Blue rails
Hello Matthias, yes, the blue rails were original Lego parts. The train theme started with them in the middle of the 1960ies and they were replace by the light grey rails appr. 1978.

Hi, I can only confirm what was written about TrixBrix. Fine quality for 3D printing and vast choice of geometries. Where economical, they even have replaced/supplemented there 3D printed track pieces by injection moulded versions (e.g. their double straights). Using 12v motor on 9v track... by using a 9v motor.
I went a different way and connected my 7740 12V-train motor to a Buwizz. The Buwizz can supply up to 12 V ;) Works perfect and no extra power pick-up car is necessary.
