  1. I'll be honest, TLG cars are high quality. The Porsche was crazy cool when it came out, I built it and was completely impressed by it. The Sian also, it's a phenomenal car, and I do believe that some things could be changed based on personal preference, but remember that the mother company need to approve the design. If they are happy then it is good enough. Also with MOCs it's always a lottery, even by same designer. If you overcomplicate things and make some crazy mechanisms, yeah it's cool, but only when it works. You can't expect for Lego to make super complex things, as reliability is more important to them than to a random 1:8 MOCer. I am not saying that MOCs are bad, but they are different to sets, as it should be, and for yourself, just buy what you want. Lego will sell, 3rd party companies will sell. So who cares really :)?
  2. Looks good! Did you notice any performance differences between the two systems?
  3. Superb build! I like how you made the suspension work, the gearbox and overall compactness. These types of build feel very satisfying.
  4. This contest will be lots of fun! I already have some awesome ideas in mind. Just one question, is Buwizz controller allowed?
  5. Only upgrade I would make to this, would be custom real working screens for the bus number and information thingy. That would elevate this beautiful MOC to the next level!
  6. This build is incredible, almost diecast level. Very well done! It deserves to be front paged.
  7. Yeah. I don't know exactly the names of the buttons, but the right trigger finger 1 (controller) works on right trigger finger 2 in the app. I usually when build a new model (new profile) I spend 30-50 minutes to make the steering calibration work. It sometimes doesn't work (switch the ports then), sometimes it doesn't center, sometimes it's too aggressive ( this can be changed in steering module settings, at the bottom. There are 3 presets for heavy-med-light, it's worth experimenting with these). I seem to not get that many lost connections, only rarely. It's bluetooth after all.
  8. I am using an Ipega PG 9217 and it works really good with it, even though the app is not made for that controller shape (I guess the buttons and joystick have the same codes). Some of the controller buttons don't match the app, but they all work.
  9. Yeah, with those wheels and old buggy motors, you're asking for it really. The old motors are quite inefficient compared to BW ones. 3.0 unit and BW motors works really good, and you should not have any problems with such a big model. The 2.0 unit, in my experience works best in mini racers, trains, mini trial trucks, etc... It is just much worse than the 3.0 for powering big models (unless you use PF motors for drive, which it can comfortably power)
  10. It depends a lot on the model you make. Big tyres, direct drive will with buwizz motor will cause a very fast overload of the motors and quick shutdown. In my experience, you can direct drive 1 buwizz motor with 50 mm wheels, and two with 60-70mm. Anything more you need gear reduction....
  11. This set looks mid, and I think that most community alternate models will look better than it. But I'm still getting one :)
  12. It's a tie for me, 9398 for the playability, 42069 because it is just awesome, Sian was also incredibly good. Can't really pick only one.
  13. Very clean build, congratulations! Maybe we will see this beauty at Buwizzcamp 👀....
  14. Awesome build! It would look amazing during an expo.
  15. Sweet build! One thing I would do, is add black soft axles to the canopy, just to hint at the curved shape.
  16. Looks so much worse than the lime version, but at least we get a lot useful recolors.
  17. Awesome build Pufarine! Good to see more romanians here :)
