Hey, that's an interesting topic. When I started out I was using an old Canon powershot camera. Over the years I updated my gear and now I'm using a canon sl1 with a bunch of old nikkor lenses. For capturing I use Dragonframe and Davinci Resolve for editing (which is free and really awesome). But I think what really matters is the story that you're trying to tell. Professional gear is nice but worthless if your story doesn't work.

That would be much apprechiated too :)

I've recently made a recreation of the famous Intro of the german TV series "Tatort". This is an amazing Brickfilm and the story has a deep meaning. How did you get the idea for it?

Some Brickfilmers I quite enjoy (no specific order) : Brotherhood Workshop (the one who brought me into animating) Something's Awry Productions (love his choppy animation style) Forrestfire101 (sometimes a bit violent but a filmmaking genius) Fancypants (best comedian) Dylan Woodley (awesome Lego effects) Paganomation (speedbuild effect king) Forlorn Creature (He animates at 12.5 fps but it looks super smooth) Pantsahat (amazing set design) This is just my personal opinion but I think every Brickfilmer has something special
