Don't worry, this is just the Internet where a loud minority of negative people gets most of the attention. All larger Lego sets gets over analyzed and most often also heavily criticized initially no matter how amazing they are, especially on these forums. We have never had a gigantic USC-like brick build dinosaur before, or any other large animal/monster for that matter. I think that alone is much more interesting than just another vehicle or building. I don't see the appeal of a visitor center as it will be off scale and full of compromises in order to keep the price reasonable (e.g. see cloud city from last year). It would also overlap with the JP set from last year. Anyway, this set is a day 1 purchase for me, and hopefully a JP car will be released next year perhaps together with a gigantic brick build Triceratops. One can hope.

I think this is awesome! A giant brick build t-rex! I have suffered from severe Lego fatigue since the USC falcon, but this has just pulled me right back in. Would have been nice with the iconic Jurassic park car as well. Hopefully they will make one later. One nitpick would be the color scheme. I always think of the t-rex as more of a blue/gray color, but that is probably because most scenes in the film are in the dark.

Easy pass for me. Looks simplistic, unfinished and not up to the standards we have gotten used to for newer sets. Kinda happy this is not amazing considering the spending spree I have been on in the last couple of years. The price is also way off.

These sets are also the only ones showing in Denmark/Norway at the moment (with release June 1). So do not panic just yet.

It is also very nice to see the astromech droid sitting in a 4-stud wide position, as opposed to previous versions.

I noticed this too. I believe it was done on purpose. It is one of the many very subtle details you are likely to only notice if you build the model yourself.

It is after midnight in Europe now and the new Y-wing is now available at the online shop. I did not expect it to go live before tomorrow morning like with the UCS falcon. Just ordered mine!

To be honest the cloud cars are not that memorable, and they are only shown in a few brief scenes. In a potential UCS style cloud city I would prefer they focus on a large structure that has a nice interior as well as a nice exterior instead of small vehicles they might as well release as separate small sets. If Lego wants to include too many things in one set the compromise in piece count/price and looks suffers too much.

I wonder how well the Old Fishing Store has been selling. It was a great set, and I would love to see any of these other seaside buildings as an official set. However, if the Old Fishing Store was a financial failure it is unlikely Lego would make another similar big set in this theme.

At first glance I thought it looked a bit plain, but after a closer inspection I actually quite like the theme it has going. This is basically Grease in Lego form. I did not care for Assembly Square, but this is much more fun. Depending what else 2018 has in store there is a good chance I will pick this one up.

I contacted costumer service again. Now they say they expect to have my falcon in stock on October 11. Last week I was told "early November", so that was good news!

I was told by customer service that my backorder was expected to ship in early November. There won't be any sets for 1st of October and if you didn't manage to place an order on the 14th, it is going to be difficult to get this set in 2017.

I managed to place an order around 9.00 on the 14th with express shipping, which shows as "back order". I just got a reply from Lego customer service saying they expect shipping on early November 2017. I hope that is a very conservative estimate on their part... Otherwise, if you have not already got one on "back order" it may be close to impossible to even get one in 2017!
