  1. McSmeag, that comment isn't at all helpful to this discussion. The Green Brick Giant, don't be so unnecessarily confrontational in your posting style to other members. JCC, it wouldn't hurt if you took a step back before posting replies since your opinions are well known in this forum on this subject. If none of you have noticed, the topic of this thread is 'Can Indy and Prince of Persia coexist?' NOT 'Lego is doing too many licensed themes/ general themes/ more than it used to' and so on. There is already a thread somewhere else that deals with that topic, and probably should go back to the 'What themes should we expect in 2010?' topic. Thanks.
  2. No need to stalk me. I'm right here!

Jack in the Box comes in multiple surprises - for my ongoing avvie series (WhiteFang) Belville Fairy - Because Belville is better than Paradisa. It really is! Despite what that loser 'Paradisa Princess' might have you believe (Shadows.)
  4. I am sure that's the most likely scenario too. I think the same approach is being taken with TS3 - we get the TS1 and TS2 sets for Jan, but not the third movie ones until it actually hits screens.
  5. I don't disbelieve you, but this is not official news. Omi, it wouldn't hurt to be a bit more civil to other members as well. We already had a running 'There are no Indy sets in 2010!' 'Yes there are!' ping-pong match a week ago. Let's not have a repeat. Thanks.
  6. Because his eyepatch is licensed. For the same reason, Jedi mind tricks only work in the Star Wars forum. I bet you don't even remember the full list of leaked 2010 images that were posted last week. No? That's because KimT's mental powers are awesome. Tread carefully!

Nice work! You must have burned through those 2x2 dark bley tiles The orange scheme of 7642 still hasn't convinced me, and overall the original set looks like a slightly colour-tweaked version of the Police Station.
  8. I heard it was just where Shadows keeps his spare eyepatches. I wouldn't get too excited

I doubt there will be Impulse sets, since no other licensed line gets them, but it wouldn't surprise me if we saw the usual assortment of keychains and magnet sets.

  11. A travelling salesman who had been trapped in there for three days after the door blew shut during another dark and stormy night. The odour was terrible! With crazed eyes, he picked up his suitcase and opened it. "I came to warn ye!" he said, retrieving an ominous looking legal document. "As this last will and testament says...

  13. ...the Hungry Woman. It had dropped off when went off to fetch crayons! Funnily enough, it tasted like chicken After that refreshing meal, it was decided that perhaps the group should investigate the strange disturbance in the train yard, the one that was currently...
  14. Sadly, like old Mother Hubbard, my cupboards are bare. I did have some Hungry Woman meals, but they defrosted a while ago and went on a rampage went bad. I will enjoy checking out this pleasant-sounding farm to stock up on delicious pine cones, cat shanks, and wolverine eggs
  15. Thanks for this review! This one is a surprise - although, with all the other Piratey accessories, I guess we probably should have been expecting something like a chess set along the line It looks nice, but the fig issue is a deal breaker for me. I can't help but think that with all the Tic-Tac-Toe, Battle Packs, magnets, and now these huge Chess Sets in production there are going to be even more of the crappy quality figs in circulation than there will be normal, regular ones I don't think a lessening of quality should be tolerated under any circumstances - if it starts at such a large scale here, where will it end? - and hopefully Bonaparte can whup their behinds I do think it's great that it's quite simple in design with the knights and so on, I'm sure there are lots of Pirates fans that could unpack some boxes and assemble their own version of this Chess set almost instantaneously!
  16. check that the goods were not defrosting, since he was so conscientious, but in his haste he tripped and crashed right into it! Peering through the splintered wood, he saw not 'Hungry Woman' dinners, but a monstrous sight that filled him with atavistic loathing and fear! It was...

With that manual art's distorted figs, it almost looks like Chewy is dancing with the stormtrooper - until you see the arms being ripped off! Cute review! Happy birthday!
  18. Does anyone know - have the Indy sets arrived at Myer yet? With the weekend offer it would be a good time to stock up on some extras. TheDarkness, does that mean that K-Mart is now selling the AT-OT at its original 'sale' price of $349? That seems weird. I haven't seen any in Sydney since the first few days of the sales, so I have no idea what they're doing with them nationwide.
  19. It's OK; I can lock it

I wouldn't have noticed either - keen spotting! It doesn't really bother me too much. As others have said, the designers have taken steps to camouflage the similarities as much as possible. The original minifig classic smiley ran for years and years so I can live with a little repetition. My Ughas aren't hanging out at the Chauchilla Cemetery with Mola's minions anyway. At least, not at the moment!

Thanks Ricecracker! We have an appropriate saying in my country: .[/end terrifying childhood memories]
  23. As ILikePi has already pointed out, really only the Creator sets have decent amounts of 1x X tan bricks in large quantities. The Indy sets have lots of different bricks in tan, but not so many basic ones. Since the Model Town House is no longer available, I'd either buy another Family Home while it's on sale here or just use Bricklink.
  24. ...and as the wind whistled through the boughs of the trees, and the milky moon shone wanly through brooding clouds, the Station Master shivered as he thought of the mysterious crated package that had recently arrived, padlocked, from the icy wastes of Siberia, which had a large warning sign printed on it which read...
  25. There's a lot of different threads, with slightly different angles. Probably the best one is this Embassy thread which discusses requests from across all themes.
