  1. Thanks! This might be exactly what I need! Would you mind adding a link to the LDD file?
  2. Great job on making it so small! I was able to reverse-engineer it from the video so I made an LDD file: http://bricksafe.com/files/Offroadcreations/jeroen-ottens-/Jeroen Ottens Shifter.lxf I think I will in an upcoming MOC. EDIT: Tried to fit it in, but I can't find a sequential gearbox small enough to fit.
  3. I like the progress, I'm sure it will be great when it's finished. In it's current state, however, it looks like a hot rod.
  4. Thanks for the great review, I'm sold on this set. Also thanks for the extra effort to show how it looked with different wheels.
  5. Thanks guys! Yeah, LDD BI are hard to use, BUT you could go into Build Mode and use the hide tool to hide the outside and see deep in the model, and then show the parts gradually as BI. I tried to do the best I could in such a small space, but after seeing your comment, and looking at the model, I bet I could change it up some more to fix that issue. Yeah, but I only have 2 pairs. So I changed it to 4 big lights. Not the same, but pretty cool. Also, it's hard to see it from the photo, but the 2 middle ones are darker. Maybe they are older and Lego started making them brighter later?
  6. Thanks! I tried to find the optimal gear ratio to provide speed but still have enough torque to go offroad.
  7. Oh man, this is amazing. What you've managed to do, is take what some may call an ugly car and make it look better, while still keeping it instantly recognisable. With each model, you continue to improve and impress.
  8. I made a quick little mock-up of the hood and added onto it so it is 1 stud taller and has white to go with the rest of it. LDD file
  9. Awesome model, you did great, especially consider you had to ration parts since it's a C-Model. Like them? I love them! Those are really awesome pictures. By the way, is the Toyota Tacoma you're planning on also going to be a C-Model?
  10. IFS= Independent Front Suspension Hello all Today I'm proud to present my new MOC, the King of the Hammers IFS Buggy. This all started almost a year ago, when I wanted to build this, but changed my mind because of trouble with the rear suspension. So I made this in under a week, one reason for the speed of this build was that I used a pre-made rear suspension. It is a floating axle with four links designed by @Sariel, it works great on this model and gives it lots of travel. The reason I used this was because when I decided to build this, I thought that was what was used on the real ones. After closer inspection, I remembered this is just a live axle, with links going to a moving rod on the back. For example, this. So the suspension isn't realistic, but I think it works perfect on this model. For power, it uses a Minizip cable and 9V battery to power an SBrick, which controls 1 XL-motor geared 1.667:1 for rear wheel drive and a Servo motor for steering. Here it is with a 42000- inspired color scheme, if that's more your style. And size compared to 42037: Tell me what you think, and have a great day!
  11. Very cute truck, awesome suspension! I too like those tires, I don't use them often enough. I may build it sometime.
  12. Beautiful car! That HoG shifter is a very interesting, I may have to try that some time. Very excited for that video. I do that all the time. It bends it, but I have never broken one, knock on wood.
  13. Look good, also thanks for sharing those pictures of the axles. Also, what happened to the attachment with outriggers?
  14. I can understand this, and agree. But since some images of 2018 DC Superheroes sets were revealed, it isn't super unlikely that this list is real.
  15. Yet another great review! Small typo: Also, since it is so "yuge" I was wondering if you (or anyone who has it) would mind comparing it to the 42029. The cabins seem similar. If not, that's fine, I am just curious.
  16. Looks great, the tractor tires fit it perfectly. I like the rear suspension, and I think I'll have to try the front suspension's linear actuator solution sometime. Also, how does it perform with the buggy motors? Does it work well with them?
  17. The slap is theoretical. Just like with the set, Lego expects you to build it better. So you'll have to build a Technic hand to give a real slap. I think I will be getting the 42070, but the question is when. I'll definitely wait for a sale, I just hope I don't have to wait until Lego officially discounts it when it retires in a couple years. But I will definitely get the 42069. Great price, many parts, and nice functions. And 42068 is undecided until I see @Jim and @Sariel's reviews.
  18. Wow, this is amazing! Very realistic and recognisable, very clean and smooth, nothing sticking out too much. Even cooler that it's a c-model. Also, I have noticed that the quality of your MOCs are improving. Not that your earlier ones were bad quality. You started a good builder, and IMO you keep getting better. Keep it up!
  19. There were. For example, Dokludi. Edit: Oops , LXF beat me to it.
  20. I have been wanting to build an Ultra4 Buggy for a long time, featuring a 4-link floating axle. I hope I'll get to start on it soon. It would be something like this:
  21. Cool! Overall it's kind of cute. My favorite one is actually the orange one, because it has a smooth, clean look to it and isn't super flashy.
  22. Looks like 42070 will be pretty complicated, with all the function switchers. But I agree that the front steering is overcomplicated. @Jim You said both parts list photos you posted were of 42069, when the first one was 42068.
  23. I know how you feel. But IMO it's worth it in the end if you get a nice picture. This looks good, I agree that you should change the panels, and maybe lower the front so the model isn't pointing at the sky as much. Otherwise I like it.
  24. Well now I'm even more excited. Those are useful, too.
