  1. I still feel like the new Monkey Kid theme is going to take place in a realm or hitherto unexplored corner of the Ninjago world, one that takes more inspiration from China than Japan
  2. Would that I could have your confidence, mr. 2good; as a die-hard Nintendo fan, I've just inured myself to inevitable disappointment.
  3. My guesses for those are Quidditch Ron in his keeper outfit, and probably Cat Hermione.
  4. FINALLY A KINGSLEY MINIFIGURE Myrtle, Richard Harris Dumbledore, and the Monster Book all look incredible as well
  5. My question is if Mario is the only one of the technology figures, what are the four 10$ sets with terrible part numbers? I at least reckoned those to be the other plumbers, toad, or some other playable character.
  6. Yeah; it looks very modular, like the old LEGO board games (especially Heroica). Just from that I see plenty of 'level packs' coming out with parts themed around ghost houses, airships, snow levels, desert levels, etc.
  7. This looks...interesting. I'm still keeping my hopes up for actual figures, but as a big time collector of the Heroica sets back in the day, this does scratch a certain itch. If nothing else, the builds for Yoshi, Bowser Jr., etc look very good!
  8. Personally I'd prefer Luigi's Mansion to a generic ghost house.
  9. The problem with LEGO Overwatch was, in many eyes, timing. By the time the sets released, Overwatch had fallen pretty far from its peak popularity (and That controversy coming soon after didn't help anything). Mario and Minecraft are by now household names, unlikely to be forgotten soon, and its that edge that gives them better chances. (on that note, hey LEGO sonic is ALSO a game brand with permanent sticking power just saying)
  10. Man, a crafting box style Mario Maker set would be incredible.
  11. Alright, it probably won't be a minifig series. But those blocks ARE minifig scale, so if its all this weird screen block thing, it'll be quite the disappointment. ed: ninji'd
  12. I'd still like to think that the price hike is because DC; I'll wait for concrete news before losing my hope.
  13. Ah. I was unaware of this.
  14. I want to believe because with all the characters in the Mario universe, not making a figure series seems like a giant missed opportunity
  15. Instagram says we're getting a minifigure series (take that with a grain of salt tho)
  16. I AM VINDICATED Every time I brought this up someone brought up Nintendo's old LEGO copy, or their partners with Megablocks for Pokemon or Knex for Mario itself. Who's laughing now? I can't wait for more news on this. This is probably why Mario and Donkey Kong weren't allowed for Ideas submissions back when the license checker was new.
  17. Oh that is Very good. I remember being super disappointed when the rumored 'voodoo doctor' in the monster fighters sets turned out to be just another Zombie. But you have captured this archetype amazingly well!
  18. Oh, a call of Cthulhu type-theme would be incredible. Something I've been considering of late is a new secret agent type line. Much more grounded than Ultra Agents, but with a charm of its own. A big focus would be on disguise and stealth, like a booth with a spinning wall that you can flip around to change your agent into an enemy minion or something.
  19. The Red Ranger and Viking are definite cops, and the keytar, drone, and nunchuck chain are good pieces, but overall this series feels pretty average.
  20. I knew I saw a Bride of Frankenstein type in the blur image. Seeing her for real, she's definitely my favorite of the series! Well, her or the centaur.
  21. That's a shame. But I understand! Maybe next year we'll get a "Holiday Thief" type character too--you've proven you're not averse to figures from holiday literature. All the same, keep up the good work! I can't wait to see the rest of this year's calendar
  22. You're really on a role with these, Rob! The Krampus is a very good take on one of my favorite holiday stories, and the Plush is a hilarious concept. The only ones I'm hoping for now are a Nutcracker and Mouse King. Might we see one of those in these calendars?
  23. I've been really busy but I have to say I really love these designs so far! I can't wait to see the rest of them.
  24. Oooh, I love this guy's art! I've been following him for a while.
  25. Another fantastic series, Rob! I absolutely adore the automaton—she’d probably display well with your Chaplin and cartoon figs! And the Monster Hunter is one of my favorite character archetypes you’ve come up with.
