  1. What a stunning effort both by individuals and as a group! Wish I could have seen it in person
  2. I always love Chibi-style builds, and the fact that you made it on the molded boat piece is very neat! good job!
  3. If you use glue, it doesn't even matter if they are stickers or not
  4. I like it! It is very movie accurate!
  5. wow! That is one massive achievement! The domed roof looks very good, everything is very meticulously photo-accurate, too! Nice one
  6. yes. Yes it is
  7. Hello everyone! I have noticed that on certain Eurobricks member's comments and such there are a number of badges (Not sure what else to call them). Some are pronouncing their wearer things like "MOC master,". My question is what are they and how do you get them My other question is how do you get those little messages that are under a profile pic on a comment? Thanks for the help, everyone!
  8. XBrickmonster posted a post in a topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Hello! Recently I have decided to enter a contest over on Flickr, the Colossal Battle Contest in the group LEGO War. One of the categories is Beasts of battle, and I was wondering if anyone had ideas/techniques of how to build cool animals that might fit that theme. I already have one entry done, but I still want to hear some ideas and learn some new techniques to apply in other builds as well. I hope this topic will help others too, because I know that animals and beasts are often rather difficult to realistically represent in LEGO brick form. Thanks everyone!

This is quite nice! I like the technique you used for the tower's window, it looks great! Did the restriction mean piece count or base/height size?
  10. Yeah, that is a nice one. I someone gave me the prototype of the original LEGO set!
  11. this is very good, it captures the scene quite nicely! The micro city is beautiful, one of the best I have seen. The only thing is, the ray of sun and the staff should maybe be moved up so it looks more like the beam is coming from the window. I like the build very much though!
  12. Dang! I couldn't find one anywhere!
  13. Very cool sand technique. The wheel tracks look wonderful! The only thing is, maybe add some dark tan to the tan in all of the sand or have no dark tan at all, since it looks a little odd having dark tan only in the tire tracks. Nice job!
  14. Beautiful! I love the bridge!
  15. ooh! good one! I have a bunch of ideas - Luke's T-16 Skyhopper? I can't find one that anyone has done of those yet. - Jedi Starfighter? That must have been done before, though. - A-wing? -SS-54 Assault ship? link here if you don't know what that is. -Podracer? -Jaba's Sail-barge? -Cloud Car? That would be fun. I might have seen one of those before... -Republic Cruiser? -Kylo Ren's Shuttle? -Krennic's Shuttle? I love this ship. :D That's all I got. Hope it helps! :D
  16. That's very cool! I love Easter Eggs like that too. I wish I had that set...
  17. @HenrikLego This is very good! I love how sleek it is, and very realistic!Nice addition of the cape as well. My only issue with it is that the helmet is a little wide, and it might look better if you make it a little taller? That's a very cool story that you got to meet Jeremy Bulloch! Boba Fett is one of my favorite SW characters. Nice BB-8 too!

@LittleJohn This is great! I love the base especially. The claw pieces are excellent as grass, too. The wall technique is also very cool!
  19. Thanks @Capt Wolf! I'll check it out!
  20. @GrahamSlam I don't really know. I live in New England too, and I would love to go to something. TLG's premier settlement in the US is in CT, if that helps.
  21. @Capt Wolf That's a nice door. BoBS seems pretty cool, but I tried to join, but it seems rather complex. I am beginning a Lands of Mythron character, so I don't know if I have enough time and I feel I wouldn't put in enough effort for it to be worth it.
  22. @kabel Yeah. A good forest floor is nothing without good trees!
  23. @aps27, you have some good ideas and some good techniques. The ground is good, and has a nice even, flowing slope to it. The bridge is nice, and fits very well in this scene. The blacksmith's shop is a bit too small, maybe, but effective, but does the blacksmith mind what is going on outside? Things to work on in the future: -Foliage. LEGO offers some nice plants, and I see you have used some here. The thing is, they are nice to mix and match. I find that the use of large plants such as 6255 or 6064 are good to use sparsely with 15279 and or 3741 to fill in between. -Water. Clear tiles with blue underneath or blue tiles look better as water than plates, I think. -Photography. I can say the same for myself, though. Everyone can work on their photography a little, i'd say. Overall, nice work! Keep MOCing, I would love to see your next one!
  24. @MovieMocs I think you know what you want it to look like, but it still could be better. If you try to stick with plates rather than bricks, it will look more natural and flow better. I like to use dark green and dark tan, personally. Try to limit your color pallet to two or three colors max. Often what I do with forest paths is try to give them a "used" look by removing a few at random, especially when you have circular stones in the path. Keep up the good work!
  25. This is very nice. I like the tower part the most.
