[TC27] Fire department all road / off road truck
brickless_kiwi replied to steph77's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHi Steph. I can figure out most of the moc from the photos but your dumping / lift arm system is just elusive. I know your a busy person but do you have plans to do instructions or a studio file? Kind regards Matt

[TC27] Fire truck
brickless_kiwi replied to Jeroen Ottens's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHonestly I would leave the truck 15 studs wide. I certainly prefer to put a gearbox in gear then use the battery box to control forwards and backwards.

[TC27] Lime dump truck
brickless_kiwi replied to efgen86's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingIt is always interesting to see the evolution of a moc. Typically this would be a wood chip truck in nz. With either a walking floor trailer. I'm not a huge fan of the black and grey grill. But the white rims pop! There are some very cool design elements that you have used. Keep up the good work.

[TC27] Transport truck with crane
brickless_kiwi replied to Jundis's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingOften in Nz and Oz referred to as a Hiab truck though the biggest selling Hiab system is palfinger. The combinations are quiet varied here but yours is very European with the steered and lift third axle. I will watch with interest.

[MOC] 1995 Geo Tracker (Suzuki Sidekick/Vitara)
brickless_kiwi replied to 2GodBDGlory's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingAlas RM8 has built so many versions of the toyota hilux. It's a little hard or in truth easy for me to build my real life car. I might have a go at my current work ute being a mq mitsubishi triton. Being a bit of a angular and boxy shape probably would lend itself to technic rather well.

Grum's Shed
brickless_kiwi replied to grum64's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingLove the username. Owned a 08 Yzf-r1.. not really a fan of the modern bikes. More the classic Supersports of yesteryear... No more accidents grum... else the OHS lady might ban you from Lego...

Is Spike Prime worth it at home?
brickless_kiwi replied to Amt0571's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingSpike prime is over priced for what it is. There is a lot of third party compatible arduino based "lego" style controllers and motors that would be worth looking at

[TC25] 42054 Claas Xerion 5000 Trac VC
brickless_kiwi replied to Ngoc Nguyen's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI'm loving seeing the creative genius of this competition. Lego really should be taking note maybe to revisit sets at this detail in the smaller scale... it will look good next to its big brother

Honda Civic Type-R (Ek9) 1:16
brickless_kiwi replied to danielsmocs's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingIt's rare to see JDM ( Japanese domestic market ) model's in lego. There us only hope that you take on a few more as this is very well done. And certainly one I would like to have on the shelf. At least you didn't K20a motor swap it. Well done again. 👏

Holden Torana A9X
brickless_kiwi replied to Lox Lego's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI don't know where to start. I always felt loxlego front looked very 1965 ford mustang that had been stripped for the track. This is such a more truer to life or localized. ( the good old 100 litre drop tank ) The Orange is amazing.. pricey. But still there are not many cars you could pull this off.. Brought back a lot of great memories. Thank you...

Opportunity: Next Level Technic Creations opportunity
brickless_kiwi replied to Jim's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI'm quite surprised they just didn't use survey monkey given the level of professional polish on what really is a turd of a questioner... Times have somewhat changed when the Chinese market has the fit. Finish and polish of lego then lego is going to be in serious trouble. Maybe lego is just looking for different ideas? If you look at the ideas program pure technic doesn't even feature or come close to the number of other ideas.

Lego technic, tow truck, eBay.
brickless_kiwi replied to thequeenjo's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI believe that jo already has one but given her situation. One built and ready to go with controller and effermans extra parts is just easier.

looking for some remote control, Lego trucks,
brickless_kiwi replied to thequeenjo's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingHi Jo. I know it's quite annoying as there always seems to be cool custom lego trucks predominantly on eBay Germany people build then sell... Sorry mate I'm not much help. Could sell you a scania 140 1:1 shipping can be arranged. Though you would need a decent shelf for it. ( my daily driver ) kind regards Matt

Grum's Shed
brickless_kiwi replied to grum64's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingCondolences Grum. I spent many years trucking with my dad. From being a nipper in the passenger seat through holding a class 5 and driving in convoy with the old man. I think a eight wide or ten wide in Model team would be possible. I will have a bit of a try tonight and see what can be done. mack anthem scale can be done later... regards Matt

[WIP] Classic Dump Truck
brickless_kiwi replied to JLiu15's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingI realise that this is not a direct model more a "classic" however for me the bottom of the dump bed needs to drop at least 3 studs.. it's way to high in space. You could cheat by doing a false bottom bed if height over the chassis is an issue.

Gotten better, but still need help
brickless_kiwi replied to TechnicWeirdo's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingIncreasing your parts will give you better options and also depends on the scale or tire size you are going to use. RM8 fj40 is a classic design. Thirdwiggs unimogs classic and user friendly. Google and rebrickable.com is your friend Kind regards Matt

Generic Contest Discussion
brickless_kiwi replied to Jim's post in a topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale ModelingAha. Thank you. It's a competition I would like to revisit at some point. Unfortunately I'm not much of a creative person with lego. But I do enjoy other people's builds and mocs.
