy Tower now. But it is interesting to note how things like this moc are a possibility with the new sets.

Hey, I'm a long time lurker although haven't visited in quite a long time. Could anyone please explain the lay of the land for me, I'm sure this has been much discussed at this point, but I've missed all discourse on the new 20th anniversary sets and the changes they've made to the line. Is the 2018-2020 theme 'done'? or does it still continue despite there now being duplicate sets? Have Lego discussed this at all and how did fans react? I was disappointed to see these sets - as I was initially getting every set of the revived 2018+ theme, but now it seems futile, I have no interest in *some* of the 20th sets (the castle ones), but then there's other's like Hogsmede that we hadn't actually got in the main line yet, and I don't know what's going on or what to expect. Do I skip the 20th sub line, or is this *the* HP theme now? I'm someone that was irrationally annoyed that Private Drive included a 2nd ford anglia that was different to the Willow set because it spoilt the deliberate and complete nature of the theme, so this year has been extremely distressing for me! Are we still expecting to get a wave mainly based on Deathly Hallows part 1&2 after the first 3 years dealt mainly with 1&2, 2&3, and 4&5? Any word on a CMF next year?

I once bought the Infinity War Guardians ship for £20 from argos because they'd swapped the prices round on another set, (£70 for the little thor set) and they honoured it. However the name & description & pictures were all very explicitly the guardians ship, it was just the price that was wrong, so not sure they'd honour it in this case!

Infinity War sets had something similar though, a £20 set that connected to a £90 set for additional play

Hamleys in London have had for a month or so an unholy amount of bricktober packs, they were giving them out for Lego spends above £50 I believe. In-store only, (there was a brief few hours at the start of the promotion where they were online for £20 but it was quickly removed)

I got really frustrated only 2 pages into the Clocktower, something in the first build was surprisingly tricky! [Minor spoiler regarding the build follows, I tried to use tags but didn’t seem to work.] The first thing you build is the Yule ball tables, you have to place the decorations in between the studs of the plates, this was extremely fiddly and when I finally got one in, I’d frequently knock it off attempting to add the next piece, those two mini table builds probably took me half an hour!

Picked up the Clocktower in Waterstones today, can’t wait to build it!

Does anyone have any insight into what Odeon Cinemas are giving away at the 10 year anniversary screenings of Infinity War? From their website: “And that's not all, every guest who books to see one of the 20 films will receive a special edition 10 year anniversary poster to mark the occasion. Plus, if you see 'Avengers: Infinity War', you will also receive a special edition Lego set!” from the terms and conditions: “2. By booking a ticket in cinema or online (including the ODEON app) to see Avengers: Infinity War on the 2nd October 2018 (inclusive), you will also be eligible to receive ONE Avengers: Infinity War Lego set.” I’m assuming ‘set’ is a loose term and it’s likely to be a polybag but, anyone know?

Long time lurker - came here to say I was successful with the Argos mistake! - Website would not allow me to add to basket 'item unavailable' - iOS Argos App displayed set with £19.99 price but said unable to check stock for collection or delivery - Chanced it and drove to local store, in-store computer said they had 1 in stock (for £19.99) - Took ticket to counter and purchased, as expected Thor's Weapon Quest was sent down instead. - Disputed it saying it's the wrong set, they found it but initially said I couldn't have it (offered refund). - After speaking to the manager for a while the employee returned and said they wouldn't be doing this from now on, and that they've flagged the error to head office, but as a goodwill gesture they would honour the purchase and allow me to walk away with their only 76107!

Hey I'm new to the forum (literally, first post right here) and Lego MOCs in general, but I'm a huge whovian and am really interested in building something like this, especially the 10 and 11 ones! Is there any easy way for you to post/send me the parts list and/or building instructions? Or is there program I should download that would allow you to send me the build file? Thanks.
