Review: 7590 Toy Story Woody and Buzz to the Rescue
Thanks for this great review Pugsly! This set looks very interesting. I find it totally bizarre that Woody comes assembled as a figure (even though the pieces come apart) Maybe they're supposed to ship unassembled but the factory worker/ robot just couldn't resist the cutesy goodness and put Woody together anyway! Nice to see some printed pieces too I'm sure we all look forward to your future reviews!

Lego Toy Story set out in US Reviews of 7595 and 7590
That's the annoying part. The more these parts are in circulation in regular sets, the harder it is to know what's what The bag test is the most reliable one at this stage for regular sets, it seems.

Lego Toy Story set out in US Reviews of 7595 and 7590
I really, really dislike that these dodgy parts are spreading even more to proper sets It looks like Buzz was a mix of normal parts and the moulded stuff since you have to assemble him from different sources. Let's wait for final confirmation from Pugsly.

Check the inside of the arms (push them up!) to see if they have that weird square mark on the inside. I notice that Woody's torso has the unpainted neck just like the lower quality Magnet torsos etc

RUN FOR THE HILLS! I fear it is too late for us all. It looks like the wieners have opeened a portal above Norwegia and thus the invasion begins. I fear this game was a ruse to distract us all while Quarry welcomed our new alien overlords Story here: Mysterious Light Spiral Appears over Northern Norway

Lego Toy Story set out in US Reviews of 7595 and 7590
Does he ever take his hat off in the films? I honestly don't know. I can imagine it would be tricky to make a connection stud on Woody's head that (a) wouldn't look silly when the hat was off (b) would be strong enough to hold a separate hat piece on during play (you'd have to use multiple studs which would look even sillier). How's the quality of the plastic? The flesh tone of the head looks a bit lighter and more see through than the hands.

Lego Games 2010
There's been a topic already about this flyer - I will merge this back into the Lego Games discussion as the other one was.

Prince of Persia 2010
No; I'm beginning to think it's cancelled LEGO has been really tight with images this year. Normally we would have had a whole heap of stuff way before then. I think we will have to wait for a catalogue to be sent to customers (there's an Aus/ NZ one due sometime this month) to get full pics.

Thanks for these! If you are going to start a new thread, why not repost the contents of what you said in the main thread here? Also, check the Tutorials Index for info on how to link images directly into a post from photo hosting sites (not using attachments) if you want to add some pics here

Infection - Confirmation & Discussion
Maybe there should be an 'Infection: Pearls Before Swine' thread where you can post all these references Dragonator can index it later. Big Suze vs Michael - woo! I bet you wish you hadn't stomped poor Barney so hard into the ground at the start of the game now, Suze! I pray for your benighted souls

Toy Story discussion thread
It's only a guess based on the fact that a lot of the online retailers don't seem to list him and we didn't get box art with all the other pics. Stop quibbling! Go get some sets and do us some reviews! (Although it looks like one of the Legolands has put stuff out early, which they sometimes do.)

I'm guessing he's a limited edition/ store exclusive. Most non-US retailers don't release everything at once in Jan in stores (although sets are available from S@H) but stagger releases throughout the months. That's probably what's happening here. The Toy Story site at LEGO is up now, not much to see yet! http://www.lego.com/toystory/en-US/default.aspx

Space Police 2010
I'd say the VPR is $15 and the Smash & Grab $30. $US19.99 non-licensed sets are almost always $AUD29.99

Toy Story discussion thread
I agree they are generally not as useful but perhaps some talented MOCer will do something amazing with them I wish we'd get some new Prince of Persia pics! Maybe those not so interested in Toy Story would feel better if they could see there was at least one decent minifig scale licensed line next year! (That includes me.)

Toy Story discussion thread
My point is that Lego doesn't care if you can use these pieces elsewhere - Toy Story fans will love the accuracy and detail, and they will be the ones purchasing the sets. And as many people have already expressed, other figs such as the green army men or the little alien will be useful to them in military or space-themed ways. Look at it this way - in Star Wars, you can't use Darth Vader's helmet for anything apart from Darth Vader, but this doesn't seem to upset most Star Wars fans

Toy Story discussion thread
I think the thing with the figs is, that if you like Toy Story, you will probably love them to pieces for their accuracy and attention to detail. If you're not interested in Toy Story, then I think people find them a little too different from standard figs to be really appealing. I don't imagine the license is geared to pleasing non-Toy Story fans - and why should it be? - and I imagine that with such an iconic brand, Disney probably had pretty firm ideas about how they wanted their characters represented.
