  1. I have bought a box of Olympics figs and should have 5 spare sets to trade. Can also get more if needed. I am looking to swap for poly bags - friends, monster fighters and marvel dc heroes. PM if interested.
  2. If you go for the mailaway option of sending seven tokens, you also have to send a cheque for £6.50 - sort of takes the "free" out of it a bit but still a good deal. In total there are 5 figures and probably a few hundred pieces - all for about £10 in total. Less if you buy the mirror anyway (or know someone who does ).
  3. I was in TRU in Belfast last night and they have put some of the SW sets up from £39.99 to £49.99 - they included Hoth Base, Jedi Starfighter and Hyperdrive and one other which I can't remember..... Don't know if anyone noticed but the Clone Wars Spider Droid was out on day one at £19.99 and has now gone to £24.99.

My little Boba Dude arrived today. Very cool - my numbers were in the 700's, so no sign of chase heads.....
  5. Dust is a pain, but one slightly quicker way is to vacuum. Now don't be going a grabbing the dyson and running it over the Hoth Base just yet - if you can get one of those tiny battery vacuums for cleaning a computer keyboard, they can be quite effective. The suction is pretty weak/non-existent, but if you poke around the bricks, the dust dislodges with the brush and it gets sucked up. I got one as a Christmas Present a few years ago and thought it was competely useless until I discovered this alternative use! *y* This kind of thing http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/USB-Mini-Notebook-Ke...1QQcmdZViewItem but they have gone all USB since I got mine, so you would have to get an extension or drag the lego to the PC/laptop to the lego! EDIT: I do not endorse the above ebayer - it was the first one I found on a search......
  6. http://www.google.co.uk/ Cool? If someone more technical than me can insert the picture it would be much appreciated (plus the page will probably expire.....).
  7. Please add "emilec" to the SS list as we have just had a successful transaction. Thanks
  8. I am cleaning a 7191 UCS X-wing to restore to as near a new condition as possible. The pieces are in decent shape, but I was wondering if anyone has any tips on cleaning them? The white pieces are the ones which need most attention. Can anyone recommend a safe cleaning product? On the white pieces has anyone ever tried bleaching? I could replace all the white pieces with new, but I want to keep the cost down as much as possible. Thanks for any help in advance.
  9. Is there not one of these "half price" deals every year? Last year the Heavy Hauler was half price all year and in 2006 it was the Fireboat? Not sure, but it looks like the seaplane is the "half price" this time round - it isn't on s@h yet. As for Argos - my only warning is the condition of what you get. If you want to keep it MISB or you want to at least keep a good condition empty box, forget about Argos. The stuff gets thrown around the stock room like mad. I bought the ATST UCS recently and the box was burst open and I had to ask them to note on the receipt that it was opened in case when I built it there were bags of pieces missing (fortunately there weren't). At least when you see the items in TRU or woolies you can pick a decent box if necessary.

Surely the next UCS OT set has to be the Shuttle Tyderium - we have had the minifig version released twice (on its own and in imperial inspection) so the time must be now for the UCS!! I would imagine if the UCS version were done correctly then minifigures would probably look just right in the cockpit. Remember in the movie the cockpit holds Leia, Han, Luke, Chewie and the 2 droids..... Slave 1 would be nice, but I think this would just look better and avoid TLC the difficulty of the "curves" on Slave 1.
  11. As far as I know, starwarsshop.com will ship internationally - haven't used them before, but if the postage isn't bad then it may be cheaper than
  12. I am looking for the following sets: 4502 4504 7181 7191 10129 As long as they are complete and include all figures and instructions - boxes optional. I have several 7666 Hoth Rebel Bases available for exchange as well as some of the newer sets (naboo, jsf, landing craft etc) PM me if you are interested. I am on the straightshooters list, 12 Oct posting, but it hasn't been updated on the main list on page 1!! Cheers
  13. No shipping to UK?? Or anywhere o/s US for that matter?

Rather than hang it, has anyone wall mounted it? Similar to when it lands on the back of the star destroyer in ESB? I have contemplated doing that, but until it is built, I don't know if the landing gear will support it? If it was in a flat(ish) wall mounted display case then the side/back of the ship could rest on the bottom of the case to support it. Nice glass case, big falcon inside, certificate also displayed? Sounds nice.
  15. Please add one for Mutley777 to reciprocate the note above. Smooth and honest and no probs dealing with me being a "first timer"!!! Thanks
