Fuppylodders, I guess some of the things I said before were too harsh, but here in America many of the stores do have a waitlist where you can sign up and have 48 hours to pick up. From other things I read, this waitlist is most likely for US stores only so I guess all other stores not in the US won't have one. I don't know why they wouldn't do it worldwide, but that's their choice. Also with the new batches that come out, I'm pretty sure they send some/most of the new batch to people who back ordered, and send the rest to stores to cut down the waitlist. I'm too not all that happy with there slow and overcomplicated response, but I try to understand them at least. But lets at least hope they'll learn from there recent mistakes with the falcon and the Saturn V for the future.

Hi all, I have new information regarding the falcon. As you may know, many stores (in America, not sure about worldwide) have received about 8-25 falcons (number depends on size of store and people on waitlist) this week. I have been told that all store employees are NOT allowed to discuss when or if they got any falcons in there shipment because these next few shipments are only for the people on the waitlist for each store. What that means is that if you ask an employee at a store if they got any falcons or when there going to get any they will not tell you. All stores will call each person on the waitlist and only tell those people they have got the falcons. Also, yes if you called your store and they said they don’t know, they are lying to you. However, you should have signed up on the waitlist and if you didn’t know about it tough luck. Anyhow, the general public will be able to buy the falcon at there nearby store AFTER that store has notified all the people on there waitlist and those people have purchased there falcons. If a person on the waitlist does not pick up within 48 hours, they will not be able to get the falcon until the store has cleared the waitlist. Also a note to people on the store waitlist, don’t be a prick and call the store if you can pick up a falcon. Be patient and wait your turn. LEGO has made an impressive response by getting a batch out so quickly so soon, but expected. Again most, if not all, LEGO stores should have received a batch of new falcons this or next week and the general public will be able to purchase the falcon after the people on the waitlist have purchased there falcons. This is most of the new info I got and hopefully this can be of some help you all customers of the falcon. Btw, LEGO has made a new return policy. All returns on sets $500 and up will have an 10% restocking fee (ex. Return the falcon for $800, you get $720 back). I guess this is LEGO’s way of don’t return big sets because there too awesome :P

Black VIP Cards Do not worry everyone who order the falcon will receive there own personal card within 6 weeks. Correction, the card is NOT for the first 20,000 people, that number is an estimatation by LEGO on how many people they think people will get the black card by the end of this year. Also yes, LEGO did think that about 20,000 people would buy the falcon by the end of this year but looks like they got a surprise on day 1.... Oh, if none of you guys knew the black VIP card is only for people who buy the falcon within this year. But I think they might extend this due to the great success and failure on the first day of sale.

I highly recommend that you get one online rather than at the store because most LEGO stores will have falcons available next year. Unless you plan on consistently calling and going to the LEGO store just to check don't waste your energy on going to the store. Besides when the second wave comes the LEGO website will have it available first, not the stores. Oh btw, all LEGO stores should have a waiting list that you can sign up for. The guy you talked to either wrong or didn't want you to sign up. The only thing he said that was right was the falcon will be out of stock for a while (meaning next year most likely)

I completely agree with you. Those kinds of people are absolute scumbags and I really wish LEGO could take this alittle more seriously and maybe leave the limit to 1 and then after an year or so, so actual fans can buy one, they can raise the limit to whatever and have those scaplers buy the leftovers. Aside from this rant I have an important announcement concerning the falcon waitlist. I would like to inform all that the waitlist will NOT guarantee you in buying the falcon. The actual reason for the waitlist is for LEGO to determine how many falcons to produce in the next wave. From what I heard from my friend, don't get the set from your nearby LEGO store but get it online because the stores won't get any falcons until next year. But if for some reason you don't like the simplicity of online buying, you'll have to be very patient till next year if you want one. Aside from this, don't worry guys if you want one you will get it, LEGO did say that they will make enough for every true fan and they will keep their word. Actually they will only call you to notify about the set, they will not hold the set for anyone. The set is only first-come-first-serve for now. If you live far from your closest LEGO store, you will most likely not get one.

What the main purpose of the black VIP's is that all black VIP members will get special offers in the future and be able to get double or triple VIP points on certain weeks where regular VIP members cannot. In other words, the black VIP is like the "Platinum" edition of the regular VIP. Also LEGO is doing this as an experiment to see if people will buy more if something like this is given out. They also estimate 20,000 black VIP members by the end of this year and they will send you your own personal black VIP card. That might be possible however I believe your store manager is wrong. All LEGO stores will be getting an extremely limited supply of falcons for the October release. As I have said, all stores should be getting around 2-4, which will depend on there store size, for the final release. Probably the reason why that manager has said that is to make customers buy it online because they don't want people to waste there times at the LEGO store to find out it has been sold out within the minute. So if I were you I'd wait and buy it online because stores will be out and empty after the October release.

To all that still want to buy the falcon at the LEGO store, please do not buy the set there. Buy it online because every LEGO store get one last shipment of falcons for the October 1st release. The amount that they will get is around 2-4 (depending on store size) and after they sell those out in 5 minutes it is extremely likely that they will no longer get anymore falcons. I have tried to tell people not to go to stores because they will only get 2-10 falcons and only the hardcore fans will get it. So buy the falcon online and do NOT go to the LEGO stores to get it as you will waste your time and be disappointed. Don't be fool in thinking you can get it from the LEGO store just buy it online and if you were, smart move and endure the struggle :)
