Super Mario...Thank you!
You have brought back the simplicity of play and imagination and rekindled the joy of interacting with LEGO sets instead of just building and displaying. What a great theme of colorful happy sets!

10246 Detective's Office
This is another winner from TLG. I like both the pool hall and detective agency for locations. Its nice that they are unique and will fit well in LEGO City. Ironic that they are justifying the annual police releases with an organized crime smuggling operation through an Expert release ;) Maybe we do need all those police! Very cleaver details and overall feel to the set. I will be adding this to my growing modular collection.

Review: Lego 10244 Fairground Mixer - Creator Series
Nice overview. Like many others I was not impressed with this set but after seeing the reviews changed my mind. The number of minifigures is a big plus but without a doubt the big sell are the folding and operation features. The scale of the set (truck) compared to City was a big holdback but how often are we going to see LEGO release a fresh themed fairground set that is transportable and can fit in an city layout even if the truck is a bit oversized? Why was I apprehensive to begin with Great job LEGO

Favorite Winter Village set?
My favorite is the post office. I like the design of the building with its round windows and authentic old tyme business feel. It is also the only post office I have in my LEGOLAND! The postal truck, ice hanging off the roof, and band under the gazebo are all details that capture the feel of the winter collection. Granted the roof didn't fit with the bakery and toy shop when it was released but now that doesn't seem to matter much with the super snow packed roof of the cottage and similarly bare market stall roofs. The cottage is a great set and a close second though I feel like it is a bit big for the series. The detail inside is incredible and the set is very worth the price. Like many others have said the market just doesn't quite cut it compared to the others. I like the amount of minifigures but it feels lacking overall for $100. If all LEGO themes were done in the same quality as the winter theme I would be broke. Even the less well received sets are extremely well done and capture the essence of LEGO building and creativity.

Modular City layout
What a great layout. I like to see all the details like the Lady Liberty fountain and the butcher trying to coax a dog out of the pet shop with a big ole T-bone The subway is a clever addition too. The modified pet store and townhouse are very impressive. Are they fully furnished interiors? Nice work!

2014 City Sets - Rumours and Discussion
A convenience store hold up. Perfect idea! We get an updated gas station, some great food pieces, and the kids can get the action packed police and robbers The LEGO group gets to sell the set to AFOLs and KFOLs alike

Brixton - My Lego Town
A very nice layout. I like the mix of new modular and classic town sets. A colorful blend of plastic happiness. The YouTube videos are addicting too! Top notch. In regards to the weather issue, there was extensive discussion here: http://www.eurobrick...showtopic=20408

10233 Horizon Express
LEGO really knocked this one out of the park! Great set at a great price. This will be an iconic train for years to come. Now if they can match this with a modular style station...

REVIEW: 6267 - Lagoon Lock-Up
Another fantastic review and classic set. Maybe Captain Redbeard is the most common minifig because he sails into a fortified lagoon with a bright red and white sailboat and nothing but a pistol Quantity has a quality all its own...

REVIEW: 6259 - Broadside's Brig
Great review! Love the alternate models...something I miss with modern sets. This set is a good example of the best features of Classic Pirates - bright colors, a very tropical feel, useable parts for customized forts and bases, and all for under $10. Can't go wrong with multiples either.

REVIEW: 10222 Winter Village Post Office
Excellent review of a fantastic set and theme. I can't wait to build this one and have it setup over Christmas. You know LEGO is doing something right when the wife happily agrees to a holiday display The only disappointment is the price this year. I hope LEGO keeps the winter theme strong and fresh for many years.

REVIEW: 5644 Chicken Coop
Nice to see Duplo get some attention! I have always liked the special printed blocks Duplo has. The golden eggs carry on that legacy. Cool little set and a great review.

REVIEW: 4195 Queen Anne's Revenge
Fantastic review. I am going to pass on the set as it is expensive and I find the ship too dark to assimilate with my classic pirates. Nice to see they are including shooting again.

REVIEW: 4181 Isla De Muerta
Here is a photo with the new pearl coins. The coins on the left are some old classic pirate treasure from the 90s. All the new coins have printed 10s on one side and LEGO on the other.

REVIEW: 4181 Isla De Muerta
Great review. I think the minifig accessories are great. I love the sword sheaths, printed compass, and hats. My set also came with the new pearl gold coins that were not attached and all have 10 printed on them. At the very least the new design should have mimicked the cursed Aztec gold design from the movie. Disappointing as I like the classic pirate gold much better. The selling point for the set is the minifigures.
