Very nice. The SNOT'ed ''head'' piece is well made, and the legs are pretty cool too. When I first saw this, it seemed like the ''feet'' were really small, but after doing some research it appears that they are about the right size. Anyway, good job on this one.

Thanks for the feedback guys! The A-wing is 9.6 meters according to wookieepedia, and the Y-wing around 16 meters, so it's not the same scale. However, it might be a neat idea to create a UCS A-wing..
  4. Great work, as always! You still manage to surprise me every single time with your creations. And this one is no exception. The Rancor is awesome, I haven't seen any other ones in this scale before. However, I agree with fallenangel that the tail might need some improvements, to make it even better.
  5. Anyway, here is my contribution: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=62591

Still no room to store my lego at home, so I'll stick to the digital creations in the meantime. Even though I'm getting a little tired of converting all my idea's in MOC's with LDD, I was still motivated enough to contribute to the current community build. Let's just hope I can make something out of real bricks again, before the deadline of the next community build. So, this time I'd make an A-wing. I gained a lot of inspiration from this version, which was also posted here on EB, if I remember correctly. My version has the same sort of front edge, including the 1x4 curved bricks at the side, and the use of pilons at the front. I tried to prevent ''floating bricks'', but I couldn't resist to let the pilons float, as the illegal way I could attach them in real, is not optional in LDD. Unfortunate. All the other bricks are attached to each other, so when modified slightly, this could be build in real. I didn't count the hours the build of this A-wing took, but I estimate it around 10-12. If you want more pictures or the lxf. file, feel free to ask.

    Hi-la-ri-ous!
  8. My thought. Everyone here knows that fallenangel must have some kind of huge archive somewhere, with thousands of pictures and hundreds of statistics for every SW vehicle in the universe.
  9. Umm, maybe my words were a little misleading. I intended to make it minifigure scale, but after counting the amount of studs in length, it appears that it will be around 28 studs.. sorry.
  10. Ah, I see, thanks. Especially the one with Darth Vader shooting electricity (forgot the right word for that attack) is nice.
  11. Now I've seen pictures of the back of the X-wing (thanks grogall) I actually like it pretty much. The cannons, the back, the nose and engines are all improvements over the previous version which makes this one superior. And as there is also the new R5 unit (the red one) included in this set, I might probably even get it.
  12. I'm working on a minifig scale, LDD A-wing. Let's hope that will be my last digital creation, I really want to work with the real stuff again.
  13. Nice ones Linko. The glowing lightsabers are a nice effect indeed. You might take some photo's of Sith with glowing red lightsabers in a even darker environment. Think that would be really neat.

Did anyone already mention the lovely nose? Fantastic Rancor! The whole head is really accurate, which is hard to make due to the fact that it's an organic shape. The claws are cool too, I would love to see a Gamorrean guard trapped in there.
  15. Me too. But rather a tan one. Those nameplates can come in handy for MOC's too, even though they are pretty small, I would still like to see it below my own Interceptor or Naboo fighter.
  16. Very nice! The cabin itself is looking good, and it has a well finished look all over it. No empty spots, and vegetation all over the place. As already mentioned, you might replace the brighter colors with darker ones, it will probably give the whole a more realistic look. But hey, decide for yourself, it's all about what YOU like. Any plans on integrating this in a larger scene with trees etc. around?
  17. I didn't even noticed before that the dish piece of the Interceptor was printed.

No more than just two comments on this great Viper? I think it's awesome! The eye-catcher one this one is, clearly, the back with all the SNOT'ed angles, really nice. The windscreen is integrated very well in the body of this ship, which gives it a smooth look. And those air intakes are awesome!

Pretty cool, reminds me of Zam Wessels' airspeeder. Interesting are the two bley pieces at the back, the exhaust (I assume it's one) and the curved piece behind it, they really work well together. I don't know if you're a fan of SNOT, but I would really love to see the wings being SNOT'ed.
  20. Ah, I see. Shame on me; the glider is almost right in front of me when I sit behind my desk.
  21. I am a fan of light gray all over! I like it, all bley with touches of lemon green. The missiles are cool indeed. As lightningtiger already mentioned, the tail needs some work, and I would recommend to take some pictures from different angles (not just the straight side, back and front). I'm sure that will present your MOC better, and gives us an more decent impression of your already sweet MOC.
  22. I couldn't remember what this creation reminded me of when I first saw it, but not I remember: Alien (The Alien, or ''Xenomorph''). The curved headpiece reminds me of it's head, and the large ''ribs'' at the side of it's tail. Is this too farfetched, or am I not the only one thinking of it this way?
  23. The second creation looks interesting. You used both light- and dark gray, combined with a nice mechanic look, which gives this a good SW feeling, if you ask me. You also did a good job on the open engine, seeing the inside makes this MOC (well, part of) interesting to look at. I won't give any constructive criticism yet, but I probably will when you finished the final product. I'm really looking forward to it, I'm sure you are going to make something sweet out of it. Good luck.

Well, that's one happy T-rex then. Looks more like some kind of sauropod to me. Anyway, let's not spam this thread with a prehistoric creatures discussion. ACPin, this looks wonderful! The lighting is just perfect, I can almost smell the underground palace, crowded with all kinds of beings from the farthest reach of the universe, while some beams of light pour to gates in the roof.. just lovely! Nice custom headpiece too. Note: An Fellow after 500 posts...? Or am I being stupid?
