Finaly we get a new Mech for takeshi. And yes, it's yellow. It brings back some flashbacks of Supernova. Good times. Anyways, I recieved this set at christmas last year, with 3 other EF sets. Set name: Assault Tiger Number: 8113 Pieces: 163 Theme: Exo-force Year Released: 2008 Price: 15.00 USD, 18.95 EUR 1/Box The boxes this year are much different than those from previous years. It has some gaps in it, and has a cardboard backround inside of it. The box itself shows Assault tiger and the set information. The back shows a combiner. The cardboard backdrop: A very nice jungle look to it. It has lots of fog as well, creating a pale effect. 2/Contents The instructions: The instructions are clear, and straight-forward. Also included is a lego "blooper." The remains of the sticker sheet: The stickers aren't too bad. I didn't apply the saw sticker as I wanted it to be left plain. The buzzsaw: A VERY cool piece. Mocists will love this. 3/Build The figures: The figures included are Takeshi, who features a nice new torso. Also included is the mini robot. His is a very neat little guy, but sadly, he doesn't really become a weapon. More of a block of red and black bricks. The torso: Now the torso design for Assault tiger is very different from the past years. It now uses a castle-like piece as the main structure. Also of note is that he has a mini throne. No controls, sadly. And with the orange cockpit piece, it's impossible to see takeshi when looking at the AT close on. See the third pic. The legs: The legs are slightly similar to the MT-201 Ultra drill walker's, but have been modified to fit the AT. They are quite large, and suit their purpose. The arms: The arms follow a new design, but the only problem is, they have no elbow or hand articulation. Nice weapons though. The finished product: ----------------------- Parts: 10/10 (lots of useful pieces, great colors, and some very cool new pieces.) Minifigs: 8/10 (A robot would have been nice, and a better weapon mode for the mini-robot would have been good.) Price per part: 7/10 (A stretch...) Playability: 8/10 (The lack of elbow and wrist articulation isn't the greatest. Overall: 33/40 82.5% B- Assault tiger is a nice set, but some of those small little things can truly take a toll on the final rating. I think that I would only recommend this set to anyone who wants the yellow, and hardcore Exo-force fans. S@H link Peeron link I hope you enjoyed the review, and if you have any pic requests or questions, please ask.

Okay guys, time for yet another review by VBBN! Today I shall be reviewing se 8910 Kongu Mahri. The first few pictures are a little flushed out, and I am terribly sorry for that. I have taken what comments I recieved in the last review and I have put them to use in this review. So anywho, I recieved this set with the other 5 toa mahri, and I have to say, He is my second favorite. So, sit back and read the review! Enjoy! Set name: Toa Kongu Mahri Number: 8910 Pieces: 64 Year Released: 2007 Theme: Bionicle Team: Toa Mahri Colors: Mata red, dark green, trans-lime green, dark gray, silver, mata blue. 1/The Box The box displays the set information, and shows the various functions in the set. These include the turret, and the cordak blaster. Next, you remove two pieces of tape, which reveals a plastic-and-cardboard packet, and a plastic frame. 2/Contents Here we have the contents! Instructions, the cardboard piece(part of it, pic cut it off), a bag containig parts, loose pieces, and the empty container. This is the first time we have seen a bag in a canister set in Bionicle. It was very interesting to see this change. The loose pieces consist of his Cordak Revolving Blasters, and an air tube. Instructions: Very crisp and clear. Random Manual Image: The inventory: Here we have the interesting/new pieces. And there are quite a few. Firstly, we have metru limbs(not pictured) in dark gray, Hordika arms, green inika thigh armor, and green rahkshi feet. Also, we have a NEW torso, a new eyepiece, the cordak blaster, the cordak ammo, an air tube, and his knohi mask. And a few system pices are pictured as well. 3/Build Okay, now the pics get better. Finaly, we get a new torso. This is a nice change from the inika torsos for sure. One thing that intrigued me was that you use two hordika gear arms, and plug them in to create the arm's ball joints. The legs: The legs are short, but them certainly suit the mutated Kongu. Mask: I always love new masks, and this one is no exception. It is really nice, and has some interesting details in it. Also of interest is that you plug the system pieces to the back of the eyepiece, to create an air tank. The arms are okay, nothing new, but the do use dark gray metru limbs. (Then, all you have to do is add in the ammo!) I didn't take a back view, but here is the action pose: Bonus: Also of interest, is that you can make the plastic frame a turret, and that you can use the canister as a Status tank. Parts: 9.5/10(Lot's of new and recolored pieces! I am not fond of metru thigh armor.) Playability: 9.5/10(It's an action figure. And the dual cordak blasters make for some fun. But he doesn't have all of the movements that a biomechanical creature should.) Price-to-piece ratio: 7.5/10(Average for Bionicle. Mast of it is cordak.) Overall: 26.5/30 88% B+* Kongu Mahri is very nice set! He may not be that simialr to his previous versions, but the striking color scheme of Dark gray and dark green, with the extra red really stands out, and it doesn't ruin the color scheme for me. I would highly recommend Kongu Mahri if you can find him. Bionicle fans will love this set, and I'm sure system fans who like action figures would like this set. As always, don't hesitate if you have questions, pic requests, etc.! I look forward to you comments.

