  1. Thought some of you might find this interesting. https://www.thebrickfan.com/possible-way-of-figuring-out-lego-marvel-studios-collectible-minifigures-series-2-71039-characters/?fbclid=IwAR2a-5Z74RHSQjdiOPPwrhi-03bHDEgJANxU-qqQK_qvod4vumRRb2O5s4E I was so hopeful when I read this article until I read the comments. I know some others were talking about the codes here a couple of days ago, and yeah looks like it doesn't actually relate to the figure inside.
  2. Another great moc! I find it interesting that this seems to be a very similar size to Lego's minifigure-scale shuttles.
  3. My dream list of sets would be a classic interior (don't mind which one), 9/10's interior and then maybe whatever the current interior is. Ideally I'd like Capaldi's interior, but given the Ideas set, I don't think we would see much from Smith/Capaldi. Then a CMF series with 11,12,13,14, Martha, Donna, Cyberman, Weeping Angel, Missy, Riversong, then maybe a couple of the classic doctors, depending on which ones aren't included in the classic interior set. But in all likelihood, we'd probably only get one set to start off with. Lets hope RTD has got something in the works. Edit: This video from Brickfanatics addresses the cmf 'Space' rumours. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LSJb55Ac8nE&ab_channel=BrickFanatics
  4. Wow, another brilliant model. Echoing the above comment, this one is also my favourite. Awesome build!
  5. Woah this looks fantastic! Love the use of the barrels on either side and the tessellation of all the angled parts. My little nitpick would be is it possible to make the two round black tiles at the back face up the same way as the other four for a more coherent look? Anyways, phenomenal moc of falcon!
  6. Absolutely fantastic! Really impressed you managed to pack so many functions into this build.
  7. Love the clever use of the Bionicle parts, amazing build!

This has been a really interesting read through, thank you for taking the time to craft such a well-written piece!
  9. Wow, brilliant! Love how clean it looks and how sharp some of those angles are!
  10. I think maybe buying a range of different sets may also help expand your creativity. For me, I've never seen the appeal of buildings and mainly focus on vehicles. That's why when building mocs, spaceships are so easy to do as you can build something quite small rather easily by just using some triangular plates etc. I think it's easy to forget that mocs do not have to be grand, refined structures. It is okay just to build one room of a building rather than a complete structure, most of us don't have the pieces to build much more than that unless you actively buy sets for the parts rather than to display
  11. My thoughts exactly! For some reason, I think the shaping looks better on the small-scale version... maybe because I've seen so many mocs around that size. If the smaller one didn't exist, I might be tempted to buy the UCS, but now it's an easy pass! Still really want those figures though...
  12. No, unfortunately. Although if that means it's less expensive, I'm all for it.
  13. I still think it will be 12 figures. I think by reducing the number of figures, they might be able to include printing on more surfaces/sides? As it seems like in the marvel series there was an unusually high amount of side arm/leg printing

Ooh I like the teal car! Nice work on the doors! The red pieces used for the rear lights really give it a distinctive feel as well

Not sure what car this is supposed to be, but it looks really cool!
  16. Personally, I'm hoping that the Joker comes in the cheaper Tumbler, so that younger fans will be able to get a TDK Joker without trying to convince their parents to buy them a ucs tumbler. It would seem like a mean decision to keep such an iconic character confined to two highly exclusive sets.
  17. Wow that's concerning news. I had entertained some notion of picking the set up if I managed to find it on clearance somewhere, but that won't be happening.
  18. Hah I swear I've never seen it on Australian shelves, and very rarely on retailer websites
  19. Great video. Never had any intention of buying the gunship, but I was curious about the doors and wow, even less accurate than I thought they were. Didn't realise they don't align with the angle on the back of the ship, so thank you for pointing that out.
  20. Seeing that the truck is so small, it looks rather hard to motorise. Anyhow, if you are using power functions then it would require 2 motors, a battery box, an IR receiver and a remote control.
  21. Welcome to the community! Wow, this is really good! Love the use of the Nexo shields to help convey some of that angular armour, and the clear stud/clip pieces for the lights is some nice part usage.
  22. I like the door mechanism! The different angles really helped
  23. I love this! The door mod is really well done. If only it was possible to do this for the 20th Anniversary set...
  24. Wow. This is incredible! (Or should I say cool ) The details that have gone into this thing are insane!! What type of lights did you use? Are they the power functions lights or...?
  25. Going off this, are elements always designed due to a need for a new part in a model, or does the design team sometimes create an improved or new element simply for the purpose of introducing fun new parts to a set or improving on what had come before?
