  1. Jestro's Lair is also $110 which is quite a discount.
  2. Awesome, thanks for the info.
  3. Hey Guys I'm planning on building my first MOC and love the tower/lighthouse style of building. So far I'm aware of 70594: The Lighthouse Siege 10237-1: Tower of Orthanc 7947: Prison Tower Rescue Are there any other similar sets I should look at/purchase? Thanks
  4. Sure, I'd hate to lose the traditional sets. What I had in my was a conceptual blend, which I think could sit alongside the classic sets everyone loves. A cyberpunk theme could be run alongside the City and Space theme without any real overlap. The more I think about it, I'd really love to see something like that. Blade Runner, The Matrix, Dark City, Ghost in the Shell, Neuromancer... So much to draw from. The girl from The Lego Movie was basically a cyberpunk protagonist anyway!
  5. When I first got back into Lego a few years ago and joined this forum, I remember a very similar topic being posted. I thought it would be absolutely AMAZING if Lego did a Horror/Halloween themed set. Of course, that would never happen... Some years later and wow, how amazing was Monster Hunters? And Scooby Doo!, close enough for me:) TLG seems to be constantly surprising me. Whenever my interest fades, something like The Simpsons gets announced. Or another run of Pirates. At this point it seems most of the genres and archetypes seem to be covered. Horror, action, fantasy, cities etc. I think Lego needs to dig a little deeper and start mixing genres. Perhaps mix the sci-fi and city themes and do some cyberpunk. Or a city/horror theme to do some Victorian era horror pieces. A gothic horror modular in the style of the monster hunter house would be awesome. I think kids are more sophisticated these days and are exposed to so many genres of fiction through games, movies and tv, some themes that may have been considered a complex could be a great hit. I think someone mentioned Fallout above, that would be a great idea. Bring the Western theme in,and add sci-fi and action elements. It could be amazing.
  6. Thanks for the tip. I actually went to a Big W yesterday and it was such a chore to just have someone do a stock check for the Simpsons sets. Bizare. The lady said it would be quite a "favour" just to have the manager access the computer system. Sigh. I feel like contacting head office and having a chat about the quality of the staff there (Midland in Perth).
  7. Hi Everyone I finally talked myself into picking up the Simpsons Lego sets. Are there any sales I should look out for, or should I just pick them up from Shop@ home?
  8. I had a surprisingly helpful experience at Myers when chasing the Sea Cow. It was out of stock at Myers Carousel, and every other Myers in WA. The lady offerred to check the stores in the eastern states. She located one and shipping was free for Myer One members. It arrived a couple of days ago perfectly packed, and in pristine condition. Wow So anyone chasing the still after the Sea Cow, maybe try Myers and ask them to check some of the interstate shops.
  9. Damn you Lego, but I have to buy every pirate ship...
  10. What do you think the sale price will be for the Simpsons House and Sea Cow? Its going to be an expensive month...
  11. After some kind assistance from the ladies at MIdland Kmart, I was able to locate a Haunted House set in Morley. They are not on the shelves and seem to keeping them in the back for some reason. They had a few from what I was told. So if anyone is still wants one keep trying. Try to avoid the floor staff as they aren't terribly informed about stock levels. The customer service people at the front of the store tend to be more helpful. Happy to get it for $169
  12. I wont give up the hunt then. I did the same thing with the Black Pearl. Kept putting it off, and am now sitting empty handed. Damn you Lego procrastination!
  13. So I finally talked myself into getting the Haunted Mansion set from Kmart. And... they have disappeared off the shleves. Belmont, Carousel, Wanneroo. So that's what I get for procrastinating.
  14. As said above, a neutral/merchant ship would be nice. I'd like more swashbuckling ladies too, how about a female captain? Other than that, I'd be so desperate for anything pirate related I'd be happy with anything really!
  15. Grabbed the LOTR ship for around $111 from Myers. One left at Carousel if anyone else is interested.
