2018 Friends Sets - Rumours and Discussion
I'm surprised there haven't been any pictures yet. I thought they were usually released around October.

But there's no official confirmation that the theme is ending, right? There are plenty of Elves sets at my store, and they even have their own section. It might just depend on how much space the store has. They could've needed to free up the Elves spot in order to fit the Unikitty sets, because there was no free shelf-space available. Any number of reasons could be behind it. I don't want to jump to the worst conclusion just yet.

I agree! At first I thought that Susan WAS Ginny, I didn't realize she had the Hufflepuff robes. The inclusion of the Basilisk doesn't make sense to me either. So all we know is that there's going to be minifigure line of 22, and the names of the sets coming on August 1st? We don't really know if there are going to be further waves beyond August?

Harry Potter 2018 - Rumors & Discussion
I was not into LEGO when the first Harry Potter sets came out, so I have nothing to compare this new set to ..... I personally really love it and I'm super excited to see what other sets there will be!!! Ten mini-figures for a set at this price?! Is that ..... normal? So far I've collected from Friends and Elves, and in those themes you might get three mini-figures if you're lucky, for a set at this price. And sorry for being so oblivious but could someone tell me what D2C stands for? I'm not up to speed with all the LEGO lingo yet.

LEGO Elves 2018
Maybe they just grew out of it? The same thing happened to my sister where it was just a phase for her. When she became a teenager she decided it was time for her to move on. "The Final Battle" was for last year though, not this year. I think it was just referencing the final battle with Cronan, not altogether, since there is a fourth season after the final battle. And I remember some people mentioning:why would they create Secrets of Elvendale if the theme was winding down? Elves is just getting started! There's so much more to explore. I have no idea how well the theme is doing popularity-wise, but the story line has so much potential to continue for a long time. Aside from a few inconsistencies with the season 3 webisodes (which confused me greatly) I think the story line is brilliant, and some of the unexplained mysteries just add to the intrigue (or maybe they're waiting for a future season to dive into something). So yeah, I'm going to push back on the doom and gloom with some positivity! :) Let's all continue to show our support for this amazing theme. LEGO Elves team, we appreciate your work and we hope there are many, many more seasons to come!

I am extremely confused, what hints that the elves team up with Ragana??? They team up with an elf named Lumia. That makes sense that younger girls might not want a set with a boy character as much. It's a shame but I guess LEGO has to do whatever they need to do to sell lots of sets and keep the theme going.

I know, but it's still frustrating when one character is only used in like one set per season and usually the most expensive. It would be nice if it was more even, not that I expect it to actually be. And I don't know anything about Ninjago or Nexo, so. And I said roughly, I'm not expecting perfect numbers here. Just switch it up a bit. Put Farran in the least expensive set, or put him in two sets instead of one. You said it yourself. It's just disappointing that Aira and Farran are only in one set this year like last year. Meanwhile Naida and Azari are in two again like last year. Even LUMIA and NOCTURA are in two sets. And the webisodes are confusing me so I don't know what's going on.

I agree with those here who have said that the webisodes for 2017 could have been a bit more cohesive. Parts were reused, there were gaps in the story line, and it just didn't flow together. IMO, I think they were too busy worrying about Secrets of Elvendale to pay as much attention to the webisodes. I mean, if you're going to expand the series onto different media platforms, then at least spread out your time and effort evenly. Don't focus too much on one and then skimp on the other. For the people who don't have Netflix, the webisodes are all they have to go by. I'm a little surprised that there are only two sets for the summer. I'm glad we get another building, the Elvenstar Tree, since there weren't a whole lot of buildings in this year's first wave. I share people's frustrations about Farran only being in one set per season (and usually one of the most expensive.) Last year, Azari and Naida were used in the second wave, so this year they should have used Aira and Farran instead for the second wave IMO. I like it when there's (roughly) equal usage of the characters so it doesn't feel like anyone is being favoured or forgotten.

I'm confused, how can "snack" be the name of a set? I'm actually glad there isn't a racing sub-theme (as only 1 seems to be about racing). I like a variety of different locations and events to choose from. I wonder what kind of accessories will be in Andrea's store . . . hair-accessories? Maybe felt capes/cloaks or skirts? Or just a hodgepodge of random items? And how would the Accessory Store be different from the Creative Objects Store?
