  1. Yes I consider the Sam X mech a titan too, the only real difference is the lack of white in the color scheme. Me (and my son) dislike floppy parts on mechs, so I've made a few changes on my version though.
  2. 1. Cole* 2. Zane 3. Lloyd 4. Jay *Hard to compare before I build it, but the pictures are very promising. The legs on the Zane mech have the best engineering of all Lego mechs from recent years (in my opinion). I would have liked the torso to be bigger, but that increases the weight and gives stability issues. I think you can see the same thing on the Cole mech, the torso is tiny, but it gives a nice visual effect with the massive shoulders.
  3. I have it, and would absolutely recommend you buy it. It has some design influence from Evangelion, so the torso has this funny permanent ab crunch. There are some parts that will pop of easily if you actually play with it, but it's fine for display and posing. I collect all the titan mechs, so I have some bias there, but I think the mech has enough interesting parts and minifigures to justify a purchase either way. Favorite parts: - finally a titan for Jay, absolutely needed to complete the lineup. - the overall mech design is really different from the other titans, lots of nice new building techniques, cool swords that attach at the hips, - Nice new weapons pack, villains, and a cute little magazine fed dart launcher Least favorite parts: - I think the design is floppy. It's hard to make a Lego mech both solid and posable, so I often modify them for more stability. The only Ninjago titan I think is perfect out of the box is the fire stone mech (71720). - Core Jay and Nya are not exclusive to this set, so any Ninjago collector is likely to own them already.
  4. Zane's mech is around 800 pieces, and I'd say the bottom half is sturdier than the top half. This new MK mech is 1700 pieces? I don't think the knee joint from Zane's can handle that weight. I tried a heavier torso on my own, and it became floppy. Nya's knee design could be better, but that too would get floppy with a heavier torso.
  5. The mech is designed by Niek van Slagmaat, and I'm pretty sure there's a post on his Twitter (toothdominoes) where he personally confirms the Gurren Lagann inspiration. But if your question actually was _why_ he's a fan, then i don't know :-)
  6. I wonder if Jay will get a titan mech next year. He seems to be next in line now.
  7. Thanks, I just saw him on the poster in the magazine, silly me :-) I was really happy when we got tournament Zane, so fingers crossed for Digi Zane.
  8. Has there been any sign that we will get Digital Zane? As I understand he is in the show, and it's very unusual to not get the full set of ninja in the toys.
  9. Zane's tank was up on toysrus.no with box image and set overview picture last night, but they removed it this morning. SO I only have a small box image. The laser is a trans blue six stud shooter. The canopy is like on Benny's or similar. Treads from USR. Set name listed was: Ninjago 70616 Ice Tank With this link you can still see the search entry: https://www.toysrus.no/search/?text=70616
