You know, the small beast foot piece actually exists in red, in 70221 Flinx's Ultimate Phoenix. Still, I like this revamp a lot. I think you pulled off the color layering pretty good, and that spine looks great!
  2. It's actually a 4M Bone Piece. He just cut the ball off, hence why he said it's a "violent method".
  3. It's funny because we're already in April and none of the new sets are in stores yet, here in Spain. Every other theme is, however, so this leads me to believe that Bionicle 2015 didn't sell very well in my country...
  4. I'm not really an expert at all, but I think it probably has to do with what we generally consider "basic colours". Red, blue, green, yellow, black and white IMO fall into this category, which are in fact the first colours that LEGO produced. Brown is missing in the list, but yellow, which replaced it from 2006 onwards, is not. So it's easy to believe that yellow sets would sell better than brown ones.
  5. I believe he was referring to constraction as a whole, not just Bionicle. I don't really see any reason for these speculations which have been coming up lately about "the end of constraction". If Bionicle isn't selling as well as expected, that's the theme's fault and its lack of proper advertisement, not because of its system (CCBS). HF had some quite successful years afterall. I'm confident that TLG will come up with better selling themes eventually.
  6. Seeing simple yet good-looking MOCs like this is something I always love. It reminds me of simpler times, I suppose. Another solution to the already mentioned proportions issue would be to use CCBS friction extenders.

The Toa Mata, as everybody has already told you, were an iconic team and worth collecting. I'd also say to buy all six Barraki along with Nocturn, as they were my favourite line and are all different. I've always thought that the fun came in the bigger sets however: the Tarakava, 2003 Makuta, Nidhiki, Lhikan & Kikanalo, Brutaka, Umbra, Vezon & Fenrahk and Maxilos & Spinax are the ones I'd recommend the most.
  8. I did read your entire post, and I never said you offended me nor anyone, I was just saying that not everybody can afford the same things or has the same needs when buying LEGO. I'm sorry if I sounded rude, though. The thing is that I don't live in a country where scalping is really an option. There's no such second market for LEGO here in Spain, and I'm sure it is the case in a lot of other places. Also, Bricks & Pieces is available world wide, since it is an online service. In fact, I looked for it and Singapore is included on its list of countries. You should check it out. Be aware however that the 'buying' option won't be available again until February.
  9. Well I guess the fact that some people can spend thousands a year on LEGO doesn't mean that everybody can. I would gladly buy every CCBS set each year, but I have to pay for other things too. A piece not getting reused isn't a problem when I don't like such piece, so things like rarity don't usually make me wanna buy a set. Moreover, I'm not sure why he should buy the entire wave when he's not even sure he'll like them. I'm only gonna buy Umarak in fact, and just order any pieces I want from the others via Bricks & Pieces. That said, I'd say go for either Onua and Terak or Gali and Akida. Onua looks like the best toa of the wave to me, while Gali's unity mode is the best looking out of the six.
  10. Well, you can always use LEGO Bricks & Pieces. You can usually find ANY piece there. However, the buying system, like every year, will not be operative again until February, but that's just in a week or so so no big deal. I use it far more than pages like Bricklink. The shipping costs tend to be cheaper, and as I already said you can almost always find new pieces there. Last year there was an incident where all the new pieces from the 2015 BIONICLE summer sets appeared as "out of order", and in fact if you search for any of the new constraction sets their new pieces do not even appear. However I notified them of this via e-mail and I got a response saying they were surprised and sorry of hearing so, and that they would work on it.
  11. OK everybody stop making Kulta revamps it's not worth it anymore. Dude I think this is my favourite of your creations. Besides the troso construction being a little more complicated than it needed to be, which Victor already pointed out in your Flickr, I cannot find one single thing I'd change of this. The shape, the filling, everything looks top-notch. And that staff blaster... bloody genius. Also I really like how you manage to create clever constructions that not only look elegant but also like something you could find in an actual set.
  12. We've actually been talking about them for a few pages now. And if I'm not mistaken linking to preliminary pictures of sets is totally forbidden here, so I suggest you edit your message to delete the link.
  13. Beasts skipped leg day. I really hope LEGO improves those designs. I have really never said of a LEGO set design to be 'lazy' before, but this may be my first time if these stay the same...
  14. What!? That's unbelievaly kind! By the way, do you refer to prices in the LEGO Shop or in any other retailer? Because if it's the latter then LEGO owes me a lot of free sets :P But srsly LEGO y u so expensive in Spain...
  15. Uh... Was it a buildable action figure? Yes? Then, it was a constraction set.
