Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
Nah, this is a good item for town to have. I'm a bit irked that it was revealed, but at least we can make sure it stays in town hands tomorrow. I don't see how it's a safety mechanism? Am I missing something? I'm happy to take the thief ability, though. Do I get to use it?? Agreed. Walter is probably town. Then lynching you is a bad idea. We want to keep that and for it to be taken by whoever's been investigated to give us a confirmed, invincible townie each day. I kind of get where everyone's coming from on the StickFig wagon, but I would discourage a lynch - I don't find anything very compelling in his case. I'm also wary of the wagon itself - it's a scary one. There's almost certainly scum hiding in there. Vote: Mary Jane (JackJonespaw) She hasn't done anything helpful (and has honestly been a detriment...) and now I don't like how she jumped on the StickFig wagon. Jack isn't a newbie, is he? I've been playing with him for a while...- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
I'm just not sure I'm totally understanding the system - if it's in the first wave and the investigated person can't get to it in the first 12 hours, wouldn't it be randomly assigned?? I'm overthinking, I think. This is another issue. Not only does it have to be someone who's town, but also someone who will kill right (and wants it, for that matter). I don't like that you're trying to get on my good side by parroting my reads... Also, Heroica - what?? Do you have any idea how mafia works? Later on in the game, yeah, that'd be cool. For now, it's all on my shoulders. I won't let you down.- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
That's a good idea, but what happens if the investigated person is in a timezone where they can't grab the helmet? Not to mention blocks, godfathers, and the possibility of a dead cop. I think we should at least have a backup candidate for now.- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
Yeah, this is why I suggested it. If we have at least a tentative candidate, that's best for the whole time-zone thing. Who are we thinking for tomorrow's vig then? I have townreads on Zepher, Dragonfire, and kind of Bob too, but it's early days yet. Input from anyone else? And what do we want to do about the lynch? I think Jack might be an alright lynch. I mean, the wagon's gotten a slow start, so that says something. Anyone else got any better ideas? I'm not too keen on either of the lynches we have now (null on Walter - he's not a good Day One lynch), and I'd like to use our most important weapon to our advantage today.- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
I'm not sure about publicizing my target. The problem we find is not just protection but also blocking and killing (although the latter only comes in on nights when the War Machine isn't protected) - they'll be able to block to either frame the target or protect a scum - it'll be WIFOM city. We need to keep them in the dark and keep them guessing.- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
Yeah, I hate to be that guy who professes that he's the towniest of townies, but well... I am. I plan to lynch scum today so I can be a beacon of hope for good townies everywhere. What about the godfather, though? Yeah, it's possible that the scum will try to cut their losses and kill me and not run the risk that a united town kills them at night. Protection would be awesome. Who do we think for tomorrow's vig? Let's discuss this as well as lynch targets.- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
Well, I'm only the vig for as long as I have this helmet, but yeah, it was suggested and seems like a good idea. We need to make it impossible for scum to use it to their own ends.- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
I love the idea of keeping the vig action out in the open. That was our downfall in Bloodbrick II - scum kept getting it. I got the War Machine's Similar Helmet, so I'm the vigilante for tonight. Mine isn't mandatory, I don't think. I'll ask. Bad idea. Now that the action is out in the open, if we decide on a scum, they'll use any actions they get to stop the vig (blocker, protecting the target, killing, etc.) I think it's best for the vig to make his/her own decision - or just not kill at all. Here's another idea - we vote instead each day not only for who we want to lynch, but who we want to take the vig action the next day. This means it will most likely stay in town hands, and if anyone but the decided person takes it, we know they're scum. I don't think the scum will try to take it out yet. If so, I'm open to dying tonight for a good cause - if we lose the vig action, so do they. your call, scummos.- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
Does that mean you're not one right now?- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
Brickelodeon, I'm getting an Alastair vibe right now. Don't be an Alastair.- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
This is correct. Keep in mind that everyone is taking a costume - this isn't a "town night actions vs. scum" game; everyone's in it together. Being out in the open about the costumes at least at this point will give us more info with which to catch scum (or at the very least not be fooled). Day One lynch revealing their costume is especially key - it's totally possible that we'll lynch an important costume (like a cop or a vigilante) and spend a lot of time in succeeding days wondering where it is.- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
There's a difference between a Day One lynch and a random lynch. Some people might vote randomly, but that doesn't mean that that's the right way to go. We're lynching today, and we'll do so off of behavior.- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
You missed my choice, Flash...- Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?

Too late to remedy my bald head. This is an excellent point... Not only that, but I remember back in the last situation like this, the fact that the scum were able to get several pills costumes each night wound up being a huge advantage for them. We should be wary of groups of people who seem to be passing around the same costumes.- Pelly's Paradise Confirmation and Discussion

jamesn is another all-star. 90% of our correct reads came from him. Wicked smart guy.- Unrest in the Forest - Conclusion: Hatchet, Axe and Saw
On the first night I stayed home, I was about to send in an action to kill Hinckley, but deleted it since I was busy and didn't have time to think it through. I thought, if he was town BP, he'd live and I'd still effectively kill no one. Sorry everyone. I should feel played, but I don't. We had a blast this game. I remember at one point I told Hinck that we should take credit for any successful SK targets, and he laughed and said that that was a great idea because they wouldn't counterclaim. God. Thank you for this excellent, excellent game Walter. I haven't had such a good game since I totally owned fhomess in Jedi Temple. Speaking of fhomess, wow!! Good job. Hinck and I were wary of you at one point, but by the end I thought you were town. Excellent job. Bob too! And mostlytechnic! Wow, awesome scum team. To all my townies and stumps, please forgive me.- Unrest in the Forest - Day 8: Moving Pictures
Actually, yeah, the rules say that we win when all Maples are gone. The SK should claim and we should lynch the last scum.- Unrest in the Forest - Day 8: Moving Pictures
I'll consult with the other stumps about the meaning of this...- Unrest in the Forest - Day 8: Moving Pictures
I'd quote it but I already got my penalties for that. Waldorf, back me up. He did say that, right?? Wait, no, I'm mixing it up. You only find out IF you've been hit, not WHO does it. It's time for me to clock out of this game. - Pelly's Paradise Day One: Huh?
