  1. Looks really nice, think this is my favourite of the new ones.
  2. I love big sets but unfortunately I don't find the model itself very interesting; perhaps a review will change that.
  3. Yes that one is really nice.
  4. Thanks, thinking of buying those for now because they fit the wheels of the 8070 which I already have.
  5. I bet you have an entire zoo of LEGO parrotts then.
  6. Thanks for all the pictures/links. I want to stick to LEGO but thanks for the tip. After looking at all the photos posted in this thread it seems like I need the power wheels whatever the cost, and some bigger shock absorbers too. Great news. Really nice, your blue version is nicer though. Looks great, you should give it another go now. What wheels are you using? They don't look like the power wheels...
  7. Welcome captain! You do anything else than pirate LEGO?
  8. Ok thanks for the clarification.
  9. I really want those wheels but they sure are not cheap. Btw what does it mean when it says (x2) next to the quantity number at some stores? Are they sold in pairs? Yeah just had a look at it, really cool. Looks like those power wheels have not been used on a set for about 10 years, hopefully 2012 is the year they make a comeback.
  10. I was thinking of the rims only. Looks great allanp, I hope you decide to build a new one, the Grave Digger maybe? Thanks a lot for the link, looks like I misjudged the power wheels a lot, They look perfect. I believe there are a lot of parts I am missing in order to build a good monster truck even if I had those wheels; I only have the parts of the 8070 car at my disposal atm.
  11. I have a bit of difficulty judging how big those rims are compared to the ones for the 8070 Supercar, the ones Sariel is using are a bit smaller right? EDIT: Afrer some research I found that the 8297 set is using the same rims as the 8070 Supercar. Pretty massive wheels it looks like.

I would probably go with a roof which could be easily removed if one wants to look at the details of the interior.
  13. Thanks, it's something like Sariel's monster truck I want. Anyone know from what set those tires are from?
  14. Hello, While I wish and wait for a big official monster truck set I was wondering if anyone has created one of their own? There seems to be mostly trucks and sports cars built. Also, are there big enough tires available in order to build one properly?

I am a big hockey fan and I find your project very interesting; cannot wait to see an entire arena. Keep it up!
  16. After building the B model today I have to say it looks better than I expected.
  17. I have a crane like the one on the first picture outside my building atm, just perfect for inspiration.
  18. I would not mind having that collection, simply amazing. Great work!
  19. Thanks for the review; the model looks nice but a bit too small for my taste. I hope LEGO creates a big monster truck soon, wouldn't mind to see a LEGO Grave Digger.
  20. A real beauty for sure. Just out of curiosity, approximately how much time did you spend modelling and building?
  21. I would like to know the same thing. After reading the FAQ I assume one 8884 IR-RX and one 8885 IR-TX is enough to provide two functionalities, for example steering and moving forward/backwards?
