  1. I can confirm that. Whether you're active on a lego forum or a political debate website, there always seem to be people spamming and babble nonsens - both 10-year olds as employed adults. The EB staff has clearly showed they know how to deal with this kind, the result is a helpful and interesting forum; without the requirement to read through al the nonsense. Kudos for that, EB administration.
  2. Hum... sure the black astromech droid is the same one as in 10188? According to BL, there are two different black astromech droids. R2-D5 and R2-Q5. R2-D5 on the left, R2-Q5 on the right. They have different heads.
  3. Nice one LOTF! But are you sure she has to stand outside of the club, instead of dancing inside it? Yours is great too Oky! Reminds me of Star Wars: Battlefront, where the rebels on tauntaun's always rush onto the empire's encampment, being ''bantha fodder'' for the AT-AT's turbolasers... Anyway, I can tell you that your funnies almost make me laugh (yes, real laughing) every single time.

Correct. I first tried a circular tube without the technic holes in the sides, but after I encountered that the 2x2 plate with circular tube (don't know the name either ), I decided to go for the circular tube with technic holes in it, even though those holes would be visible on the sides, which makes an less accurate A-wing. That's another advantage of using LDD; you can just inspect all the lists of pieces till you find the one you need.
  5. You don't mean Star Wars: Battlefront, right?

Great work again! The scene has a great sphere, almost movie like. I really like the machinery at the left, and the droid at the right being teared apart. Ps; nice collection of protocol droids.
  7. It was about time they introduced the R5 units. Even when your Star Wars collection is modest, you'll probably have a bag full of R2-D2's.

Thanks Churchill. The only inaccurate part of the stabilizers is that they should bend a little inward, as can be seen here. I feel more and more like I should make this in real, tomorrow I have some money again, and with access to Bricklink... who knows that the future will bring us...
  9. Looking good so far! But before I'm going to give criticism or more compliments, I would like to see some more close-ups, especially of the tracks. Can you do that for us?
  10. Pretty nice. I think the exterior could use some work though, like a litte greebles or something. However, the fact that this ship has an large interior and a cool color scheme, makes this a neat ship. Well done.
  11. Very original. Any plans on making more of those logo's?

Thanks Doc. What I found hard about this build, was to let the pilons connect to the ''hood'' of the A-wing (the dark gray part). Making a very curved vehicle all smooth with a minimum of gaps is hard in real, but particular in LDD. Not to mention that a lot of connections require illegal building manners, which are not available in LDD.
  13. The tail is certainly improved, looks way more natural this way. You should also make a Moodland King Kong, and let it battle with the Micro-Mood Scale Rancor.

I use to laugh about a lot of my own jokes.. But you're right, the photocopies complete the joke. But also the image of Leia getting drunk and stuff..
  15. Haha, those ewoks made me seriously laugh. And to think that I am usually someone who hates those little furballs..
  16. The Sandtroopers are too dirty IMO. They are looking odd, too detailed. They already have leg printing, combined with all the dirt.. no, it just doesn't do it for me. Neither they will fit in with the Stormtroopers we've already seen. Why couldn't they keep it simple with just a little dirt and give the battlepack Stormtrooper leg printing instead of the sandtrooper?
  17. Not to mention the ridiculous price of the UCS Jedi Starfighter..
  18. You're right, I'm mixing up different scenes now.. Really? I've never noted that. I knew though they changed the ''old'' Darth Vader with the ''younger'' one in the blue-ray version. Still don't know why they did that. But we're going offtopic here..
  19. What do you mean with the bigger doors? It's been a while since I've watched the OT...
  20. I'm always wondering where everyone is storing such an amount of lego.. but maybe that's just because I only have a small room to store my lego in. Funny, I'm also thinking about collecting all the astromech's, as I am only missing three of four of the little fellas. They're just so lovely.

I just posted the lxf. file for the A-wing, so if you want to have this one too... Well, I have cleaned my room today and thrown away a lot stuff I didn't need anymore (boxes of lego and model kits, and lots of other things) I also have a new bed with drawers below which I'm going to fill with wooden containers (my mum has a workshop) to store my lego in. Anyway, I was planning to place a larger bricklink order soon, and wo knows.. maybe I'm going to turn one of my LDD creations in real. If I'll do that, I make sure to keep you guys up-to-date. Thanks for blogging! I really feel obligated to contribute some ''real'' MOC's soon... After all, it is better than those digital stuff, right?

Thanks MB. Here you go: .lxf I only changed the dark bley for black, and the canopy from transparant to transparant brown. I was thinking about that too; designing both the A, B, X and Y-wing in LDD, but then I'll make them minifigure scale, instead of UCS.
  23. Thanks for the pictures grogall. Nice to see some pic's taken from different angles. Droid escape and the TIE fighter are still my favorites. The only thing I'm a bit worried about is the printing on the Sandtroopers... but I usually don't buy multiple copies of a set anyway, so who cares. It's just that they won't fit well between the regular Stormtroopers IMO.

Never seen the movie, but this looks fantastic!
  25. Alien conquest is one of the few other themes besides Star Wars I actually like. The ADU soldiers are sweet and the new aliens are okay too. And let's not forget bout the ADU rifles which come in most of the sets, they are one of the few more realistic space rifles in lego sets (and especially sweet when customized with binoculars). Anyway, thanks for the review. I doubt if I will buy any of the larger AC sets, as there are still numbers of SW sets I want to have.
