  1. I'm not going to post a picture because pictures have already been posted, but prize C just came today! Thanks CopMike, they're minifigures I wouldn't normally get!
  2. Decided to make a ski resort for this, including a ski lodge and ski lift, plus a frozen-over lake with a boat stuck. Thanks for hosting the raffle!
  3. I think I'd look better if there was a bit of an interior, even if it was just a couple seats and a control of some sort. I'd also try to block off the thing (I don't know what it's called ) that holds up the side panel. Other than that, seems pretty good so far.
  4. A mediocre bus with branding plastered everywhere. 8914 Toa Hahli
  5. I currently have one UCS set, Slave 1. I'd like to get a couple more to go along with it, but I don't mind if it's retired. Which ones should I get that fit well with Slave 1?

Very nice! I do think that the beach and water could be fixed slightly, but other than that I like it.
  7. Thank you, I think I understand now. Last question, are most sets released by TLG not MF scale? Obviously some are, but for the most part, a lot of sets would be really big if they were in scale with MFs. Is that why a lot of sets aren't? I also suppose that's what UCS sets are for, then . Anyway, I'm asking because I've been trying to figure out the best way to display some sets if the scales are different. Thank you if you've replied to this topic, you've all been a great help.
  8. I understand. However, when you get into themes that aren't real like Star Wars, I'd like to know what SW sets are MF scale, as it's not as clear for these. I've seen some people say that their MOC's or certain sets are minifig scale. Do they just make these statement out of nowhere or is thought out in a way?
  9. Last night I was thinking about what defines something as minifig scale, considering the proportions of a minifigure are different from a person. So, what does define something as minifig scale? Is there an easy way to tell if something is? And what I want to know most, is there a list somewhere of what sets are minifig scale, and which ones are bigger or smaller? If this has been mentioned elsewhere, I'm sorry.
  10. It's amazing that you have the patience to do this. I'd like to get a couple off Bricklink, but I haven't done it. How long does it take for you to make substitutions, order and get bricks, etc?
  11. It's an interesting building in real life, but you did a great job representing it in Lego. It's a good size and with the different angles, I'd buy it if it was a real set. Guess I'm not winning this contest
  12. I wouldn't exactly say Los Angeles is known for it's architecture, but there are some nice buildings that deserve to have an architecture set. This isn't an amazing entry, but I am pretty pleased with it considering it's one of my first MOCs. This building was completed in 1956 and is the home of Capitol Records, a famous record label. It may be 30 miles from me, but it's still local enough. A picture of the side and back, including a section on the side where a mural is located, titled Hollywood Jazz. Front of the building. Here's a picture of the real building: I'm new here, so if I did anything wrong I'm sorry Please give feedback, I always like to improve.
  13. I'm almost finished with my entry. This was a fun contest and I'm pretty pleased with my entry.

The design of this is well done. I especially like the design of the rocks, and the way the building sits on top of them. The size is nice, not too big but not too small, and the small details make this a really good build.

Very nice! The color palette works very well, and the different colors compliment each other nicely. The texture on the building along with the colors really make the building look like an old-time modular building.
