  1. Great idea. I’d like to see the complex of CC and the circular C1. Didn’t even occur to me though as I think tennis is still regarded as a more elitist/affluent sport rather than football/soccer which appeals to a much wider demographic.
  2. No brainer. Buy it. Worst case scenario you can flip it for a few extra hundred. Then either wait for Gardens (will be available for 6-12 months) or sell Diagon Alley (which from what I’ve read, isn’t all that) although I’m biased as zero interest in HP.
  3. Good shout. One of the most underrated and best value sets from TLNM theme (overshadowed by all the Shark Army and Ninja vehicles). Still have it on display and yes, it’s corner perspective gives an awkward width which added to its height, make it almost impossible to relocate.
  4. Forgot to update but mine eventually arrived last Tuesday 19th. Box itself wasn’t in great condition, couple of creased dents and an actual tiny hole, despite the outer brown shipping box being perfect. TLG warehouse QC clearly isn’t up to scratch these days.
  5. I completely agree with the lots of unnecessary extra landscaping small parts to add “detail”, but on the other hand, keeping the footprint small is not a bad thing these days especially when shelf space is a major consideration. Of course, sets like Scorpion Palace were fantastic at adding scale using larger parts whilst keeping the piece count down, but this approach is rarely seen in today’s Lego designs unfortunately.
  6. I’d like to see an update to the classic octopus.
  7. Maybe but there’s been 2 or 3 at least that made the 10k review stage including the Planet Express last year. If the rejections were due to a conflict in the works, I feel it would have been happened by now.
  8. Glad I wasn’t the only one who thought that!
  9. Saw this rumour repeated on IG. Seems a strange one as Central Perk was marked down on sale everywhere for the last few months and still lots of them shelfwarming in these parts along with a shedload of other licensed Friends “gifts”. Not surprising given the show isn’t one you’d normally associate with the interest of your typical AFOLs. If there’s another set in the works, I guess it can only be Monica’s apartment. Still grates that no Futurama set has made it through IDEAS, when we’ve had 2 large Simpsons sets and 2 CMF series.
  10. Because unbelievably that’s many people’s main or even only reference to the subject. Visiting the museum in Belfast (excellent by the way) the stuff you overhear from tourists (“but in the movie...” etc) just makes you shake your head in despair. Whilst I’m curious to see an official set, I just wouldn’t buy it out of personal preference.
  11. Are you all mad? No way they’d include the iceberg (what would that even look like?!) It’s in poor taste for an already controversial set. Look what happened with Jabba’s Palace.
  12. Thought did cross my mind (Fenway, which would then lead to Anfield) but it’s very niche sport other than US and maybe Japan. Limits sales. Then again, OT isn’t exactly iconic by any standards and a crumbling wreck, so who knows.
  13. Not to forget the new panda Brickheadz set... Not my first choice of black and white animal but enough about that orca
  14. Comfortable isn’t the word I’d use. It won’t be anywhere near Colosseum big though, as @Vilhelm22 suggested, it’ll be Maersk-sized and priced accordingly.
  15. Years later I still kick myself for not grabbing the last Maersk instore... Anyway, whilst this definitely sounds an interesting build at this scale and the subject is fascinating (even more when I have family links), I’m not sure I’d personally want to display a model of a ship in which 1500 people lost their lives.
  16. Not quite in hand yet but love the micro Temple of Airjitzu and also in general, the massive koi in clownfish livery.
  17. SL arrived this morning (as suspected the sender address was given as LEGO, Geel, Belgium) and had email confirming delivery of NG on Friday. Both were release day buys, although SL was a back order.

Like a fly at a window pane.
  19. Belated thanks for the earlier photoshop, and yes, I really like the lighter “wood” base as you’ve built for real. Not a fan of the “poofy” look though sorry, looks more like a normal tree (one you could stick that new awful Winnie the Pooh minifig under) than a cultured layered bonsai. Especially love the alien bog plant in the instructions and have also grabbed a load of different coloured leaf elements (including pearl gold palms) with the idea being to swap out design every season. Currently sporting the 100 pink frogs of Sakura, yes I know it’s a couple of months early, but can’t help craving beauty and nature these days.
  20. Seems there’s probably a shipping hub somewhere in Benelux? I’ve discovered a new found patience these days, what with work, kids, and literally everything taking a lot longer to deliver. Got Spring Lantern and NG in a race (more tortoise than hare) to see who will be delivered first. It’ll be a nice surprise if one lands before the weekend.
