Prince of Persia 2010
I wouldn't have minded if the colour was dark orange, but maybe the designers thought it was just too bright/ bold for the set overall. I think we won't really get a feel for how it works until it's in our hot little hands! It looks like the new shade is in use in the Harry Potter Burrows set so it looks like it will become more plentiful as time goes on.

Harry Potter returns in style! The new Hogwarts is *amazing* - what a beautiful looking build - easily better than the last version. So many bricks! I don't care if it's pricey, for once I'm glad they've gone all out with the set design rather than trying to cut corners. It kind of looks more medieval and even MOCish than previous versions which relied on the large curved walls and turret pieces. Tan castle corners! Dark tan logs and arches! Wonderful! (And this opinion is without even looking at the figs too closely). Hogwarts and even the PoP Alamut set easily kick the non-licensed Kingdoms castle out of the water The Burrows looks like a fantastically quirky building too - a really different look to the buildings we normally get. So many colours! We really are spoiled this year It's about time!

Happy Birthday Quarryman!
Happy Quarryday! You're my favouritest infected wiener in the whole world! Birthdayfest 2010 continues apace in Sydney, so tonight we're pleased to pass the baton onto the Aquarians of Norwegia team. Go Team Norwegia! You kick Swedonia's megablocks any day! Shutup, JCC.

Happy Birthday Svelte!
I know... I'm collecting some a little at a time. There's a shop in the Blue Mountains that has a massive display laid out on one table. There's also a little shop around the corner from me that sells pieces. The little dishes only came in 2 days ago I snapped 'em up! Lit from above on a pedestal, with a golden wreath shining on my brow? Yes, I get that a lot.

I assume they mean the YouTube video. I can't see it either and a message pops up that the content producers have decided to block it in my country

MOC: Wall-E
No, it really doesn't It is a little confusing, but Licensed focusses on *actual* LEGO Licenses, past, present, or future. There's a bit of discussion about Licenses we'd like to see, but we try to keep that to a minimum. So here or Other Themes would be the proper place to post this MOC.

Happy Birthday Svelte!
I hosed 'em all off and they were fine. Yes... I'm having more flashbacks now. I'll have to see if I can track down a copy of that book. It was a source of much childhood awe. The LEGO Ideas Book of Birthday Cakes, indeed.

Roof cabs! Support pieces! Inverse slopes! Yep, they're all good.

It's a trap!
Very clever use of the carrot top piece! Good old Ackbar - no matter that his minifig face doesn't change, it always seems to scream 'permanent hysteria'!

That Western train is beautiful - a whole lot better than the blurry pics we saw. It has a primary but great colour scheme and an amazing range of parts. More dark green windows! A wonderful classic design I like this a whole lot better than the proper City trains and I'll be sure to pick this up, then sell off the figs to subsidise the purchase The Trash Compactor looks like a fun playset - nicely detailed - but not really for me. Some parts newly in dark green will be must-haves, however.

Happy Birthday Svelte!
So many birthday wishes! Thanks everyone! I had a lovely day. As promised, here's a pic of my swimming pool cake. It was kind of hot in Sydney, so the jelly started melting almost immediately this was out of the fridge and the minifigs look like they're drowning, not waving Catwoman is on a surfboard, but it's already sunk beneath the waves. This was a nostalgic flashback to a cake that came from a famous Australian cookbook that a lot of kids of a certain age *ahem* probably were made versions of. Although my version isn't basic sponge and butter icing, but flourless almond and orange cake, and chocolate ganache: Cake and me. You can't even see the scars from earlier in the day! Bonus caption pic! Now Day 2 begins!

Happy Birthday Svelte!
OMG! Quarry's alive! Shadows told me they were just keeping your brain alive in a jar I'll have a good day, once the bleeding stops. (I cut myself shaving really badly this morning on the upper lip - ouch! ). It's early in Sydney, so a full day ahead. I have a Lego-ish influenced birthday cake underway, I'll share pics once it's decorated later this evening My birthday is today, my sister's is tomorrow, and my mother's is the day after, so we three Aquarians are having a special birthday fest this week - woo!
