Great mod. I always wonder why TLG doesn't add all the details like you did already, as there isn't that much work involved (correct me if I'm wrong ), yet it does improve the quality of a set alot.
  2. Thanks for the pictures. Maybe I'm somewhat too picky now, but the surroundings (the terrain, not the vehicles) always look a little off compared to the highly detailed MOC's. Some additional detail and variation in the terrain would probably fit all the vehicles better.
  3. Most of those creations are really great. Although they are mainly made out of stacked bricks and plates, most of them still look good. The Bantha is probably my favorite, those horns are great.

Thanks for the review, but I won't spend money on this set myself though. It does contain some useful pieces like the transparant ones, but the other are nothing special and I don't count the battle droid as a minifigure. So I'll let this one slide.

It does look like an engine indeed, but that doesn't mean it won't work well as a ship. You've made this a very detailed spaceship, for example; the slope pieces fitting in perfectly with those dark grey pieces. Details like those make this a great creation.
  6. Wow, this is another awesome creation Mood...! The speeder especially is lovely, so accurate and detailed. Better than your previous version, which was also great though. I like the Snow Scout too, the tooth piece works extremely well.
  7. Thanks for the review, although I think this is a pretty lame set. Not really accurate and it's just too small. I'd rather spend my money on another mini.

Great work. The overall look is very nice and all the buildings look smooth. The docking bay is great indeed.

Wow, very nice. The way you made the curve in the window section is really great - using the smooth part of wedge plates to put the bricks on. Tiling the floor would be great indeed.
  10. Thanks for the review. I'm not a huge fan of this mini SD, but it's okay. At least better than the previous one. However, for me this is just another parts pack.
  11. Thanks for the review. I think the Interceptor is the best of the three, due to it's useful parts (for me at least) and the useful printed piece. The Death Star would be better with printing indeed, but oh well, I can live with this too.
  12. Indeed, based on the pictures we had, I really thought the nacelle cones were metallica too.

Really nice. The SNOT is great and that first shot is awesome. Instantly reminds me of his post in the real movie.
  14. Depends on what your goal is. Do you just want to have the best looking minifigures? Or are you a collector who wants every single one of them (or only of a specific theme for instance)? If you're the first, I would just go for the new Luminara and hope they don't bring out a even better one in the future, which they probably won't though. However, if I was you, I would keep the old Luminara (and other older figures you own) and make sure they don't get damaged or get a used look. Just put them in plastic bags or something, that's what I do at least.
  15. Quiet! Don't let Mood hear, I can't handle even more scales...!
  16. Nude Gunray.
  17. Great creations. Especially the Gladiator SD is lovely.
  18. When I take my pre-dark ages lego in account, it's about 60% I estimate. From the sets I bought after my dark ages, around 25, only 3 were non-SW, from Alien Conquest to be precise.
  19. Thanks again grogall! The Interceptor cetainly looks interesting due to the useful parts and printed cockpit.

If I remember correctly we already had a thread for this kind of discussion.
  21. Hi-la-ri-ous!
  22. You refer to the Battlepacks, I assume? Because we haven't seen any Star Wars under 20 bucks the last years, if you don't include the battlepacks. We've only had a couple of mini models, and the currect planet sets of course, but no system scale sets with a low price tag. One missed oppurtunity for TLG if you ask me. Personally, I would rather buy three $15,- sets than one $45,- set. But that's just me...

I somewhat agree with you, but not completely. I think the head section is pretty well done for an system scale set. The SNOTing on the sides is indeed nice, but I doubt if there would be any more accurate solution which doesn't reduce the playability and so the reliability of the ship without using the stacked plates around the cockpit. The two cheese slopes do however look somewhat out of place. Oh well, guess this is just a matter of taste. At least this Y-wing head is better than the previous one.

This is lovely! The fighter is really great, and the fact you put in into a scene made it even better - especially the crane and other maintenance stuff is great.
  25. Two great alternate models Legostein! The shape of both is pretty accurate, although I like the Munificent better due to it's colors.