Today I shall be reviewing 8290 Mini Forklift, which I recieved when I went to TRU to get a technic set. So Enjoy! Set Name: Mini Forklift Number: 8290 Theme: Technic Parts: 89 Price: $10.99 1/Box The box for this set is suprisingly small. It's about the size of a $3.99 set. It shows the Main Forklift, and the set information. The back of the box features the Dragster. A very cool model, and the suspension works perfectly. 2/Contents We have two instruction booklets; One for the Forklift and one for the Dragster. The bags: Here are a few interesting pieces: The long double pin in blue, a bionicle connecter joint, and a yellow L joint. 3/Build We start off build nice and solid, with your average technic build: The following steps build up the detail of the bottom part. Next comes the cab. It's pretty simple yet effective. After that comes the Forks. They work very well, but If you have the palatte on them, and you let go, it might topple off. Hint: Put the edge of the palatte on the small lip on the pieces that connect to the forks. This will hold it on better. The finished Product and palatte: Extra Pieces(keep them, as they are used to build the alternate model): Here is something that I found- how to put a minifigure into the cab. First, remove the side doors. Then, set the fig into the cab, with his arm sticking slightly out the gap. And finaly, seal off the cab. A nice way to put system into technic for your towns. ---------------------------- Parts: 9/10(Loving them all.) Price per part ratio: 8/10(Somewhat Pleaseing) Playability: 9/10: Works in any system town, and has a great dragster alternate model. Overall: 26/30 86% B+ Overall I would definatly recommend this set to anyone, whether you are a system or technic fan, this is perfect. It has great parts, and is pretty cheap. The alternate model is also very good. I hope you all enjoyed my Review! I have made the pictures the requested size on my camera. I look forward to hearing your comments.

I received this set with a $25 gift card, so It was a great buy. It follow with a similar build to the 2007 trucks, but has a few improvements. Of course, the name of the set could have been a bit more creative... And yes, this was an academy review. Set name: Truck and Forklift Number: 7733 Pieces: 343 Theme: City Year Released: 2008 Price: $25.00 USD, 19.99 GBP, 24.00 Euro 1/Box Now the box follows a design similar to most other City sets. It has the set information and photo of the set on the front, (sorry for it getting cut off, I will remake it). Now the back of the box shows what each bag builds. Bag 1 is for the forklift, bag 2 is for the cab, and bags 3 and 4 are for the containers. It also has the set's features. 2/Contents The instructions: There are 2 books included with the set: One for the forklift, and one for the truck. Minifigure(1) The first minifig you build is a simple cargo worker. Interesting/new parts: Here we have some interesting and new parts. They include a yellow seat, a 1x2 plate with clips, and a 1x4 slope. 3/The build Cargo1 The first cargo palette has a few crates on it. I really like the sticker on the small box. Forklift: The forklift is a very fun extra to build, and it is probably the best forklift that we have had so far. It is very realistic and is very strong. Cargo2 The next piece of cargo is some Octan barrels on a meter. I am not sure what It is supposed to be, but it is still a nice addition to the set. Minifgure(2) The second minifigure is a classic driver with sunglasses and a coffee mug. Very nice. New piece! This is a very nice new piece that is included in the set, a hollow canopy. I believe it is also in White with the police mobile command station. Truck: Now anyone who has had one of the Lego City Harbor sets from last year, then you will probably find this build to be very similar. Mostly in the cab part of the truck. The trucks build is very solid, and very realistic. I sense ths will bring the ratings up quite a bit. Mystery Cargo: For some time specualtion has been going around, what exactly is this? It seems like nuero poison.. I am very happy with those 2x2 cylinders in trans-yellow. In fact, you can join in and guess what it may be in this topic. Containers: The first container is built to hold one palette. It fits onto the truck. It produces a very pleasing result, and has a better look to it than the Containers from last year had. The second container has the ability to hold two palettes, and has a design similar to the first. Then, you build on the wheels. The back ones have beautiful mudflaps! Finshed set: ---------------------------------- Parts: 10/10 (lots of useful pieces, great colors, and some very cool new pieces.) Minifigs: 8/10 (I would have liked another but it was $25, so I guess its okay.) Price per part: 10/10 (almost 350 pieces for $25. ) Playability: 8/10 (Forklifts are always fun, and there are lots of things to do with this set.) Overall: 36/40 90% A- This is truley an outstanding set, and It will make a great addition to anyones collection. Mocers would aslo like this, due to the fact that it has some really nice parts. It has a great build, and utilizes some awesome new techniques. It also has details, something you might look for in a set. Highly Recommended. Hope everyone enjoyed the review! If you have any pic requests, questions, etc., please ask! I look forward to hearing your comments, and the judges comments as well. 7733 Peeron.com 7733 Bricklink Catalog 7733 Shop At Home

Well, I went over to my girlfriends house for the most of the day, then I finished my third review for the reviewers academy.

Few things. 1) I meant, is Photoks shade of orange different than Pohuatus. I heard this from somewhere, and I want to clarify it. 2) Please put all comments on 2009 sets in the 2009 thread. This thread is for the Mistika and Phantoka.

One question: Is pohuatu's orange different than Photoks?

Trans cones... Well, the rest is pretty good, but the chef's pizzas a re a BIG letdown for me.
