LEGO Star Wars 2025 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Clone Bros are the only people eating well this year, and yet they absolutely will still have the gall to complain about how TLG hates the prequel era and how persecuted they are Dedra isn‘t even in the ground yet and you‘re already going after someone else?? Tsk tsk

LEGO Star Wars 2025 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Sure, but I was still hoping for a regular set this year Welp, at least there‘s the Night Trooper BP to represent that era! Since we should keep expectations low for the remaining two sets, I‘m expecting either buildable figures or unnecessary remakes. Or both

LEGO Star Wars 2025 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Maybe we all underestimated how well Clone sets are selling because this is utter madness When was the last time a subtheme was this dominant? I'm pretty disappointed so far, not gonna lie. Not even a single Mando playset? The 2HY sets were supposed to save this year, as they've done the last coupla years! That said, one of my most-wanted minifigs is finally getting made (TROS Senate) and if Bly & Bacara show up, they're nothing to scoff at either. Plus the CIS MTT and UT-AT aren't remakes, so that's nice to see as well! And even the remakes are welcome in my book (V-19, U-Wing). The Night Trooper BP is also a highlight for me, especially if Enoch is included! The budget for new pieces has to go somewhere. 2025 overall still has good chances to dethrone 2024 for me (and that's saying something), but definitely not thanks to SW, unless the remaining sets cater to me specifically Other themes are doing the heavy lifting here

Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
I think @Coryo meant where the idea of a SM2-based book nook set came from, which is indeed a random conclusion to jump to

Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
I know. I wasn‘t saying any of those will get book nooks, my point was that there are quite a few (sub)themes based on book adaptations, if you bend the rules enough We also have Jurassic Park, Dune, and others, but I fully agree that most of the adaptations the sets are based on have next to nothing to do with the books. HP & LOTR are indeed the only direct ones And arguably the first JP. Most of them, but there are exceptions like Winnie the Pooh and Hunchback. And not to be pedantic, but most of the fairy tales were published as books

LEGO Star Wars 2025 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Fingers crossed the recent Gold Leader hint has nothing to do with Enoch. I know, I know, putting named characters in battle packs isn‘t a popular idea (and for valid reasons), but it‘s our best shot at getting an Enoch minifig anytime soon He also might have different armour when we see him again in either S2 of Ahsoka or Filonie‘s movie, so now would be a good time

Lego Minecraft 2023, leaks, rumors and discussion
Minecraft not only gets its first AC this year, but also an encyclopedia! The exclusive minifig pretty much has to be a new player skin! Fingers crossed for something creative like a skin based on the classic red-shirt blue-pants smiley minifig

DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
…I forgot he even was in the movie I would like to see a minifig of his (and Doctor Fate), but what chance do they stand when even Robin is too much to ask for?! The hierachy of power in the LEGO DC theme is about to stay the same.

Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Twilight, 007, and a metric ton of Disney movies! But you‘re right, if they limit them to book adaptations they‘ll run out of options quickly. Is this gonna be the new „what if [anticipated set] is microscale??“ A SM2 book nook would be super random. Fingers crossed for a whole wave of Raimi sets! Can‘t be a coincidence we‘re seeing this in the same year as the Spiderverse set and CMF series. I don‘t give a **** about the (hopefully) deceased Spider-man-less Sony Spidey cinematic universe, but sets based on all the other Sony Spidey movies are a dream come true!
-
Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Indeed. The two book nook sets we know of are based on movie adaptions of books, appropriately enough, which Spider-man 2 isn‘t (unless you count comics are books, but nobody would call SM2 a book adaptation)

Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
He does!! Wow, modern Raimi sets would be a dream come true! Fingers crossed!!

Is that a hint towards Spider-man 2? Or the first Cap?

DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Arkham being based on the game series isn‘t impossible, but the timing would be kinda strange. Don‘t get me wrong, the games are classics, but why now? Especially after Rocksteady lost a lot of favour among fans Granted, the same could be said for most of the movie-based sets.

