  1. The nose section looks so elegant compared to the official set. This is the most complicated MOD of an UCS set I've seen yet. Amazing job! I wasn't satisfied with the official set, but it was a goog improvement of the previosus version, so I bought it. I will definitely build these modifications in the future to bring the model in almost perfect shape.
  2. It's been 2 years, since we moved to our new house and the LEGO room is progressing nicely. I've rebuild almost every disassembled UCS sets, so the time is near to put the Tantive IV together... I hope, that someone could figure out a solution for stabilizing the engines untill then or maybe I'll try to do something on my own.
  3. Mine was the 7121 Naboo Swamp from 1999. I remember, there was a big hype around the first prequel movie... After that, I moved on to the UCS TIE Interceptor!
  4. Nice additions above! Has anyone solved the problem with exposed studs under the canopy? It is my biggest issue with this set. I haven't built it yet, but I'm interested in to replace those plates for tile. Do you think it's possible by keeping the stability?
  5. Hi Everyone, My model has been standing for a year on the top of the wardrobe, but it was time to store it somewhere else. It was very difficult to remove the dust from it, I could't reach some areas from below and was afraid of to brake the engines easily (despite of some strenghtening). After moving to my new appartment, the stabilizing of the engines will be on my list. It will last for a few months, because I'm quite busy now. You can see here, how the middle engines are tilted upwards due their on weight after one year. I'd like to fix this issue somehow. 5A54F0BC-2B55-4EAE-8E52-762E56257F8E by Gyula Herr, on Flickr
  6. Awesome, how far you guys went with the interior design! They add so much extra features to the Falcon. How do these MODs influence the stability of the ship?
  7. Hi, I think you've done the best solution to reproduce the Marshal Banana's version and be more accurate to the reference pictures! Great job! I like it a lot!
  8. Yes, it is yours! Great design, thanks for sharing!
  9. This a a funny scene, because they've used only a backround, instead of a real Falcon model. It's a well detailed artwork, it's hard to notice that i'ts only a poster. About the design: it's not my idea, I've just copied it, but unfortunately I can't name the creator...
  10. I've posted my Falcon for inspiration. I don't think that this old docking ring design fits less to the 2nd edition of the MF. It looks very similar to your last reference picture. I can't see any curved lines inside the ring, so I find the 3L bar more accurate in that location. You're right, that it's hard to find a good reference, I've just looked the Bandai model, it's very detailed. 50654039716_2a219614fb_o másolat by Gyula Herr, on Flickr I've used this guide to build the rings. You can see here, how the tiles are attached. As I've mentioned before, it is quite fragile, but this way you can face the tiles to center a little. 45962749322_0fb4deaf83_o by Gyula Herr, on Flickr I'm following how your new design progressing. I can say in the name of many members, that we welcome any better solutions, especially in terms of sturdyness! I think you are on a good way! Keep going!
  11. Kit's version is microfig scale. Interior was build only for play features, but it's not in the right scale.
  12. Hi, Here's my docking ring. It's not my own idea, there were some post about the structure at the beginning of this thread. I'm very satisfied with it. There is little tension at the main connection and it's quite fragile, but it does its job. I've made it about a year ago, and since then there was no problem with it, even in this tilted position. 13. This is a perfect addition to the new Black Seas Barracuda ship! I will definitely build it someday!
  14. Nice! But where are the studs???
  15. It's a great MOD, which looks much better than one of the factory model. For some critics: there is too much gap between the outer side of the ring and the panels and I'm missing the red and brown colours from it, but I don't have any suggestion, how to solve them. Anyway, nice job! 337577_big másolat by Gyula Herr, on Flickr 401406_big másolat by Gyula Herr, on Flickr
