Bought the Badcop Pursuit set and 3 CMs (A 2nd Emmet, Badcop, and Calamity Jones). I had planned to buy Lord Business' Evil Lair as well, but it was sold out. They also gave me 5 posters for The Lego Movie (Batman, Benny, Wyldstyle, Emmet, and Lord Business) .

2013 for film was a pretty great year (more than 2012, in my opinion). My favorites, in no particular order: Gravity, 12 Years a Slave, Iron Man 3, Captain Phillips, Saving Mr. Banks, American Hustle, Frozen, Monsters University, Blue Jasmine, Catching Fire, The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, Despicable Me 2 Worst: Man of Steel, Smurfs 2, The Croods, After Earth, R.I.P.D, Jack the Giant Slayer

I disagree. PotC was a one-shot theme that only existed due to a single movie that no one really liked and faded from public memory rather quickly, whereas the Hobbit / LotR trilogies have been put back into the public's mind. Also, Pintel and Ragetti were very minor characters, and while Galadriel and the Witch-King of Angmar are also minor characters, they play a big role in advancing the plot of both trilogies (Galadriel sending Gandalf to the High Fells, then (apparently) leading a rescue and driving Sauron out of Dol Guldur, giving Frodo the Light of Ëarendil, convincing Elrond to send out the elves to help Rohan at Helm's Deep, and the Witch-King attacking Radagast, this starting the whole "Dol Guldur Affair", and killing Théoden, forcing Éowyn into action and her "big hero moment").

Great first review! I'll definitely get at least two copies of this set. Quick question, though. Could this set go on top of Barrel Escape (if you put some baseplates on top of the two arches with some support beams)?

Definitely Rohan Battle Pack. The Green Dragon is not even a minor location in the trilogy, and the LotR theme needs some more armies. -
Frozen. In my own opinion, the best Disney movie since "The Lion King".

It would be nice to get a Lake-Town Guard polybag. I'm rather annoyed that Beorn's head is a single piece. As for a 3rd LotR wave, the splitting of the two Hobbit films into three was announced July 2012. So two years is a good amount of time to design at least a Minas Tirith set, right? And the Lothorien location in the bonus level of the LotR game was next to Rivendell - which became a real set. So I'm hoping for a final 3rd LotR wave, or at least a Minas Tirith set.

The sets do look much better now. However, I'll probably just BL the minidolls and the animal buddies. Speaking of which ... Really, LEGO? You took out Sebastian in "Ariel's Magical Kiss"? The entire scene relies on a song sung by him!

Is the Ent in Orthanc Supposed to be Treebeard?

Yes, I think the Ent is Treebeard. The beard is what gives it away, and I don't think we'll get any other sets with Ents with them, so I believe it's Treebeard. -
I'm not a fan of these sets, but I like the mini dolls of the Princesses. I really want Disney Villain sets though .