Hope my comment didn‘t come across as offensive, I was just poking fun at Renown‘s explanation for last year‘s 1984 hint (which he jokingly claimed was a result of getting drunk)

Lego Minecraft 2023, leaks, rumors and discussion
More news on the March wave, courtesy of @Lego_Minecraft_Goat: 21272 Woodland Mansion (movie set), 491 pcs, $49.99 21273 Ghast Balloon (movie set), 555 pcs, $69.99 21282 The Parrot Houses, 535 pcs, $69.99 Quite ironic that we finally get the long-request woodland mansion, but as a movie-based set. Hopefully the design will be close enough to work as a representation of the in-game structure as well! The Ghast Balloon makes sense, given the appearance il the trailer And more mob houses are always welcome! Since the parrot set seems to include at least two houses based on the name, I think it‘s save to assume there‘ll finally also be some parrot recolours of the parrot piece

Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion
Huh, I wasn‘t even aware of the issue with brown pieces until now! Luckily, I was already in my 20s when the sets got released so they‘re all in good condition Still gotta inspect them tho! The only issue I had with brittle plastic was with the Z-95 Headhunter, also from 2013. I dropped that a couple of years ago and some of the dark red pieces shattered as a result. Hope that‘s a thing of the past!

Maybe @Renown got drunk again and this isn‘t a hint, he‘s just mourning

Disney Properties 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Love the set! Interesting choice to use the dreamling piece for the doll If only it included Jumba and Pleakley, but at least they could still feature them in another set if this one does well!
-
Disney Properties 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Funnily enough, he‘s one of the few examples of a fictional character working for CPS who‘s portrayed as sympathetic Sounds like the set will include a lot of references and easter eggs, just like it‘s spiritual precursor, the Up house!

DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
True, but so far all LEGO tie-in sets were at least somewhat related to the movies. Arguably the biggest outlier has been the aforementioned NWH wave, and even then they clearly marked on the box what two of the sets were inspired by and the third one at least featured the movie costumes and a relevant location (albeit with creative liberties). Announcing movie tie-in products only to then release a small comic-inspired set is entirely unprecedented. Yeah, we were warned, but it‘s still a silly notion they‘d simply skip a highly anticipated movie like that, but here we are I suppose it’s because previous risks hadn‘t paid off, but it‘s still gobsmacking to me they‘d invest a ton of money into themes like Angry Birds, Trolls, Minions, Gabby etc. but not into Soup, which wouldn‘t even really require any new pieces. A Soup movie should not be seen as riskier than any of the above.

DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
2013 was when the superheroes themes peaked with that set along with the Mandarin’s flaming golfkart of doooooom Fair point. The more annoying issue is that WB/DC don‘t seem to care, as evidenced by that stupid press release tricking us into thinking we‘d get sets
-
DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
Good one All that‘s missing is a jar of Granny‘s peach tea. Side note, the Soup teaser has broken quite a few records, I‘ve heard. Someone at TLG might start to think they bet on the be wrong horse by skipping the movie, unless they‘re really banking on the mech set becoming super popular Part of me is still hoping for sets at a later point (if the movie does well), but they‘ve never before outright skipped a movie only to release tie-in sets after the fact. Not impossible, but unprecedented. Even with No Way Home, they still at least had one set somewhat based on the movie on shelves when the movie got released, with proper sets being made later-on.

LEGO Star Wars 2024 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!
Yeah, that‘d be much better than yet another one based on the Battle of Kashyyyk! Still no clue how they‘re gonna do it at that price point. Since it’s a 7+ set rumoured to have minifigs, it can‘t be part of the midiscale collection and it‘s too large for a new gimmicky microfighter-style subtheme
-
Marvel Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
I get why the Endgame final battle has so many sets based on it, but could they at least TRY to include some new characters (or variants)? Kraglin for instance is right there!! Or a Chitauri gorilla. Still hoping for a new helmet piece for Thanos at least, but that‘s probably in vain since the leaked description doesn‘t mention it (and it does mention Hulk‘s helmet in the other set)

Wizarding World 2025 - Rumors & Discussion
The polybag isn‘t much to write home about, but it has some nice parts at least! Poor Ron though. Will he ever appear in a polybag?!
