Though the question is old, it is still interesting. I buy second hand LEGO, both sets and bulk, mainly the latter. When trying to restore the sets, I try to find bricks of the same era. Only if I really cannot find a suitable brick, it will be replaced by newer ones. But then I will make a note in my collections on Brickset and Rebrickable, so I hopefully later on can swap the bricks, if I find a suitable one.

Congratulations on the 10 years of Brickville, @SalvoBrick! For the past years, I have not been overly active here on EuroBricks. I can see that from the changes that have happened to Brickville. I do remember your distinct building style, and see that you still build in the same size. I think this size is a perfect compromise between the classic Town/City and Modular buildings. You still can get a layout with a variety of buildings, even though you do not have an enormous LEGO room.

Insane as I am, I am trying to register all my parts (give or take...). For the time being, I am nearly through the sets. Parts collected and registered, taken notes of missing or replaced bricks. Once through the sets, I will count the loose parts (and sort those bricks that have not been that yet) - coming from different sources. I use Rebrickable for the parts. This way, I can see if I have other sets in the collection, that might be interesting enough to find the parts for. Eventually to sell sets from themes I have no interest in. I also will check up, if I have some parts to complete sets that miss some bricks. Final aim is to find out how big the collection is. I have a rough estimate, though I would like to get closer to the actual number. It takes a lot of time, no doubt about it. Sometimes breaks are longer that I would like them to be, but it can drive you crazy...

WOW! It is really amazing! I have never seen these ideas for CMFs, Robert8. But I must say, there are so many great ideas. It is hard to choose favourites, I want so many. But that said, due to my interests, I really appreciate both the ancient Egyptians and almost everything Yule/Christmas.

To me, the train looks like an EMU, electric multiple unit, so no need of a power unit. The train also seems to be built with the Danish designed "rubber nose" found on the Danish IC3 and IR4 trains, the Danish-Swedish Øresund Train as well as on some Belgian and Spanish trains.

From the pictures, I feel quite sure it is the normal 6 studs gauge.

Curious! Here in Denmark we also have a dolphin visiting our waters. It's on the border to the Baltic Sea. It has been named "Delle", as the Danish word for dolphin is "delfin". Delle, though, also means "roll of fat". I like how you manage to include actual events into Ballabreek, greg3.

Nevertheless LEGO sets are often less expensive in Germany than in Denmark, as pointed out in the examples given. On a European scale Denmark is quite expensive when it comes to LEGO. Personally I found it worth carrying home a Modular building from Germany to Denmark.

I do not see it says that the set will be released today (13 July), only that it will be released this year. The information is updated today.

If I do remember right, my previous orders were also delivered from Germany. Today I have received a nice answer from LEGO Customer Service. It is explained that there is an issue with checking out. Hence the service has been temporarily cancelled for most countries, until the problem has been solved. It ought to be up and running again within a few days. - It is, however, not explained why it is possible to make orders from certain countries...

Well... It seems so, as I have not seen this note. At least I will cross my fingers that it is the case...

Well... It did not take long from I explored the new system until I wrote an email to customer service uttering my dissatisfaction regarding the new coupon system, as well as the new geographical limitation on buying bricks from Bricks & Pieces where only residents of four (4) countries can buy there now. I think it is great that points can be spend on other things now (not that I plan to do that), but this whole coupon system seems very annoying and certainly not very clear.

I just noticed the exact same thing. Not even here in Denmark - home of TLG - we can order bricks from Bricks and Pieces anymore. I was saving my points to spend them here. This is very disappointing! EDIT/addition: They have already received an email from me regarding this issue.

Regarding the doors on the starboard side of the aircraft, they are typically used as service doors, eg. for catering. And of course as emergency exits. Almost all aircraft have doors on the starboard side mirroring the port side doors, though there are exceptions. Almost all regional jets and turboprops only have doors on the port side and so does the DC-9/MD-80/MD-90/B717 family. These aircraft often have a smaller service door at the galley.

It seems a lot of people do not connect Christmas with the fire brigade. At least here in Denmark it is not unusual that Father Christmas/Santa Claus is arriving in a fire truck when it is time to light the Christmas tree on the town square. Eventually he is using the ladder or lift to get up to the top of the tree. When I was a child in the 80s it was not uncommon in my hometown that a vintage fire truck was going around in the city centre with children - and Father Christmas in the front seat. At the yearly World Santa Claus Congress held in July at the Danish amusement park Bakken there is a parade including Santa Clauses from around the world - and fire trucks. So here the fire brigade is indeed connected to Christmas.
