Hi all, Long time no see as Ive been busy with other things. I have made a number of additions & improvements since last time. I built my own Lego house using a bucket of bricks I found from when I was 5 I bought a few small sets, 7235 Police MC, 7241 Fire Car, 7281 Curved & T - Junction Roadplates, 7566 Farmer, 7634 Tractor, 7639 Camper, 8401 City Minifigure Collection, 30011 Police Dinghy, 30012 Microlight, 620 Blue building plate, 626 Green Building Plate, 5899 House building Set. My link It is a bit of an odd town at the moment but it will grow and improve. My link My link The bustling town with Shoppers, Business people and Criminals! My link The House and its garden, with vegtables, Dogs, Dog Food and the Lady of the House. I built this with a very limited supply of old bricks and leftover pieces from new sets so it wont be perfect! Note: the 1x1 sloped tiles at the side of the patio are meant to be door stoppers! My link Side of House with their Camper parked up and they even have a little farming area at the back. With tractor, Pig and Farmer! I created a little garden veranda out onto the water. The blue slopes are my attempt at showing waves hitting the walls. My link I also bought 3221 Lego Truck. However there is no room for it in the town at the moment so it has to stay on the floor! I have recentley ordered the City Pig Farm, Front Loader & 4WD with Horse ( In the S@H sale) However they are in my friends house in England for the moment but ill have them later in the summer. I must get a much bigger board or table for my City. Hopefully if I get a job soon I can then buy all the big sets! Comments & Criticisms Welcome!
  4. Hi all, As I mentioned in other posts my 18th birthday was recently and I have received two gifts that I dont require. I got 2 emerald nights and I dont have any interest in Star Wars. It was a very generous gift from my Godparents and I wouldnt like to ask them for the details to return it. I am therefore selling these 2 sets. I will sell them at their Ireland Prices of Death Star: 430euro and Emerald Night: 90 euro. I actually might give a discount on the Death Star depending on the offer made. PM me at KIERAN2400@yahoo.ie
  5. I hope they will be avialble in Europe, Maybe they might come with the UK/ROI Daily Mirror Offer in october?
  6. Yeah, I think I'll probaly go with the new battery box alright, its much neater looking.

Souns like a great set, Cant wait to get my own set some time in the future! I didnt see the instructions to motorize it in the instructions, or did I just miss them? Anyone tried motorizing it yet?
  10. The cost of the rechargeable box is just too much I think. The AAA Battery box is a much better idea. Although isnt that dear enoughb too, It is much dearer then the AA box and I dont know why?
  11. Hi all, I have the 10132 Hogwarst Express motorized with Power Functions. I use the AA Power Functions battery box. It isnt the easiest to use but It works grand. I made no modifications to the engine itself. However I removed the inside of the coal car and the battery box slipped in grand. I put the receiver at the back of the engine. I run the wire from the receiver down the side of the engine. At least the wire isnt very visible. Now trhe wire from the battery box to the receiver does look unsightly. Maybe the new AAA Battery box will help some bit but Im not sure. Any thoughts or opinions on this? Does any one here do something different/better? Photos here:

Thanks Brickyrob for your comments. Well I plan to buy the Grand Emporium by the end of the year. I will also buy Roadplates & other small accessories to create a park perhaps. I am also very interested in the public transport set, I would love to have that tram running around on embedded lego train track. I will also get a good few small lego city sets.
  13. Hi all, Think I will register for the train forum. Well I started with Lego Trains in 2004 when I was an avid Harry Potter collector and got the motorized Hogwarts Express. I had previously had the 4708 Hogwarts Express but Id no track or motors. I was actually 11 at the time and I had really planned out my system, I bought switching track & curved rails to create a loop on the layout, I bought the pack of train windows so the old hogwarts express carraige would have glass panes in it like the new carraige and the train accessory pack to put proper wheels on the 4708! I loved it so much I bought more straight & curved rails & A cross track to expand my layout. I fell into my dark ages for a few years and then I returned to Lego in late 2008. I started by changing the train to the power functions system. ( My train is out in a shed so I didnt have much options). Last year then I was delighted when I found the diamond crossing in a shop in Belfast & added it to my layout. I also bought last year, switching tracks & the new Level Crossing. This year for my 18th birthday I bought the emerald night & the new 7499 track pack. I made a whole new layout susequently. I did not motorize the emerald night as at the time 80002 was not avilable and I find the recahrageable far too dear. I will motorize it later in the year though. I may also buy the cargo train and further expand the layout. My layout is simple and basic. It is nothing like some of the amazing layouts I have seen on here. But you never know, through time... Hi all, Delighted to strat sharing the enjoyment of lego with you all! I have been a lego fan for many years (As described in my first post for new members) but it was only this year When I started collecting the modulars I decided to start a lego town. Now it is very small and really it is just made up of 2 modulars and some small city sets. But I guess its a start. It will be expanded as funds permit! Pics start here, theres also a photo from my Christmas layout 2010!:
  15. Hi all, Ive just turned 18 and joined this forum! Ive been reading it for the past 2 years and it is a BRILLIANT website to discuss Lego. I live in the Republic of Ireland. I entered my dark ages in 2006 but returned to lego in late 2008 when I saw the Technic bulldozer, then I was mad into technic for about two years however last year I started broadning out into other areas and now I collect: Lego Harry Potter,Trains,Town,Technic and exclusives.
